DRUG COMPANIES fulfill Revelation 18 prophecy today

Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!  Rejoice over her, O heaven!
Rejoice, saints and apostles and prophets!
God has judged her for the way she treated you.

Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:
With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again.

The light of a lamp (Statue of Liberty?) will never shine in you again.
The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again.

Your merchants were the world's great men.
By your magic spell (sorceries) all the nations were led astray.
In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth.
Revelation 18  I tweeked this read the chapter in the bible

10 of the fortune 500 companies are big pharmaceutical (drug, sorceries) companies.
Those 10 make more profit than all the other 490 companies combined.
The word sorceries comes from the Greek word pharmakia from which we get the word pharmacy or drugs.
In Rev. 9:21 the term sorceries, is associated with drugs, murder, fornication, prostitution, and theft.
All are associated with the illegal drug trade today.

Romans 7
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Anesthesia Drug Shortage
Aug. 2010
-  Heresay of a drug shortage and blogger claims its a sign of imminent war.
I believe ObamaCare bad 'health' bill discourages drug research and production.
Capitalism motivates people to work for profit - not work to give to the gimmes.
The following is on a blog.  This is a second report.

I would like to confirm the shortage in anesthesia drugs. The hospital where I work in the Midwest has been out of Sodium Pentathol and Propofol for months. Both these drugs are used to induce general anesthesia. Propofol is also used for conscious sedation.

Propofol was the first to go. The official story is that the manufacturer, Teva, stopped making it. TEVA IS a company in Israel. I believe that the plant for making Propofol is also in Israel.
Propofol is the first choice drug for inducing general anesthesia. But when there was no more Propofol, the Anesthesiologists used Sodium Pentathol. But the hospital has been unable to procure this for several months as well. They are now using a drug called etomidate. It is an older drug that works (sort of) but it is sometimes very painful going in. I’ve seen the anesthesiologists curse and swear with this drug because it is much harder to intubate or use this drug for conscious sedation or general anesthesia safely.

Finally, there is no company that manufactures Propofol in the US.
I’ve thought to myself many times how long the supply lines are for this life-saving drug (and many others.)
There is no way to know for sure, of course, but it certainly makes sense that if Israel was expecting battle injuries, they would be stockpiling Propofol. It is a good drug for trauma situations.

Physicians, Drug Companies Too Cozy for Comfort
November 9, 2010
-  In other industries you might call it a bribe, but when drug companies provide travel expenses, consulting fees and other goodies to doctors, it's just called doing business.  At least that's the conclusion of a new study by the Mongan Institute for Health Policy at Massachusetts General Hospital, which took the moral pulse of 1,900 physicians across the country.

The good news? The number of docs on the dole has fallen from an astounding 94 percent in 2004. The bad news? Three quarters of America's physicians still take some kind of hand outs from companies who want them to prescribe their medicine to their patients, according the study.  And it seems to work.

Doctors with "industry relationships" were more likely to self-report prescribing big ticket drugs, according to the paper. And regions with higher health care costs tended to have more cozy relationships.

Researchers working on drug to erase memories
November 23, 2010
Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews
Drug researchers are working on a mind-altering chemical that could erase your memories. It's all being pursued under the umbrella of "mental health" with claims that this could help victims of emotional trauma. The idea that you can "heal" a patient by chemically lobotomizing them is, of course, entirely consistent with the core mythology of modern medicine: If something's wrong, you should poison it, burn it, irradiate it or cut it out... and then pronounce the patient "healed!"

In the case of memory-erasing drugs, scientists are reportedly working on a drug that would remove certain proteins from the brain's "fear center." This is based on the ludicrous idea, by the way, that memories are recorded solely by physical proteins in the brain -- an idea that's obviously based on an entirely outmoded mechanistic model of the human mind and brain.

Then again, modern medical science seems to be hopelessly stuck in the Dark Ages, believing that there must be a chemical cure for everything. Hence the ongoing waste of billions of dollars searching for a cancer cure as if it were some sort of acquired infection.

Kate Farinholt, executive director of the mental health support and information group in Maryland said: "Completely deleting a memory, assuming it's one memory, is a little scary. How do you remove a memory without removing a whole part of someone's life, and is it best to do that, considering that people grow and learn from their experiences?"

Antipsychotic drug prescriptions triple in the US
Jan 2011
-  Doctors are prescribing too many expensive antipsychotic drugs, often for conditions where there is little evidence they work, say US researchers.  PRESCRIPTIONS for antipsychotic drugs have more than doubled in the US over the past 15 years, often given for conditions for which there is scant evidence they work.  Antipsychotic drugs are often given for conditions for which there is scant evidence they work

Expensive antipsychotics were originally approved to treat schizophrenia. They are now also prescribed for conditions including anxiety disorders and dementia, even though the Food and Drug Administration has not approved these off-label uses. The side effects of such drugs can include diabetes, weight gain and an increased risk of heart disease.

Caleb Alexander at the University of Chicago and colleagues analysed the results of a survey of visits to doctors between 1995 and 2008. In the sample population, the prescriptions of antipsychotics went from 6.2 million in 1995 to 16.7 million in 2006 and fell to 14.3 million in 2008. Off-label prescriptions also doubled during this time (Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, DOI: 10.1002/pds.2082).

Federal agency to spearhead new drug-development center
Jan, 2011 -
The Obama administration has become so concerned about the slowing pace of new drugs coming out of the pharmaceutical industry that officials have decided to start a billion-dollar government drug development center to help create medicines[/size][/b]. The new effort comes as many large drugmakers, unable to find enough new drugs, are paring back research. Promising discoveries in such illnesses as depression and Parkinson's that once would have led to clinical trials are instead going unexplored because companies have neither the will nor the resources to undertake the effort. Drug companies have typically spent twice as much on marketing as on research, a business model that is increasingly suspect. The initial financing of the government's new drug center is small compared with the $45.8 billion that the industry estimates it invested in research in 2009. The cost of bringing a single drug to market can exceed $1 billion, according to some estimates.

Groundwork for drug firms
The National Institutes of Health has traditionally focused on basic research, such as describing the structure of proteins, leaving industry to create drugs using those compounds. But the drug industry's research productivity has been declining for 15 years, "and it certainly doesn't show any signs of turning upward," said Dr. Francis Collins, director of the institutes. The job of the new center, to be called the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, is akin to that of a home seller who spruces up properties to attract buyers in a down market. In this case, the center will do as much research as it needs to do to attract drug company investment. That means that in some cases, the center will use one of the institutes' four new robotic screeners to find chemicals that affect enzymes and might lead to the development of a drug or a cure. In other cases, the center might need to discover not only the right chemicals but also perform animal tests to ensure that they are safe and even start human trials to see whether they work. All of that has traditionally been done by drug companies, not the government. "None of this is intended to be competitive with the private sector," Collins said. "The hope would be that any project that reaches the point of commercial appeal would be moved out of the academic support line and into the private sector." Whether the government can succeed where private industry has failed is uncertain, officials say, but they say doing nothing is not an option. The health and human services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, sent a letter to Congress on Jan. 14 outlining the plan to open the new drug center by October — an unusually rapid turnaround for an idea first released with little fanfare in December. Creating the center is a signature effort of Collins, who once directed the agency's Human Genome Project. Collins has been predicting for years that gene sequencing will lead to a vast array of new treatments, but years of effort and tens of billions of dollars in financing by drugmakers in gene-related research have largely been a bust. As a result, industry has become far less willing to follow the latest genetic advances with expensive clinical trials. Rather than wait longer, Collins has decided the government can start the work itself. "I am a little frustrated to see how many of the discoveries that do look as though they have therapeutic implications are waiting for the pharmaceutical industry to follow through with them," he said.

Catalyst for breakthroughs
Collins' ability to conceive and create such a center in a few short months would have been impossible for most of his predecessors, who had nice offices but little power. But Congress in recent years has invested real budgetary and administrative authority in the director's office, and Collins is the first director to fully use these new powers. Under the plan, more than $700 million in research projects underway at various institutes and centers would be brought together at the new center. Officials hope the prospect of finding new drugs will lure Congress into increasing the center's financing well beyond $1 billion. Hopes of new money may be optimistic. House Republicans have promised to cut the kind of discretionary domestic spending that supports the health institutes, and officials are already bracing for significant cuts this year.

But Collins has hinted that he is willing to cannibalize other parts of the health institutes to bring more resources to the new center. "There are some people that would say this is not the time to do something bold and ambitious because the budget is so tight," he said. "But we would be irresponsible not to take advantage of scientific opportunity, even if it means tightening in other places." For the plan to go into effect by October, the administration must by law get rid of one of the 27 centers and institutes already in existence at the NIH — something that has never been done before. So the administration plans to downgrade the National Center for Research Resources, in part by giving some of its functions to the new drug center. Researchers and staff members connected to the research resources center have inundated a complaint blog about the coming change. Mark Lively, a professor of biochemistry at Wake Forest University and a member of an advisory council to the research resources center, said he could not understand why the administration was moving so quickly with its plans.

MIND CONTROL DRUGS
April, 2011
NaturalNews -  Scientists warn that drugs of the future will be designed specifically to control the human mind. It may sound like something out of a science fiction plot, but Oxford researchers say that modern conventional medicine is gradually developing ways to change the moral states of humans through pharmaceutical drugs, and thus control the way people think and act in various life situations. These new drugs will literally have the ability to disrupt an individual's personal morality, and instead reprogram that person to believe and do whatever the drug designer has created that drug to do.

"Science has ignored the question of moral improvement so far, but it is now becoming a big debate," said Dr. Guy Kahane from the Oxford Centre for Neuroethics in the UK. "There is already a growing body of research you can describe in these terms. Studies show that certain drugs affect the ways people respond to moral dilemmas by increasing their sense of empathy, group affiliation and by reducing aggression."

While this may sound good in theory, mind control is already a very dangerous side effect of existing drugs. Take the antidepressant drug Prozac, for instance, which has been known to cause those taking it to lash out in violent rages. One young boy murdered his father by beating him and stabbing him in the head, and hit his mother with a crowbar and stabbed her in the face, shortly after starting to take Prozac (http://www.naturalnews.com/News_000...).

But the kinds of drugs Kahane and his colleagues are referring to imply designer drugs specifically designed to not only alter one's mental state, but also to change the way that person thinks about situations from a moral perspective. The end result is literally a type of drug-induced mind control where human subjects will be controlled by someone else, and unable to make conscious decisions for themselves.

Research on the subject, of course, tries to paint the idea of mind-control drugs in a positive light, suggesting that they could be used to help make the world a better place. Just imagine less violence, more trust, and more love, they say. This rhetoric, though, is really just a ploy to further numb the already mind-numbed masses into accepting the idea as a good thing.

Babies given anti-obesity drugs in the womb
11 May 2011
-  Babies to be given diet drug in the womb to stop them being born overweight in trial described as ‘disturbing’ by weight loss groups.
Doctors hope it will prevent the birth of oversized babies, thereby reducing the need for caesarean sections

One hundred obese mums-to-be will be given Metformin as part of a three-year study to tackle obesity rates and reduce the number of difficult births.
Patients at Liverpool Women's Hospital will be given the drug to reduce the food supply to their unborn babies, although it will not help the mums themselves to lose weight.

Leading the trial, senior lecturer in obstetrics, Dr Andrew Weeks, said: "It is about trying to improve outcomes in pregnancy for women who are overweight.
"The problem is babies tend to be larger and many of the downsides of being overweight during pregnancy relate to the birth."

Officials fear for infants born to prescription drug addicts
July, 2011
-  According to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, prescription drug overdose deaths in Florida are up a staggering 265% since 2003. But it's not just the deaths that have Florida officials worried; it's the births.

"We saw the number of crack babies that died, and this is just another version of that," Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti said. "We all need to be concerned."

According to state health records, 635 Florida babies were born addicted to prescription drugs in the first half of 2010 alone. South Florida doctors and intensive care nurses report an dramatic uptick in babies born hooked on pills that their mothers abused while pregnant.

"They go through withdrawal symptoms," said Mary Osuch, the head nurse at Broward General Medical Center's neonatal intensive care unit. "They're crampy, miserable. They sweat. They can have rapid breathing. Sometimes, they can even have seizures."

According to the White House Office on Drug Control Policy, prescription drug abuse is the nation's fastest-growing drug problem.

Prescription Drug Statistics
Nov 2011
-  Prescription drug statistics … if you sought the most important facts you REALLY need to know from the prescription drug companies themselves, you of course would not find them. Drug companies have ranked as one of the top three most profitable industries in the world for years, so they certainly don’t want these statistics below widely known to dent those profits.

If you sought the the prescription drug statistics you REALLY need to know from the mass media, you of course won’t hear them there either — prescription drug companies spend $5 BILLION dollars on TV advertising alone, so why would the mainstream news want to upset and lose one of its best customers?

In fact, because the drug companies have the mainstream media in their back pocket, and preventative health is the enemy of drug company profits (less sick people = less of a market for prescription drugs), the big TV news networks are more than happy to support the drug companies’ war on vitamins, supplements, and natural health.

(BIG CLUE: See the statistics below on the prescription drug deaths annually versus deaths from supplements annually, and ask yourself WHY the mainstream media is portraying supplements and other natural health approaches as dangerous but prescription drugs as the savior of the world?)

Finally, if you sought the prescription drug statistics you REALLY need to know directly from the government, here are the three words that will prevent you from getting them: pharmaceutical company lobbyists.

At $270 million dollars in the U.S. alone, the drug companies’ federal lobbying expenditures outpace ALL other business industries and special interests. Like their counterparts in the mainstream media, the FDA (Fast Drug Approvals!) is eager to help their best customer by far — the pharmaceutical companies — by driving up your costs for vitamins and supplements astronomically.

They intend to do this by creating guidelines that make it extremely difficult for the preventative health industry to manufacture vitamins and supplements, amongst other attacks on natural health and wellness.

(Because again, if people en masse actually practiced preventative health, sickness would be dramatically reduced. The pharmaceutical companies’ entire business model depends on sickness, so their profits would be dramatically reduced. And that would mean less and less money for the prescription drug companies to shovel into Washington, D.C.!)

Meanwhile, just see the prescription drug statistics below — and please share this page with others via your Facebook page, Tweets, email, blogs, etc., because everyone deserves to know this information!

And then ask yourself, why aren’t these disgusting statistics being treated like the national (and international) emergency that they are?

Please do share your comments on this question above (click next to Comments), on these prescription drug statistics, and/or provide any other statistics or insights you have on this topic to help us expose the TRUTH to the world and wrestle our very lives (and our health freedom) BACK from the drug companies, the mainstream media, and the government!

Prescription Drug Statistics You REALLY Need to Know

Over 100,000 people die each year from prescription drug side effects in the U.S. alone. This does NOT include deaths from doctors accidentally prescribing the wrong drugs, nor from pharmacists filling the prescription incorrectly, nor from patients overdosing. It is from “side effects”! (Read Our Daily Meds: How the Pharmaceutical Companies Transformed Themselves into Slick Marketing Machines and Hooked the Nation on Prescription Drugs.)

U.S. hospitalizations for poisonings by prescription drugs including opiods, sedatives, and tranquilizers increased a total of 65% between 1999 and 2006 alone. Those hospitalized were most likely to be women over age 34.

The rates of death from these poisonings by prescription drugs has surpassed motor vehicle crashes as the leading cause of unintentional injury death.
There are typically NO deaths from vitamins or dietary supplements in the U.S. in any given year. In 2007, the latest year for available statistics on this from the U.S. National Poison Data System, the sum total was zero deaths.

Prescription painkiller drug abuse, meanwhile, accounts for an additional 15,000 deaths in the U.S. alone. That’s 40 Americans dying each day, more than the number of deaths from **** and **** use combined.

Pharmaceuticals are a $650 billion dollar a year business — $307 billion in the U.S. alone — and for years the most profitable U.S. business has been the pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmaceutical companies spend almost TWICE as much on marketing – around $60 billion annually — as they do on research. And what they do spend on research is largely for drugs that merely treat diseases, and compete with other drug companies’ treatment drugs, not drugs that cure diseases (curing disease would be highly unprofitable for them!)

56% of this marketing is free samples, and 25% is “detailing” of physicians

A study by researchers at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that, on average, a 10% increase in direct-to-consumer advertising of drugs within a therapeutic drug class resulted in a 1% increase in sales of the drugs in that class.

Prescription drug prices keep rising — in 2010, the average price increase for brand-name prescription drugs was 6.9%. Some of the prescription drugs with the largest price increases include the blood-pressure pill Benicar, which saw a 29.4% increase; the attention-deficit-disorder drug Concerta, which saw a 19.7% increase; and the cholesterol drug Lipitor, which saw a 12.4% increase.

About HALF of Americans take at least one prescription drug, and one out of six take three or more prescription drugs.

Of people over the age of 60, 88% are taking at least one prescription drug. Almost 45% of those over 60 take cholesterol-lowering prescriptions – the #1 prescription drug for that age group and more than double the rate from 1999!

One in five prescriptions filled for those over the age of 65 are classified as a “drug of concern,” meaning potentially severe adverse effects.

Medical errors may result in between 44,000 and 98,000 preventable deaths and over 1,000,000 excess injuries in the U.S. Of these, medication errors are the most common medical mistakes.

400,000 preventable drug-related injuries occur each year in hospitals, 800,000 in long-term care settings, and roughly 530,000 among Medicare recipients in outpatient clinics.

Antidepressants are one of the most commonly prescribed drugs in the U.S., with about 120 million prescribed annually and used by about 27 million Americans. The most common market for antidepressants are those age 20 to 59.

Use of antidepressants tripled between 1988-94 and 1999-2000, nearly doubled between 1995-2002, and are still experiencing an astronomical rise. According to Dr. David M. Reiss, a San Diego psychiatrist, in an American Medical News report, “Contributing to the rise in antidepressant prescriptions are direct-to-patient advertisements that suggest many common conditions, such as mild anxiety, stress and trouble sleeping, need to be treated medically.“

The proportion of non-psychiatrists doctor visits where antidepressants were prescribed without a documented psychiatric diagnosis increased from 59.5 percent to 72.7 between 1996 and 2007.

In 1999, 3% of adolescents were prescribed drugs for ADHD. Today, that number has risen to over 6%, making it the most common prescription drug for that age group.

Meanwhile in England, prescriptions for strong painkiller drugs have seen a 400% increase in the past ten years

The prescription drug statistics above paint a picture that is easy for you — and everyone you pass this page along to — to see.

Yes, some prescription drugs may be necessary … but certainly not at the ever-increasing volumes being ferociously marketed and therefore prescribed. It CAN and DOES brainwash people (many of whom are desperately confronting illness and therefore vulnerable) into believing that taking prescription drugs IS healthcare when in fact it is largely a band-aid approach.

A pharmaceutical industry that thrives on people being sick for its profits — and a government and mainstream media heavily manipulated by that industry — does NOT translate into anything remotely close to quality healthcare (and that is understatement.)

So do you really want to put the control of your health into what I will just bluntly call the three-headed-monster?

Yes, because you should OWN your own health — as much as they want to rip that ownership away from you for obvious reasons — you do have to be responsible in ensuring the insights, vitamins, supplements, foods, and other tools you decide to employ in your healthcare are reputable. Make sure the organizations you receive them from are reputable and have research to back their tools, for example.

BUT with the above prescription drug statistics in mind — and with whatever knowledge you already have about the pharmaceutical industry, the mainstream media, and the government — do you really want them controlling what you can and cannot choose to do with your health? Do you trust them?
