Air crash near Bushehr
3 drones slam into reactor dome

August 17, 2010     DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

Two mysterious incidents are reported by debkafile in the run-up to the fueling up of Iran's first nuclear reactor Saturday, Aug. 21

Tuesday, Aug. 17, an Iranian F4 Phantom fighter jet was claimed by Tehran to have crashed 6 kilometers north of the Bushehr nuclear reactor in southern Iran.
Debka reports it was shot down by Russian-made TOR-M1 air-missile defense batteries guarding the reactor.
A local government official Gholam Reza Keshtkar said the pilot and co-pilot ejected from the plane before it crashed and were rushed to hospital.

The TOR-M1 is designed to intercept planes or missiles coming in at medium or very low altitudes in case of American or Israeli attack.
How did the Phantom penetrate to a distance of 6 kilometers from the reactor when its skies up to a 20-kilometer radius are a no-fly zone?
Perhaps the Bushehr air defense system is slow to pick up intruders, although it is known to have been on high alert since a previous incident on Aug. 1.
Or else it may been activated when inquiries to Iranian Air Force command about the jet's identity and mission failed to elicit a satisfactory reply.

Our Iranian sources report extreme edginess in Tehran ahead of August 21 when the Russian-built Bushehr reactor enters its first operational phase in the presence of high-ranking officials from Moscow.

Tuesday afternoon, after the fighter jet crashed, the foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast  warned "any aggression against the Bushehr nuclear plant can provoke serious reactions. Based on international rules, a facility with nuclear fuel cannot be damaged"

All the Bushehr defensive systems have been on the highest alert since a previous incident first revealed on Aug. 6 by DEBKA-Net-Weekly 456:.
On Aug. 1, three unidentified UAVs slammed into the reactor buildings, scaring the townspeople who were sure the plant was under American or Israeli attack.

After the heads of government in Tehran put their heads together to try and identify the drones, without success, the defense ministry emerged with a communiqué reporting that
a single drone had crashed on the nuclear reactor's dome, but insisted it was launched by Iran.

Bushehr citizens were sure they heard 3 mighty explosions - not one. So the deputy district governor for security affairs, Mohammad Hossein Shenidi,
who is responsible for safeguarding Bushehr and its reactors against air or missile attacks, pitched in with a lighter version of the communiqué:
A single drone had indeed been fired, he admitted, but it carried no explosives because its only purpose was to simulate a loud bang to check the level of local alertness.

According to our sources, the townspeople were correct: Three drones hit the reactor killing at least 5 of its staff members.
Tuesday afternoon, another Iranian high-up, defense minister Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi, talked to reporters. He declared that the "long range UAV called Karrar would be unveiled on this day" - an apparent reference to the debkafile report of Monday, Aug. 16, that  the death of Iran's drone program head Reza Baruni had buried the program for years go come.

Regarding the delay in Moscow's delivery of S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, Vahidi declared:
"We build whatever we want inside the country, and the production of long-range air defense system in Iran is already on the agenda of the defense ministry."

Israel Has Until Week's End to Strike Iran Nuclear Facility, Bolton Says

If they were going to do anything, they certainly wouldn't be talking about it

August 17, 2010   |  FoxNews

Israel has until the weekend to launch a military strike on Iran's first nuclear plant before the humanitarian risk of an attack becomes too great, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said Tuesday.

A Russian company is expected to help Iran start loading nuclear fuel into its plant on Saturday, after which an attack on the Bushehr reactor could trigger harmful radiation.
Once it's close to the reactor the risk is when the reactor is attacked, there will be a release of radiation into the air.
It's most unlikely that they would act militarily after fuel rods are loaded.
Earlier Tuesday, Bolton told Fox Business Network the Israelis will have to move in the "next eight days" if they want to attack the Bushehr facility.

Scandal rocks Israeli military.  NOT good timing

Goodbye Iraq: Last US Combat Brigade Heads Home

IMHO - this can only mean that war with Iran is very soon.

August 19,  2010

As their convoy reached the barbed wire at the border crossing out of Iraq on Wednesday, the soldiers whooped and cheered. Then they scrambled out of their stifling hot armored vehicles, unfurled an American flag and posed for group photos.

For these troops of the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, it was a moment of relief fraught with symbolism. Seven years and five months after the U.S.-led invasion, the last American combat brigade was leaving Iraq, well ahead of President Barack Obama's Aug. 31 deadline for ending U.S. combat operations there.

———

EDITOR'S NOTE: The 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division was officially designated the last combat brigade to leave Iraq under Obama's plan to end combat operations in Iraq by Aug. 31. Associated Press writer Rebecca Santana joined the troops on their final journey out of the country.

When 18-year-old Spc. Luke Dill first rolled into Iraq as part of the U.S. invasion, his Humvee was so vulnerable to bombs that the troops lined its floor with flak jackets.

Now 25 and a staff sergeant after two tours of duty, he rode out of Iraq this week in a Stryker, an eight-wheeled behemoth encrusted with armor and add-ons to ward off grenades and other projectiles.
"It's something I'm going to be proud of for the rest of my life — the fact that I came in on the initial push and now I'm leaving with the last of the combat units," he said.

He remembered three straight days of mortar attacks outside the city of Najaf in 2003, so noisy that after the firing ended, the silence kept him awake at nights. He recalled the night skies over the northern city of Mosul being lit up by tracer bullets from almost every direction.

Now, waiting for him back in Olympia, Wash., is the "Big Boy" Harley-Davidson he purchased from one of the motorcycle company's dealerships at U.S. bases in Iraq — a vivid illustration of how embedded the American presence has become since the invasion of March 20, 2003.

From Jerry Golden in ISRAEL Aug 20

Anti Semitism in Europe is becoming so bad that Jews live in fear in many countries.
If the war begins soon,  as I believe it will, the airports in Israel will be closed.
I personally do not believe Israel will attack Iran before the 21st.  The consequences would be to kick off a world war,
and Israel does not want to be held responsible for that. Conversely, neither do we want to just sit here and wait for a
nuclear weapon to be developed.  It is not just Israel which is under dire threat.
The whole world seems to be going to hell in a handbasket

Al-Qaida prepares for Israel-Iran war

August 20, 2010   Jpost.com

New Al-Qaida chief is former US resident
Al-Shehri warns against "the greater state of Israel."

Al-Qaida is ready to exploit a war "by the Jews against Iran," the Sunni group's second-in-command in Yemen, Saeed al-Shehri, said in an audio message this month, according to the Daily Beast.

The mostly Shi'ite nation of Iran is an enemy to Al-Qaida, and al-Shehri predicted that after Israel attacked Iranian nuclear installations, Iran would blame Saudi Arabia -
which reports say may let Israel fly through its airspace to attack Iran - and use the opportunity to seize the holy cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Shehri said Israel would then seize territory from surrounding Arab nations to establish "the greater state of Israel," and the
Sunni Arab population of the Middle East would be trapped between the “Jews in the Middle East and Iran in the Peninsula," the Daily Beast reported.

Al-Qaida would benefit from an Israel-Iran war because if Israel attacked Iran's nuclear installations, Iran would use its proxies to lash back at Americans in the Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Israeli official declares: 'We're preparing for war'
Warns if world doesn't stop Iran, Jewish nation may be forced to act

While Israel is hoping for a peaceful resolution to Iran's nuclear ambitions, the Jewish state is also preparing for "a time of war," declared a Knesset member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling Likud party.

"We are prepared for all risks," said Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon. "And I think our enemies should know that even though we are speaking of peace, we are getting ready for a time of war, as well."

Danon, the deputy speaker of Israel's parliament, was speaking in a radio interview with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York's WABC 770 AM Radio.

Danon hinted that Israel may take action if the world does not stop the Iranian nuclear threat, recalling Israel's lone strike on Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981.

Stated Danon: "We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early '80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq."

Audio of the interview can be heard inside link:

Outside threats from Iran, Syria

IRAN unveils long-range bomber-drone Karrar 'Ambassador of Death'

August 22, 2010   debka

The Islamic enemies of GOD and Israel declare very imminent Middle East war
The general expectation of a US-Israeli strike on Iran faded into the background of the threatening stance currently adopted by Iran, Syria, HELLzballah and the Palestinians.
Jerusalem is extremely concerned by the placing of 4 hostile military forces on the highest level of war preparedness, and wonder why.  DUH, I wonder!

Defense minister Ehud Barak's nomination of Maj. Gen Yoav Galant as Israeli 20th chief of staff was necessary - not just to dispel the climate of intrigue among competing generals,
but to pull the high command together in view of the preparations to attack Israel gathering momentum in Tehran, Damascus, Beirut and Ramallah - and even in al Qaeda in Yemen.
Al Qaeda stated that a war between Iran and Israel is about to erupt, and called on all Arab aviators to crash their planes on Israeli city centers.

The situation is too incendiary to ignore, Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu ended the uncertainty over the choice of next chief of staff
after Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi steps down, and named Maj. Gen. Yoav Galant as his candidate for the next chief of staff.
Gen. Galant could take over Israeli military command from Ashkenazy as soon as the beginning of the Jewish New Year in September.

Aug. 3 came dangerously close to war when a Lebanese sniper killed an Israeli.
debka lists potentials for exploding into a major Middle East war

- Israeli northern and southern borders are all tense.  (I suggest ISRAEL watch the Allenby bridge and tunnels there too!)
- Russian built nuclear reactor at Bushehr
- Iran armed unmanned plane called Karrar,  'Ambassador of Death'
- The Israel-Palestinian 'peace talks' Sept. 2 going nowhere
- 9 Hizballah leaders in Lebanon in international court inquiring into the 2005 Hariri assassination, Hassan 'Nasy' Nasrallah wrongly blames Israel.
- Aug. 19 all Syrian homeland defenses and emergency services were placed on the highest war readiness for an outbreak of hostilities without further notice.

- Iran is expected to take advantage of the withdrawal of US combat troops from Iraq to make a grab for the oil-rich south and send its allies to carry out operations against Israel as a diversionary tactic.
USA is leaving some combat troops in Iraq, but calling them something other than 'combat.'

Israel will be Attacked by Lebanon and Syria before September

SYRIA - IRAN - LEBANON  =  ALL ONE EVIL ENTITY!

Doomsday Articles Reflect Edginess on Iran

The Magog War of Ezekiel 38  -   http://niv.scripturetext.com/ezekiel/38.htm
If this article is correct, Israel made a fatal error NOT bombing Iran before August 21 as they practiced to do.
I have to wonder what Israel means when they say 'NEVER AGAIN.'  Obviously they made the USA their false god and invited Death.

August 22,  2010

Israeli public nervous regarding the possibility of a war with Iran and its proxies.
An article signed by pseudonym Haggai Amos appeared under the headline
Israel will be Attacked by Lebanon and Syria within the Next 2 Weeks
A new front is taking shape: Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, North Korea, Brazil and Venezuela are all lining up against the West.

Iran wants a war to break out between Israel and Lebanon (before September).  Lebanon will launch missiles against all parts of Israel, especially Tel Aviv.
This first strike will be accompanied by missile fire from Hamas in Gaza in the south and by terror attacks in the HEART of ISRAEL, Judea, Samaria (westbank) and Jerusalem.

This will be followed by a chemical weapons attack by Syria.  Israel will retaliate against Iran proxies Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, not Iran itself.

Article predicts that Israel will take action against Iran and Iran will respond.
HELLzballah will fire thousand of rockets, Tel Aviv badly hit, the IDF Headquarters reduced to rubble.

I have tweeked what is on the link.  REMEMBER THIS??  Did the G8 PLAN to annihilate Israel?   PROBABLY!
G-8 Leaders Give Iran a September Deadline

HIGH ALERT in ISRAEL over Hamas Terror plot

August 25, 2010    debka

Hamas Palestinian terror chief Khaled Meshaal plots terror from Damascus SYRIA where he is in hiding.
His speech confirmed the Israeli information that the Palestinians are set for large-scale terror attacks against Israeli and Palestinian West Bank targets.

This is NOT new information.  Israel has known for months of coordinated attacks by ALL Arab nations surrounding Israel.
Hamas is setting its sights on torpedoing the peace talk mockery in Washington DC on Sept. 2.

Israeli and Palestinian security officials do not rule out a Hamas strike from Lebanon or even from the Mediterranean Sea.

Meshaal even threatened the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and Jordan King Abdullah. After Ramadan ends these Islamic fools feel like gods.
Mahmoud Abbas himself is a terrorist no different than Hamas, dont be fooled.  HE CANT make peace even if he wanted to, which he doesnt.

US offers nuclear umbrella if Israel scraps Iran strike

ISRAEL!  The U.S.A. IS NOT YOUR GOD!

August 26, 2010    debka

Israeli leaders indicate a strike on Iran any moment must be taken into account.  The Israeli media show nothing of this, but U.S. media does.

New IAEA Director Yukiya Amano claims his treatment of Iran would be quite different from his blind predecessor, Mohamed ElBaradei.
He promised its inspectors would  clamp down hard on Iran's nuclear activities including the Bushehr reactor.
Amano was joined by Dennis Ross who said for Israeli restraint on Iran Obama would be generous with concessions to the Palestinians
regarding Israel being permitted to build homes for their families on their own land.
(cough!  choke!  Go ahead and build, Israel - Arab attacks will blow all the homes up anyway.)
Obama totally betrayed Israel regarding the Bushehr reactor, Israel is insane to trust USA now.

ISRAEL - Settlements Building to Begin

The world will say Israel ruins 'peace' talks, but thats a LIE.
Israel is WRONG to make the USA its false god!

August 30,  2010

57 settlements will begin building on September 27th.
Will Israel begin during Sukkot?  Not likely.  Probably begin September 30th.
September is full of Jewish Holy Days.  The days between Rosh Ha Shanah and Yom Kippur are called The Days of Awe, meaning GOD's Judgment.

The building news comes as 'peace' talks are set to begin in DC Sept. 2 with Bibi and Abbas.
Abbas warned Israel alone would be held responsible for the failure of the talks if Jews built homes on their own land.

HA!  LIAR ABBAS!  FOOL WORLD WILL BELIEVE THE LIE

Netanyahu has always said the moratorium was only for 10 months and no longer. He never promised to extend West Bank settlement construction freeze.
http://www.jpost.com/LandedPages/PrintArticle.aspx?id=186446
http://www.haaretz.com/print-edit...ment-construction-freeze-1.310937

Abbas wants talks according to Quartet declaration, which calls for the establishment of an independent and viable Palestinian state and a halt to settlement construction.
