Huge, dangerous sinkholes ignored by media
December 3, 2012
I think this report is excessive, but certainly worth noting.
Massive sinkholes are popping up around the nation.
Flammable craters acres wide and leaking radiation some described as apocalyptic have forced residents out of homes and expelled radiation into the environment.
No in depth media reports tying everything together. And they often fail to mention the scale of these sinkholes that can swallow up 100 foot trees, houses, with the latest Ohio sinkhole devouring 4 football fields of land.

Some think fracking and drilling are responsible.
Is man waking up the New Madrid fault?
The 1811 New Madrid earthquakes are the most significant earthquakes to hit the United States in all of recorded history.
New Madrid fault line includes Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. In the event of a large (8.0 or higher) earthquake along the fault line, however, a much greater area would likely be affected.

NOTE
I have read when USA presses Israel to divide its land, GOD judges the U.S.A.
If the USA pushes Israel to split, give away Jerusalem, THAT may trigger a catastrophic earthquake which will split the USA in half along the Mississippi River.
Then bridges would collapse, anyone on them likely perish.  This would halt a huge amount of shipping.
Already the Mississippi is so low it impedes barge traffic.
GOD will not protect this sinful nation.

WHY isnt media reporting?  Simple.  Because 'the Beast' doesnt want it reported.
Some think the Beast is causing it hoping for a major quake to bring USA to its knees and open us to our enemies.

Louisiana Giant Sinkhole in Assumption Parish GROWING!
I have kept the Louisiana sinkhole on its own thread as there is already 2 pages

This is intended as a catch-all ONLY to point to other links which *may* be related.

There is a NEW spill October 2012
I havent found links on this yet

Martial law plans?

Connect the dots
BP wanted to drill off Libya so got the PanAm bomber released to return to Libya as a hero.
Then Obama takes US military into Libya militarily, kills Kdaffy the rightful leader, however evil.
Then leaves US Ambassador to Libya Stevens unguarded to be killed with 2 Navy SEALs.

Obama wanted to trade the ambassador as a hostage for releasing to Egypt the blind shiek Rahman, WTC 1993 but the SEALs foiled that plan.
Now the Gulf stuff arise again?   Question  Question

FLORIDA sinkhole swallowing up Windermere home's front lawn
November 13, 2012
A sinkhole close to 60 feet wide and 10 feet deep is swallowing the front yard of a home in Windermere.
Now, town engineers said dozens more homes could be in danger of sinkholes as well.
The sinkhole is off Wax Berry Court, which is off Park Avenue.
It's a low-lying area between Crescent Lake and Waussian Bay. Engineers said the ground water system connecting the two bodies of water could have caused the sinkhole to form.

"It was about half that size,” said Paul Padfield. “The depth is about twice as deep as it originally was."
Padfield noticed the sinkhole Monday morning after taking his son Alex to school.
"I put up the yellow tape to make sure the public was safe," Padfield said.

Padfield's insurance company's geotechnical engineer has taken over the sinkhole assessment, testing the ground and filing a report, which could be released later today.
However, the hole won't be filled for a couple of days.
"It's going to be questionable whether this is covered or not," Padfield said.

The Padfields moved in two years ago and don't have sinkhole insurance. He said it could cost up to $30,000 to fix the yard.
Neighbors, meanwhile, are scared. Some are thinking twice about purchasing protection against sinkholes.
"That's why we're scrambling to get ours and because if it happens there, it's going to happen elsewhere," said neighbor Charles Mallo.
At this time, engineers are confident that the sinkhole will remain the same size.

They are also thankful two large trees are there because they said the roots have prevented the sinkhole from swallowing the sidewalk.
This is the second major sinkhole to open up in Windermere this year. In May, a massive sinkhole opened up behind a home less than 4 miles away, on Indian Deer Road.
That sinkhole grew to about 60 feet wide and 30 feet deep before crews filled up the hole. The home on Indian Deer Road, however, was deemed unsafe and a total loss.

1,200-foot sinkhole opens up in Ohio: Pipeline exposed and hanging
Nov 28, 2012

— Gas company working to fix problem
— “I’ve never seen anything like this… very unusual situation”
Road collapse closes Route 516 west of Dover

A section of land the length of four football fields collapsed Wednesday afternoon leaving a gaping hole
Route 516 in Dover Township is expected to remain closed to traffic indefinitely

The collapse left about 70 to 80 feet of a 4-inch natural gas line exposed, and hanging — as it formerly was buried in the right of way. [...]
an Ohio Department of Natural Resources geologist was at the scene to assist in determining the cause of the collapse.

Part of State Route 516 in Tuscarawas Co. collapses
Ryan Eldredge, WTOV9

Officials say a collapse took a massive portion of the road down more than 50 feet, exposed a gas line and sunk utility poles. [...]
And now they are saying the roadway could be closed until the spring.
“I’ve worked for ODOT 16 years now and I’ve never seen anything like this,” said [ODOT District Deputy Director Lloyd] MacAdams. “This is very unusual situation. You would never think this pond would make it to the state route.”

Dover Fire Captain Mike Mosser said that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, ODOT and the gas company are working to fix the problem.
The gas company has addressed an exposed gas line that is no longer a hazard to the surrounding community.

Incredible Images Show Giant Sinkhole in Sweden Keeps Expanding!
14 April, 2012
 MessageToEagle.com
It looks like something taken straight from a horror movie. An enormous hole leading to hell, some would say. But this is not a movie.
This is a real and dangerous phenomenon. New shocking images clearly show the enormous pit in Sweden is expanding.
The 200 foot wide open pit is called the "Fabiangropen" (Fabian pit) and is in the Malmberget area is located at Gällivare, 75km from Kiruna, Sweden.
As you can see on the map, it is in the northern regions of Sweden.

Due to presence of many orebodies, mining at Malmberget is conducted at different levels at 600m, 815m and 1,000m.
The mining company LKAB has now taken new pictures of the pit.
In the pictures you see the new Fabian pit which has expanded during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in the former cavity full width.
The pit is square and 150×150 meters high.
This is naturally very bad news for people who live close to this giant sinkhole and many are afraid and also annoyed because of the loud noises.
According to the locals sometimes the tremor around here can last up to 45 minutes!

A HUGE deep hole opened up somewhere in South America a year or 2 ago.
Why?

LOUISIANA SINKHOLE
Experts say sinkhole gas burning off slowly
January 08, 2013
One-tenth to one-twentieth of the methane gas estimated to be trapped under the Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou communities in northern Assumption Parish has been burned off so far, according to parish emergency response officials.

Scientists believe the failure of an abandoned underground salt cavern owned by Texas Brine Co. LLC set in motion a series of events that scrambled the substrata thousands of feet deep, creating a 8.5-acre sinkhole at the surface and unleashing oil and gas from nearby natural formations underground.

The cavern, which was never used to store methane, was carved over a 27-year period from the Napoleonville Dome, a large subterranean salt deposit.
This “free gas,” as it is known, presents a risk to the 150 households in Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou areas, scientists have said, because the colorless and odorless gas can accumulate in enclosed spaces in homes and garages and pose a risk of explosion.

The risk is one of the reasons evacuated residents remain out of their homes more than five months since discovery of the swampland sinkhole Aug. 3, parish officials have said.
The pace of installing the wells that will vent the gas has drawn fire from residents and parish officials. Parish Police Jury President Martin “Marty” Triche raised this issue last month during a community meeting in Napoleonville.

Sinkhole swallows GOLFER
March 12, 2013
Golfer falls into a sinkhole in the middle of an Illinois fairway.
You know what's fun? Hitting your drive in the middle of the fairway. You know what isn't fun? Getting penalized for it. Most of the time that means your ball finds a divot, but one Illinois golfer found plenty more trouble out in the middle of a Waterloo, Ill. golf course fairway.

Mark Mihal, from Creve Coeur, Mo., was playing Annbriar Golf Course, a place he frequents, when ground gave way to the 43-year-old, dropping him 18 feet into the middle of a dirt abyss.
“I was standing in the middle of the fairway,” Mihal told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Monday. “Then, all of a sudden, before I knew it, I was underground.”

Immediately Mihal said he thought back to a story of a man that was sleeping when ground gave way and he was never recovered, but after 20 minutes, some rope and help from the course's general manager, he was pulled from the sinkhole and back on solid ground.

The story is just as crazy as it sounds. It was the first time something like this has ever happened at Annbriar Golf Course, a course that Mihal said he plays a lot because it's always in good shape, but it seems he might be avoiding it in the future. Mihal said after the incident that it might be too strange for him to return to the course because of what happened on No. 14, but come on, you're a golfer, we all have horror stories from golf courses! The difference is, most of our bad times end with the word "bogey," not "bon voyage."

I know that golfers normally get a rain check if the round gets washed away, but what's the appropriate response for a man that nearly disappeared in the turf of your track? Free golf for life? His own putting green in his back yard? A miner's helmet?
Lucky for everyone involved, Mihal suffered just a few bruises and a dislocated shoulder.

Proverbs 14:9  Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

Sinkhole opens up in Washington DC and jaded humor emerges
March 12, 2013
Obama is doing it - because - HE SUCKS from HELL!  Evil or Very Mad
Washington is used to being the brunt of jokes, particularly those centered around the action, or lack of it, on Capitol Hill.
But on Tuesday, the focus moved to the Adams Morgan neighborhood, where some saw a symbol of Washington - a gaping sinkhole in the middle of a bustling sidewalk. Unlike the fatal sinkhole that swallowed a man as he slept in his Seffner, Florida, home on February 28, or the one a golfer fell into on an Illinois fairway earlier this month, the Washington sinkhole is more on the order of a large pothole. Surrounded by yellow tape, it is about a yard (meter) square, as deep as 10 feetand sits a few miles from the White House, another frequent source of late-night television humor.
But the sinkhole quickly took on larger proportions as chatter erupted on social media.

"A sinkhole has opened in Washington D.C. Last to push their congressman in is a rotten egg," tweeted Bill O'Keefe.
"25 ft deep sinkhole in DC today and it's expanding. Seems like I got out at the right time. It was nice knowing you, Washington," tweeted T.C. Sottek.

Metropolitan Police were dispatched to the sinkhole site, and local residents said the problem might be due to a new sewer that had just been installed.
"If that is the case, it would be typical of this kind of sinkhole collapse," said Jim Kaufmann, a research physical scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey.

Sinkholes are not uncommon, Kaufman said, because about 20 percent of the United States sits atop what is known as karst terrain, regions where rock below the surface can be naturally dissolved by groundwater. Hot areas for sinkholes are Florida, Texas, Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. In a city like Washington, they can be traced to something as innocuous as a leaking pipe that erodes sediment below the surface, Kaufmann said by phone from Rolla, Missouri. They also are common after long dry spells followed by rainy periods.
Even Kaufmann initially saw the humor in Washington's encounter with the phenomenon. "It's not on Capitol Hill, is it?," he asked.

Sinkhole on major NJ highway damages 18 cars
Feb. 21, 2013
WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — A sinkhole on a major New Jersey highway has blown tires on 18 vehicles.
The sinkhole was discovered around 6 a.m. Thursday in the right lane of the Garden State Parkway southbound in Woodbridge.
Two lanes had been closed while a temporary fix was made, causing a backup. They were reopened around 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority oversees the parkway. Turnpike authority spokesman Tom Feeney says engineers are trying to figure out the cause. He says possibilities include failure of a nearby culvert or collapsed drainpipes under the road.
Feeney says a permanent fix will be made with work at night and on weekends.
