Reiki, Energy Healing, New Age is NOT CHRISTIAN!
It may claim to be - god/christian - but its demonic

The New Age Christian - Oxymoron, Therapeutic Massage

(from A Time of Departing, from chapter 5, "Discernment")

The current popularity with meditative mysticism presents a very new and perplexing challenge for evangelical Christianity. We are beginning to encounter the New Age or Aquarian Christian. This new term describes someone who remains in his or her home church and professes the Christian faith but has also incorporated various aspects of the New Age or Aquarian mindset into his or her life. New Age author David Spangler was very optimistic about the possibility of this integration when he wrote, “The point is that the New Age is here … it builds itself and forms itself in the midst of the old.”1

What has fueled the momentum of this trend is the buffet-style dining approach that has become a hallmark of American religious sensibilities in the last twenty years—you take what you want and leave the rest. Americans are picking and blending religions as if they were ordering espressos: pick your espresso blend, but you still get coffee—pick your spiritual path, but you still get God. Whatever suits your spiritual tastes, you bring together. The result is hybrid New Age spirituality.

I recall a conversation once with a woman in a coffee bar. We chatted on spiritual subjects, and her comments led me to believe she was an evangelical Christian. Towards the end of our friendly conversation she dropped a bombshell on me when she blurted-out, “Well, we all have the Christ consciousness!”

In another incident, a local pastor shared with me how a woman he had long known as a strong solid Christian was almost swept up by New Age thinking. Her young adult son had been addicted to drugs and went through a drug rehabilitation program. In the process, his counselor introduced him to New Age spirituality.  He, in turn, shared it with his mother, giving her a book to read titled Conversations With God (a New Age bestseller).

Incredibly, she found herself being swayed by the book’s arguments and began to doubt whether or not her evangelical Christianity was indeed the only way to God. Her desire to see her son aligned with God left her mind open in welcoming the possibility that various mystical paths were equally genuine in finding God.  It took this pastor nearly two hours to help this woman understand the error of her thinking. Keep in mind this woman was a solid and devoted Christian who had been living her Christian faith for decades. If these Christians can be swayed, what about people who are even more vulnerable to what is going on in the larger culture?

The New Age message has such a positive ring that it is necessary to look behind the appealing facade to see what is actually there. If one goes to a massage therapist who does Reiki one should know the true nature of that practice. If your doctor wants you to meditate, you should know the spiritual dangers of non-biblical meditation.

As the world moves further into becoming a full-fledged mystical society, it will become increasingly difficult to escape the ideas and practices described in this chapter. Christians must become aware of what is happening in order to make informed choices about things that may adversely affect them spiritually. In addition, many of our friends, family members, and co-workers will be seeking spiritual solutions to the uncertainties of our society and the world in which we live as a whole. The following account brings this point home like no other. A Christian in Georgia emailed me with the following story:

At work a colleague who is a deacon at the local Baptist church was telling me about his visits to a local woman for “Therapeutic Massage.” He said she used “some kind of Indian technique.”
I asked him if it was Reiki and he said “Yeah that’s it. She’s a Reiki practitioner.” I told him what I had read in your book about Reiki and he got defensive.  He said, “I don’t care what it is as long as it works.”

I was floored. I said, “You are a deacon. How can you make such a statement?”
He said, “There are several deacons at my church that believe in Reiki.”

I pleaded with him to do some research on the subject and I sent him an email with quotes off some sites that promote Reiki. Later he told me he could see where I was coming from but that as long as he didn’t believe in the spiritual aspect of it, he didn’t see why he shouldn’t participate in it. I was surprised that there was a Reiki practitioner in the middle of rural Bible Belt America. I guess nothing should shock me anymore.2

One book on the Chakra* system clearly shows:
Many people who have open crown chakras have had a profound spiritual experience in which their usual sense of being separate and apart falls away and there is a feeling of being at One with All and Everything.  There is a profound sense of merging.… There is, in essence, a feeling that All of This Is God, and I Am a part of all of this so I, too, Am God.3

This concept of course, has its source in the spirit world. The  “Reiki News” provides this evidence:

Imagine my surprise during my first Reiki class when I observed the astral images of guides and healing spirits pouring forth bright shimmering rays of healing energy at the hands of novice practitioners. 4

Interest in Reiki and other mystical practices are accelerating to such a degree that most people will come face to face with this sooner or later. One popular counselor made the following assessment regarding the growing momentum of New Age practical mysticism:

We cannot overstate how profoundly their impact is being felt in education, business, medicine, and psychotherapy. It is safe to say that the prevailing religion in America … is no longer Christianity but is instead New Age.5

It would not surprise me if the majority of people in America have a family member or close friend who does mantra meditation, practices yoga, has either encountered Reiki or Therapeutic Touch, or is an avid fan of the Oprah Winfrey show. How could anyone possibly conceive that any of these seemingly benign or even helpful methods or talkshows might have a connection to Satan or that which is against God? A brother in Christ whom I met for coffee one day gave me the answer to that question: He referred to the Scripture in which Eve took of the fruit, and while it had the appearance of something good, the results of her partaking were detrimental.

So when the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. (Genesis 3:6)

Secondly, and just as important, what actually constitutes that which is satanic? Virtually everyone in Christendom equates that term, satanic, with things dark and sinister. However, the Bible paints a far different picture of Satan—one that fits the New Age movement perfectly. Satan said, “I will be like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:14). He did not say he would be the Most High; he said he would be like the Most High. The word “like” here means to correspond to. How could Satan accomplish this mission?

It is important to understand that Satan is not simply trying to draw people to the dark side of a good versus evil conflict. Actually, he is trying to eradicate the gap between himself and God, between good and evil, altogether. When we understand this approach it helps us see why Thomas Merton said everyone is already united with God or why Jack Canfield said he felt God flowing through all things. All means all—nothing left out. Such reasoning implies that God has given His glory to all of creation; since Satan is part of creation, then he too shares in this glory, and thus is “like the Most High.”

Contrary to this belief of good and evil merging and man or creation becoming “like the Most High,” man and God can only be brought together through the Cross. If the all-is-one view were true, then salvation through a Redeemer would become unnecessary and Jesus’ death on the Cross would be rendered altogether futile and pointless. In order for the Cross to make any sense, there must be a separation between God’s perfect nature and Man’s sin nature. We know Satan has only one enemy—the Cross; he knows that without it no human being can be restored to God.

The Bible says the message of the Cross is the power of God, and while there are two opposing spiritual realms, God has always and will always, prevail. Satan can never thwart God’s ultimate plan. And yet, today’s Western society is enticed by practical mystics who deny, by their own proclamations, God’s plan of eternal salvation. Will the majority of mankind come to believe that all is one and there is no line to be drawn in the sand regarding good and evil? The Bible admonishes, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20)
Yet, such a plan now exists and will shape future events, events that will alter the course on which millions will advance.

DECEPTION - Energy Healing, Reiki
An increasing number of people, including Christians, are embracing Reiki and other energy healing techniques.
The reason for this level of acceptance is easy to understand. Most people believe if something is spiritually positive, then it is of God.
But there is more than meets the eye with these practices. And the implications are staggering.
With over one and a half million Reiki channelers in the U.S., alone, it is important to understand what energy healing is all about.

Reiki and Yoga Meditation
I was recently interviewed by radio talk show host, Jan Markell for her Olive Tree Ministries on which we discussed Rick Warren’s Health and Wellness plan designed by his three New Age doctor/advisors who practice Hinduism, Buddhism and Japanese Reiki Healing.
Warren’s too supported the technique of eastern meditation promoting it as though meditation and prayer are one and the same and interchangeable. Such is the acceptance within an eastern worldview but the confusion arises because Warren’s primary audience are Christians who understand the concepts of “prayer” and “meditation” within a Biblical worldview. My radio interviews have brought us an encouraging response but needless to say there is great concern and rightly so.

Reiki Power and Rick Warren's Health Plan
Is Rick Warren telling the truth? Does the Bible really say that "God wants us to be as healthy physically as you are spiritually"?
No, it does not!

Satanic DECEPTIONS -  in the church
Its IMPOSSIBLE to list all the Deceptions, there are too many.  These are a few of them IN THE CHURCH!
There are countless deceptive practices infiltrating the church these days.  It's almost more than one person can keep up with!  Heard the term Therapeutic Touch?
Anyone you know receiving help with a physical malady through this practice?  What does the term, Christ consciousness mean?
Have you been invited to participate in, Centering Prayer?
And what in the world is the deal with the Catholic Church trying to merge with the evangelical/Protestant church and make us all one, big, happy family?

DECEPTION - The Jesuit Agenda and the Church
Ecumenism and a one-world religion.  Jesuits were commissioned by the Pope to do whatever it took to end the Protestant Reformation.
While most Christians think that the Counter Reformation is a thing of the past because we are not seeing inquisitions today,
this movement continues with renewed effort through various avenues of the evangelical/Protestant church.
In a way, it is more insidious than the Inquisitions because now it has infiltrated Christianity and is being disguised as the new christianity.

DECEPTION - Emerging Church
The world is changing. So is the Christian evangelical church.
The Gospel message is and has always been about who Jesus Christ is and what He has done.
A child can understand the Gospel message. The good news is that we can be saved from our sins if we will repent and simply ask for forgiveness and follow Jesus.

God’s adversary does not want mankind to understand that simple message. His plan is to deceive the world If he can blind people from the Gospel or convince them that they believe the Gospel when, indeed, they do not, his plan has been successful. And therein lies the danger of The Emerging Church.

If it continues unfolding at its present pace, the Emerging Church will reinvent mainstream evangelical Christianity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Scripture will be considered too narrow and too restrictive. In other words, the narrow way to Heaven that Jesus proclaimed will eventually be abandoned for a wider way. Forever.
You’ll want to read this short pamphlet to be prepared for the deception that is spreading like a wildfire through what has been known, traditionally, as evangelicalism.

DECEPTION - Contemplative Prayer
Contemplative prayer is being accepted by an increasing number of evangelical leaders, often based not on their own experience and understanding, but rather on the word of other respected leaders who, in turn, may not have fully researched this subject. This pamphlet provides that needed research information.

Warning: The purpose of contemplative prayer is to enter an altered state of consciousness in order to find one’s true self, thus finding God. Christian propnents of contemplative prayer teach that all human beings have a divine center and that all people should practice contemplative prayer.

This is vital information for today’s discerning Christian in order to be able to spread the word about the dangers of this New Age practice that has infiltrated the church.

DECEPTION - ISRAEL, Replacing What God Has Not
A growing number within the church are holding to the position that Israel -- as a people and a nation -- has no further place with God, and that Israel is eternally cast off for their rejection of the Messiah. At a time when a clear and biblically-sound understanding of Bible prophecy is most important, we find the church, paradoxically, having less knowledge of it, especially as it relates to Israel. This pamphlet will provide a biblically-sound crash course on God’s agenda for His people, Israel, and how the church has been grafted into that agenda.

Nigel Evans says reiki massage caused head bruise
Deputy speaker explains mysterious mark on forehead which appeared day before arrest for alleged rape and sexual assault
06 May 2013
Nigel Evans, the deputy speaker of the House of Commons who is facing allegations of rape and sexual assault, has revealed the cause of a mysterious mark on his forehead.

The 55-year-old MP said the "painful" bruise appeared on Thursday – the day before his arrest – as he came to the end of a reiki massage in London's Chinatown.
"I was suffering from a migraine and happened to be passing a place for Chinese alternative medicine. They were advertising reiki massages and I thought 'Why not? It might help.'
"I had a massage of my head and shoulders to relieve the stress that had caused the migraine, and as the chap came to finish he seems to have dug his fingers into my forehead."

The blue-tinged bruise was still visible on Monday as he emerged from his weekend "sanctuary" in the village of Bolton-by-Bowland, near Clitheroe, Lancashire.
On Sunday the MP was sufficiently concerned by the bruise that a television reporter was asked to try to disguise it with makeup.

Evans owns a two-bedroom cottage beside a pub in Pendleton, near Clitheroe. But he and a group of friends spent the two nights after his arrest eight miles away at the secluded home of Vicky Entwistle, a former Coronation Street actor.
Entwistle, a long-time friend, who helped the MP make the decision three years ago to announce that he was gay, is currently performing in Les Miserables in London.

The so-called "truth movement" promotes Replacement Theology as well - they believe in the idea that somehow the Jews are evil and are running the Illuminati. Texe Marrs in particular promotes this.
Replacement Theology is evil, and was made up by the RCC.

REIKI  *   BE INFORMED!

Pronounced as ray-key - from the Japanase words Rei = spirit
and Ki = life force energy.

An occult, new age healing technique developed by Japanese Buddhist monk Mikao Usui Sensei, based on Sanskrit sutras believed to relate to cosmic symbols used by the Buddha for healing. Sometimes described as a form of Shinto/Buddhist Qigong.

Healing energy is said to be channeled into a patient's body by laying on of hands. However, generally, no contact is made with the body. Practitioners claim the healing energy can also be applied long-distance (e.g. on mailing lists, people are sometimes asked to "send Reiki" to someone).

Buddhist also use the practice to help transcend the ego, and to see "Reality."

Reiki is not a religion, but rather a religious practice. Popularized in the West as a New Age, alternative healing technique. Reiki practitioners say that Reiki is not taught, but rather "transferred" by a Reiki Master.

There is no evidence that Jesus used Reiki, as many Reiki books and teachers assert. Jesus, being God the Son, did not need a technique, but healed because His nature was the same as God's (which is what being the "Son of God" signifies), and God is the Healer and Giver of life [...].
- Source: Reiki: Healing with the force, Marcia Montenegro

The basic concept underlying reiki is that the body has an energy field that is central to its health and proper functioning, and this energy travels in certain pathways that can become blocked or weakened. This idea of energy flow in the body is also a central concept in Ayurvedic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture.

Reiki practitioners believe that everyone has the potential to access the universal life energy, but that over time most people’s systems become blocked and the energy becomes weakened in them. A reiki practitioner is trained to be able to detect these blockages, and practitioners will use their hands, thoughts, and own energy fields to improve the energy flow in a patient.

Practitioners claim that it works on very subtle energy levels, or possibly works on the chakra system. The chakras are the system of seven energy centers along the middle of the body believed to be connected with the nervous and endocrine systems, as defined by yoga and Ayurvedic medicine.

And it was ONLY in Israel where Jesus went around healing the sick, blind, lame, etc - why? B/c he wanted to show a SIGN to the Jews(who for the most part rejected him - but they're going to get their eyes open in the time of Jacob's trouble).

Matthew 8:5  And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Mat 8:6  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Mat 8:7  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Mat 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat 8:9  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Mat 10:2  Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Mat 10:3  Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
Mat 10:4  Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Mat 10:5  These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6  But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel
.

Mat 15:22  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23  But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 15:25  Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26  But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Mat 15:27  And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Mat 15:28  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

1Corinthians 1:22  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Acts 28:25  And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
Act 28:26  Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
Act 28:27  For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Act 28:28  Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
