UK-US trade deal
Jan 21, 2017
-  Britain is first in line for a trade deal with the US.
Britain could strike a trade deal with the United States within 90 days of BREXIT, the Trump administration told former UKIP Nigel Farage.  Farage said Donald Trump was offering a great gift and was willing to hold talks before Britain even left the EU.

Boris Johnson is confident of a trade deal with the USA.  Chilling how much he looks like President Trump!  Trump may strengthen Britain's hand in negotiating with the European Union.

Australia to seek UK deal
Jan 22, 2017
-  Australia wants easier access for businesspeople, and exploratory talks have already begun.  Britain will have to relax immigration rules for Australians if it wants to secure a free trade deal.  Alexander Downer said Australia would seek better access for its business people before agreeing a post-Brexit trade deal with the UK.

Theresa May has made it clear that she wants to reform the UKís relationship with the EU customs union for trade deals with other countries around the world after Brexit.  Australia is ready to reach a deal with Britain and it may take on more urgency given U.S. President Donald Trumpís wish to pursue an America first strategy, raising doubts about a potential UK-US agreement.

Parliament must give Article 50 go-ahead for BREXIT
Jan 24, 2017
-  ThAT means PM Theresa May cannot begin talks with the EU until MPs and peers give their backing.  That is expected by 31 March.  But the government argued that, under the Royal Prerogative, it could make this move without the need to consult Parliament.
The Scottish Parliament and Welsh and Northern Ireland assemblies did not need a say.
