Star of Bethlehem * Jupiter and Venus converge
Venus, Jupiter & Crescent Moon Conjunction
27 Feb 2012 posted by Poppajoe
Tonight there was a conjunction in the west sky after sunset with the planets Jupiter, Venus and the crescent moon. The heavens was laid out by God as a sign for us to see the message about the victory of Jesus over Satan. I'm not talking about the constellations from the view point of astrology but from a Biblical explanation.
Jupiter (The Hebrew name for Jupiter is Tzedeq, which means “righteousness.” Thus we see Jupiter as representing the King of Righteousness, or The Righteous Ruler. Jupiter has long been recognized as a Messianic star, being associated with the Messiah.) was on the head of the constellation Cetus (the serpent), Venus (Venus is symbolic of the Virgin, and is both a reference to the virgin who was to give birth to the Son of God, as well as being symbolic of the church.)was in the ribbon that connects the two fish of the constellation Pisces and Moon was at the mouth of the ram Aries constellation.
I'm going to copy some explanations from a Christian web site explaining about the constellations and their meanings in relation to the end of time.
In all the legends and myths of the ancient world, Cetus is associated with the idea of wickedness, or of ferocity. He is portrayed as the "Dusky Monster", Jonah's whale, or Job's leviathan. The Chaledeans regarded Cetus as the ferocious Tiamat. The Greeks said that he is the sea monster sent to devour Andromeda, and hence, he was destroyed by Perseus who caused the monster to be turned to stone by holding the head of the Medusa before it.
The truth is that this sign DOES represent evil in its entirety. He is the enemy of our souls, Satan and all the influences Satan evokes in the world. Cetus is the biggest constellation (exception Argo, which is actually a composite of three constellations), and it's true that this enemy can seem like the biggest obstacle to overcome. But we must remember the whole picture. Here is the huge, ferocious beast -- and yet he is being trampled on, his bands are being cut, and a river of fire is scorching his forepaws.
We must go back to the original Seed-prophecy we discussed in Scorpio. Remember in Genesis 3:15, God gives a prophetic message to Eve. He tells her that her Seed (Jesus Christ) will crush the head of the seed of the snake (Satan), while the seed of the snake will bruise the heel of the Seed of the woman. We finally see this prophecy fulfilled in Cetus. This star sign represents the time (soon?) when Jesus Christ will return to take His place as ruler of this world. Evil will ultimately be defeated.
The Big Picture
Cetus is a three-natured beast. He is part fish (tail), part reptile (head), and part mammal (paws). These three natures represent the three sources of our imprisonment of sin. The fish represents the world. The mammal represents the flesh. And the reptile represents the Devil. These are the three areas in which the Church will struggle as long as we are connected to this world (and this monster!) by The Band. But don't forget!! Aries has broken that band now. The Church is the beautiful Cassiopeia enthroned in Heaven and partaking of the Marriage Feast. The three areas of our enslavement are being defeated in this sign. Look closely. First, a river of God's wrath is scorching the paws (the flesh); next Aries is pressing down on top of the head and neck (the Devil and the world), and finally Taurus the Bull is trampling down on its head (the Devil). This is a picture of complete defeat.
The Gospel Truth
color=red]Remember that Aries and all his decans (associated constellations) represent the fulfillment of all God's promises to the believers. And Cetus represents the completion of that original Seed-Prophecy. Here is the seed of Satan receiving the crushing bruise to the head from Aries (the triumphant Lamb that was slain) who is trampling this sea monster under its feet with the same forepaws that are severing the band (The Band) that binds the fish (Pisces). The River of Light that issues from Orion's foot is flowing directly into the monster who is deperately trying to stop it with its forepaws. And finally, the bands that had been his only source of power and influence in the believer's life are being cut! This is a vivid picture of the Rapture and its double-edged effect --the escape of the Church and the judgment of the enemy.[/color]
These three constellations were highlighted by this conjunction tonight!
Venus & Jupiter to pair in spectacular 'Star of Bethlehem' conjunction
June 30, 2015 The two brightest planets Venus and Jupiter are to appear so close in the sky in the upcoming nights that they will be seen like a single super bright star, which some astronomy-lovers say resembles the biblical 'Star of Bethlehem'.
“Throughout the month of June 2015, the two brightest planets in the night sky, Venus and Jupiter, are going to converge for a close jaw-dropping encounter,” said NASA in a news release.
During the whole month the planets were drawing closer to each other and on June 30 they will reach their tightest grouping. In fact every night in June, the separation between the celestial bodies was visibly shrinking.
“On that night [June 30] Venus and Jupiter will be a … 1/3rd of a degree apart. That's less than the diameter of a full moon. You'll be able to hide the pair not just behind the palm of your outstretched hand, but behind your little pinky finger,” added NASA.

Star of Bethlehem? Jupiter and Venus converge in night sky (+video)
On June 30, 2015 Jupiter and Venus will converge and create a dramatic 'star' in the Western sky after sunset.
Jupiter and Venus will merge into a dazzling "super-star" in the Western horizon by the end of June, NASA says.
The conjunction of the two planets has been building during the month of June and will culminate in a spectacular display on June 30. “Every night in June, the separation between Venus and Jupiter will visibly shrink,” says NASA.
A conjunction is when two or more objects appear very close together on the sky.

On the evening of June 30, Venus and Jupiter will appear in the sky just a third of a degree apart. “That's less than the diameter of a full Moon. You'll be able to hide the pair not just behind the palm of your outstretched hand, but behind your little pinky finger,” NASA enthuses.
Sky & Telescope suggests that a similar rare conjunction of Venus and Jupiter may have been what's been called the "Star of Bethlehem" in 3-2 BC.
While the conjunction is certainly visible with the naked eye, Sky and Telescope says viewing it with a telescope or binoculars will offer a different perspective: “Both planets will crowd into same telescopic field of view, Venus appearing as a fat crescent and round Jupiter accompanied by its four large moons. The two planets will appear nearly as the same size, but Jupiter, though much larger in reality, is much farther away.... Their globes will contrast dramatically in brightness, with Venus’s crescent appearing dazzling white compared to Jupiter’s duller, striped cloud deck.”
Pat Hartigan, an astronomer at Rice University, says the conjunction on June 30 is the best one we will have for over a decade, rivaled only by one on March 1, 2023, which will not be quite as close.
So where and when should we look for it? Look to the west-northwest as soon as it gets dark, says Dr. Hartigan. "After about two hours for most latitudes the objects will become difficult to observe as they begin to set. They are bright. You might mistake them for airplanes."
Star of Bethlehem shines again
July 2, 2015 - Jupiter and Venus line up for celestial conjunction, which may have been the Star of Bethlehem. The phenomenon, known as a conjunction, happens relatively often, but the display is not always so easily seen with the naked eye and from so many locations. In Jerusalem, the two planets could clearly been seen hanging in the western sky and appeared as a double star.
