ANSWERED PRAYERS!!! Israeli-Greek defense pact invoked against Turkey
Keep praying demon Turkey will be foiled!
I'd love to see Greece fly in a bunch of Kurds. They know how to handle the Turk devils.
September 15, 2011 DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
Israel and Greece PM George Papandreou have invoked the mutual defense pact they signed secretly only 12 days ago
in the light of heavy Turkish sea and air movements in the eastern Mediterranean.
Israel cabinet called into session over the Turkish threat to its off-shore oil and gas rigs.
Greece concerned by the Turk observation flights suddenly increased over the Greek island of Kastelorizo
The flights are escorted by Turkish combat jets.
Athens fears a Turkish attack, and an attempt to damage or seize it.
Israel suspects that a Turkish attack on the Greek island will be the signal for Turkish military aggression against its
oil and gas platforms located in the Mediterranean between Israel and Cyprus.
Papandreou said the Turks are capable of surprise attacks on additional Greek islands.
Turkey backs Lebanon's Hellzballah terrorists who are puppets of Iran.
The Israeli navy and air force are to be posted at Greek Mediterranean bases. The two intelligence agencies are sharing input.
With a presence at Greek military bases, Israel will be able to operate from the rear of Turkish forces in the event of an attack by those forces in the Mediterranean.
Turkey demands
- Israel must allow ships to Gaza Strip
- Israeli warships must remain inside their 12-mile territorial waters and not guard oil and gas drilling platforms which Israel owns.
US and NATO monitoring the crisis Ankara is generating with Israel, Greece and Cyprus, and wont let it degenerate into Turkish military action.
Famous last words. US, NATO will not act, unless NATO kicks Turkey out of NATO. Big deal.
Turkey wont care, they want BIG POWER. NATO is nothing.

Turkey to host missile shield radar
September 14, 2011
Turkey and the United States have concluded a deal to host an early warning radar as part of NATOs missile defense system.
It will be deployed at a military base near Malatya in eastern Turkey, and target Israel as an ENEMY, operational by the end of 2011.
Anyone who believe it will target Iran or Syria is a fool.

Turkey War to Steal Oil, gas
September 17, 2011 Israeli-Greek-Turkish air sea forces prepare for first Cypriot gas drilling
Military tension is building up among Greece, Turkey and Israel as Cyprus prepares to start exploratory drilling for gas offshore Monday, Sept. 19.
All have placed their air and sea forces in a state of preparedness.
Turkish warplanes and fighters kept watch on the US Noble Energy rig as it moved from Israeli offshore field Noa opposite Ashdod to Cyprus Aphrodite field.
It was the first time since May 2010 Turkey attack on Israel that Turkish warships came less than 80 kilometers from Israeli territorial waters.
Israeli missile ships watched from afar on the Noble rig's movement.
As the rig moved into position opposite Cyprus, so too did 2 Turkish frigates.
Cyprus said Turkish warships and fighters had not entered territorial waters.
Turkey has aligned with Iran and its Hellzballah proxies in Lebanon, and want to steal the goods Israel has legally found.
Turkey warns their navy attack ships can attack.
Act of War
Turkish troop reinforcements landed in North Cyprus along with drilling equipment to start drilling in the Cypriot EEZ without reference to Nicosia.
This would mean that Turkey is preparing a wildcat breach of international law and treaties.
Greece warned Ankara against this Act of War.
Turkey's latest Act of War was against Israel in May 2010.
Sept 19 the Noble rig starts drilling in Cyprus Block 12 of the Mediterranean.
Turkey has painted itself into a corner.
If he orders an attack on the American rig, he will have to take the consequences, possibly a confrontation with the US, Israel, Greece and Cyprus.
If he does nothing, he will lose face as a leader able to back up his threats.
This is most likely to evolve into sea and air confrontatons involving Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Israel.

Greece under financial pressure
Decision on Greek bailout delayed till October. Less than 75% of private sector creditors will take part to buy back Greek debt,
far less than the 90% target set by Greece, a shortfall that could jeopardize the euro zone's second bailout package for Athens.
WHY should be entire EU finance Greek (or any other) unions? I consider unions communism.

Turkish navy to escort offshore energy search
Turkey urged Cyprus and a US energy firm not to start an exploratory drilling for oil and gas in the eastern Mediterranean,
warning otherwise it would launch a similar project protected by Turkish warships.
Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said if Cyprus does not heed Turkish calls to halt the planned drilling,
his country would within a week send out its own research ship and the Turkish navy would "obviously" escort it.
"This work will be carried out together with the (navy) escort," he said.
"There will be no turning back on this issue." (AP)

Opening NATO office in Turkey still on (idiots)
September 19, 2011 Monday
The possibility of opening an Israeli mission at NATO headquarters in Brussels is still on the table government officials said in response to Turkish claims that Ankara had succeeded in vetoing it.
Turkey claims they succeeded in blocking an Israeli attempt to open the office.
But Israel said that the option of opening an office at NATO headquarters in Brussels was realistic.

Turkey boasts successful Syrian policy
September 19, 2011 DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
"We sided with the Syrian people because regimes will go but the people always stay," said Turkish foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu in a bid to vindicate the zero conflict doctrine he advocates.
In order to talk down the many critics who say his doctrine is a flop, he resorted to bending Syrian reality out of its shape.
In fact, most of "the people" were gone when Davutoglu made his remark:
Bashar Assad and his army had virtually smashed their six-month protest, aided substantially by Turkey reneging on its pledge of military backing for the people against the regime's bloody crackdown.
The army is also giving special attention to the Jabal al-Zawiya region of northeast Syria not far from the Turkish border.
Thousands of Syrian soldiers on foot comb through caves, dense brush and every possible place of concealment
to flush out and kill on the spot the many Syrian army deserters who refused to fire on civilians.
They are also slaughtering any living creatures to deny the fugitives food.
Turkey, while capitalizing politically on providing some opposition leaders with a base of operation, has not lifted a finger to halt the carnage.
Bashar Assad would certainly agree that Davutoglu's doctrine of zero conflict is a smash success.

Erdogan threatens Cyprus over offshore drilling
September 19, 2011 Monday
US supports Cyprus right to explore for energy, the dispute between Turkey should not interfere.
Turkish PM Erdogan threatens military action against Nicosia after it legally goes ahead with drilling despite Ankara's objections.
Turkey has no right to the oil and no right to be demanding.
Cyprus announced it has contracted US-based Noble Energy to do exploratory drilling for oil and gas off the coast of Cyprus.
Turkey had warned Cyprus against any such move.
Noble Energy, based in Houston USA, is now smack in the middle of the escalating dispute over mineral deposits in the eastern Mediterranean, complicated by the status of Cyprus. The island has been divided since 1974 into an internationally recognized Greek Cypriot south and a breakaway Turkish Cypriot north, which is recognized only by Turkey.
Noble drilled 260 feet beneath the seabed about 115 miles off the southern coast of Cyprus.
The area in question is near sizable gas finds within Israeli waters, and within Cyprus' exclusive economic zone – an area marked out following agreements with Egypt, Israel and Lebanon delineating editerranean undersea borders to facilitate the search for mineral deposits.

US in Turkey to head off naval clash
James Clapper arrived in Ankara Sept. 18
Turkey seems willing to confront both Israel and the United States
Clapper was in Turkey for a last-ditch bid to avert hostilities erupting between Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Israel in the Mediterranean.
Clapper cautioned Turkish leaders against continuing their threatened military brinkmanship in the Mediterranean.
Clapper warned Erdogan that if it barred the sharing of information with Israel, the plan for its installation in Turkey would have to be abandoned.
The entire missile shield system is based on a network of advanced radar stations scattered across the Middle East, including the Israeli Negev,
and Israel's highly-developed ability to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles.

Turkey has begun production of its first warship, the TCG Heybeliada, a corvette class cruiser that is small, lightly armed and highly maneuverable.
Corvettes can perform a wide range of tasks including reconnaissance, anti-submarine warfare, anti-aircraft defense, and patrolling and target detection.
The Turkish program – called MILGEM - aims to produce 12 such boats and eventually export the boats to other countries.
Heybeliada was completed a few weeks ago and can carry a helicopter.
A nearly identical boat called the Buyukada is almost ready.

Turkish warships harass Israeli boats off Cyprus
October 2, 2011 DEBKA Exclusive
Israel F-15 warplanes react to Turkish harassment
Increasingly assertive Turkey is setting the scene for clashes in the eastern Mediterranean.
Since Sept. 29, Turkish warships have been harassing Israeli merchant vessels in waters off Cyprus.
They come close enough to establish wireless communication and caution the Israeli vessels they are in contravention of international law and ordering them to change course.
The Israeli crews mostly ignore these orders, treating them as Turkey bullying.
But the situation is getting explosive enough to spark a major incident.
Over the weekend, Israeli Air Force planes circled near the sites of the incidents but not directly over the Turkish vessels.
At the same time Israeli missile ships sailed close to Cyprus Exclusive Economic Zone, where Noble is drilling.
The rig is south of Cyprus adjacent to Israeli Leviathan gas field.
Sept. 30 NATO noted tensions between Turkey and Israel but did not take sides. Coward.

Turkey’s Belligerence Towards Israel and Cyprus to Prevent EU Membership
October 02, 2011 With in the next few weeks, Turkey’s request to join the EU will be revisited, but is likely to not be accepted because of its belligerent attitude towards Cyprus and Israel as well as its inability to progress in the economic and political spheres.
Turkey first attempted to join the EU in 1959 but was denied full membership and instead was given associate membership. Since then, Turkey progressed in the economic and political spheres, allowing a free market and freedom of expression with the ultimate goal being full EU membership. This progress culminated in the 1999 decision to grant Turkey “Candidate Member” status. In 2005, talks intensified but quickly stalled because of Cyprus, which is an enemy of the Ankara government and an EU member. In addition to this, liberalization has steadily slowed since that time.
Recently, EU acceptance has become more unlikely, especially in the wake of the Ankara government’s extreme reactions to the 2010 Mavi Marmara incident with Israel that ended with 9 dead Turks and several injured IDF soldiers. In addition, Turkey has involved itself in a private dispute between Greece and Macedonia over the latter’s official name, siding with Macedonia and condemning Greece in harsh terms.
Turkey has numerous disputes with Cyprus, the most recent of which is a decision to start gas exploration in a trade agreement with Israel. Turkey regards the fields in question as being officially Lebanese and has threatened by Cyprus and Israel with military action if they do not cede the fields to Lebanon and itself. In addition, Turkey has refused to pass additional reforms that would guarantee minority groups equal rights as well as meet any of the commitments listed in the Ankara Protocol. The EU criticized Turkey last week for its lack of progress as well as condemned Turkey’s threats against Cyprus and Israel.
The issues with Cyprus are likely to reach their climax next year when Cyprus assumes the EU presidency. According to Turkish and Cypriot ministers, the move is likely to lead to Turkey completely dissociating itself from the EU and instead wooing other Arab countries such as Egypt, Lebanon and countries along the North African coast into forming a pan-Arab organization similar to the EU.

Turkey's recent military moves, rhetoric have shifted from cursing to war games
Alex Fishman, Israel Opinion Op-ed
The Turks are playing with fire. It appears that Turkey PM Erdogan is crossing the fine line between verbal escalation coupled with a diplomatic fight against Israel and the facilitation of military confrontation.
The psychiatric aspects in the Israel-Turkey crisis are starting to overcome logic.
Turks claimed an 'Israeli provocation.' They claimed that Israeli fighter jets hovered above the Turkish Navy near Cyprus.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials are starting to monitor Turkish naval moves in the Mediterranean with special attention. A few weeks ago, a medium-sized Turkish battleship sailed in the Mediterranean’s eastern basin, from north to south, taking the same route as the Marmara did while moving abnormally close to Israel’s shores. While the ship did not enter Israel’s territorial waters, it sailed in ranges where military vessels usually update friendly states about their presence in order to avoid misunderstandings.
This set off alarm bells in Israel. Is Erdogan using the Turkish Navy to check Israeli alertness?
September 20th, a Turkish Navy taskforces sailed to the drill site near Cyprus.
The force comprised frigates, missile boats, a supply ship, a tugboat, and apparently two submarines as well.
This did not look like a security presence, but rather, as a force heading toward hostile states such as Cyprus, Greece and possibly Israel as well.
Generally speaking, Turkey has boosted its operations in the Mediterranean theater, both in the air and at sea, for no reason and without any perceptible strategic threat.
The flights performed by the Turkish Air Force in the region are different than what we saw in the past.
Turkey has been boasting about chasing away Israeli fighter jets.
Regardless of whether these are half-truths or fantasy, one thing is clear: Turkish rhetoric has shifted from cursing to war games.
These games could end up badly. NATO told Turkey to stop playing with fire.
If Turkey plays these games, they could end up losing a ship. However, Erdogan's hubris is leading to military escalation.
Under such circumstances, Erdogan should not be surprised to see a Turkish or Israeli pilot, who suddenly feel threatened, pressing the button and firing the missile.
The distance between provocation and a regional flare-up could be several seconds long.
So who will be stopping Erodgan?
GOD!

Turkey and Iran[/color] want power in Middle East
October 17, 2011 Publicly there appears a split between Turkey and Iran. However, Both are Islamic nations and will be loyal to Islam, NOT the west.

Turkey and Iran plot against Kurds
Turkey and Iran to cooperate to defeat Kurds on Iraq border. Both Turkey and Iran hate Kurds.
Turkey wants total Kurd genocide like their Armenian genocide decades ago.
Kurds killed 24 Turkish soldiers, I suspect self defense.
Turkish warplanes and helicopter gunships flew bombing sorties against Kurds in Iraq on the Iraq-Iran border.
Hundreds of Turkish soldiers were hunting Kurds inside Iraqi territory.
Now that Obama claims all US troops will leave IRAQ this year, both IRAN and TURKEY want it.
Kurds live in KURDISTAN, northern IRAQ, SE Turkey, NW IRAN and a bit of SYRIA.
Kurdistan is not recognized.
Saddam Hussein was massacring Kurds - thats why the USA went into Iraq.
KURDISTAN is the Biblical ASSYRIA. Mosul in Kurdistan, northern IRAQ is the old Nineveh.

Who Are the Kurds?
A largely Sunni Muslim people with their own language and culture, most Kurds live in the generally contiguous areas of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Armenia and Syria,

Before World War I, traditional Kurdish life was nomadic, revolving around sheep and goat herding throughout the Mesopotamian plains and highlands of Turkey and Iran.
The breakup of the Ottoman Empire after the war created a number of new nation-states, but not a separate Kurdistan.
