Flotillas to Gaza are war on Israel

JULY, 2014 Turkey is trying this again.  Post Ramadan as Hamas started this jihad on Israel early July

Ship including Turkey Sailing to Gaza to Break Israeli Blockade

According to Israeli news sources, clear orders have been issued to prevent the ships from reaching Gaza, even if this necessitates military violence.

First Ship Sets Sail for Gaza
May 15, 2010
At 22:45 local time tonight, the MV Rachel Corrie, a 1200-ton cargo ship, part of the 8 vessel Freedom Flotilla, set sail from Ireland on its way to the Mediterranean Sea.
There, ships from Turkey and Greece will join her, then sail to Gaza.

This past week reports from Israel have indicated that the Israeli authorities will not allow the Freedom Flotilla to reach Gaza with its cargo.
According to Israeli news sources, clear orders have been issued to prevent the ships from reaching Gaza, even if this necessitates military violence.

Rachel Corrie was a fool who stood in front of a bulldozer to stop Israel from self defense. These fools always smuggle weapons hidden in 'supplies'

The Free Gaza Movement, which has launched 8 other sea missions to Gaza, confirms that Israel has tried these kinds of threats and intimidation tactics before in order to try to stop the missions before they start.
“They have not deterred us before and will not deter us now,” said one of the organizers.

Ship to Gaza – Sweden, a Freedom Flotilla coalition partner, together with parliamentarian Mehmet Kaplan (Green Party) yesterday asked for an audience with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Sweden, Carl Bildt, to discuss what measures the Swedish government and the European Union will take to protect the Freedom Flotilla’s peaceful, humanitarian voyage.
Earlier this week during a meeting with the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza – another coalition partner, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyib Erdogan expressed his support for
“breaking the oppressive siege on the Gaza Strip…which is at the top of Turkey’s list of priorities.“

Coalition partners, Ship to Gaza – Greece and the Turkish relief organization IHH, stressed that the ships, passengers, and cargo will be checked at each port of departure,
making it clear that we constitute no security threat to Israel.

Israel’s threats to attack unarmed civilians aboard vessels carrying reconstruction aid are outrageous and indicative of the cruel and violent nature of Israel’s policies towards Gaza.
The Freedom Flotilla is acting in line with universal principals of human rights and justice in defying a blockade identified as illegal by the UN and other humanitarian organizations.

Palestinians in Gaza have a right to the thousands of basic supplies that Israel bans from entering, including cement and schoolbooks, as well as a right to access the outside world.
The Freedom Flotilla coalition calls on all signatories to the Fourth Geneva Conventions to pressure Israel to adhere to its obligations under international humanitarian law,
to end the blockade on Gaza, and to refrain from attacking this peaceful convoy.

Turkish leader tells organizers he supports efforts to 'break oppressive siege on Gaza Strip'
May 11, 2010
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan told organizers of a sail to Gaza Tuesday that he would support them in their efforts to "break the oppressive siege on the Gaza Strip".

The independent Palestinian news agency PNN reported that during the Istanbul meeting with members of the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG) Erdogan said the breaking of the siege was "at the top of Turkey's list of priorities".

Israel to deport peace activists sailing to Gaza
After aid boat from Cyprus en route to Gaza Strip intercepted by Israeli Navy, 21 peace activist passengers will be deported in coming days
He said he would also support efforts to rebuild "what the Israeli war machine destroyed 15 months ago".

Israel's recent acceptance into the ranks of the OECD also came up. "We must force Israel to lift the siege on Gaza and respect human rights as a condition for its acceptance into any international organization," Erdogan said.

Arafat Madi, who heads the ECESG, told the Turkish leader, "Turkey's part in lifting the siege on Gaza is very important – with regard to the official international positions which are not effective."

Israel to Europe * Stop your citizens from sailing to Gaza

Israel to Europe: Stop your citizens from sailing to Gaza
May 18, 2010
Israel to deport Turkish volunteer arrested by Shin Bet for allegedly belonging to outlawed Islamist group organizing aid boat to Gaza.
Israel warned a number of European states that it would not permit leftist-organizations planning to sail to the Gaza Strip with international aid to complete their mission.

The director of European affairs for the Foreign Ministry, Naor Gilon, met separately with envoys from Turkey, Greece, Ireland and Sweden to convey the
message that any of their citizens intending to set sail for Gaza would be stopped before they could reach the coastal territory.

Describing such mission as provocative and in violation of Israeli law, Gilon told the diplomats: "Israel has not intention of allowing these sailboats in Gaza."

The Foreign Ministry message essentially entails that anybody who tries to sail to Gaza with aid, or who tries to transfer goods into the Hamas-ruled territory, must do so in accordance with procedure.
The diplomats promised to pass the message along to the appropriate sources, said the Foreign Ministry, with some even offering to help prevent their citizens from attempting the mission.

Earlier Monday, Israeli security forces released a Turkish national arrested this month for allegedly belonging to an outlawed Islamic group, and were set to deport him later in the day.

Izzet Shahin, a volunteer for the Turkish NGO Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH),
was arrested in the West Bank by the Israel Defense Forces and was then transferred to the Shin Bet for investigation.
IHH, who had been organizing a Gaza aid boat planned to depart at the end of the month, was outlawed in Israel a few years ago.

According to the IHH website, the organization had been organizing a "major initiative…to deliver aid via the sea to the Gaza Strip, which has been under an embargo for over three years."
"Hundreds of concerned people will set out on 10 ships in May to take over 5,000 tons of relief aid and materials to Gaza," the website statement said,

Freedom Flotilla headed for Gaza

This is JIHAD, a war against Israel by those who are EVIL
May 23, 2010
   Freedom Flotilla headed for Gaza
As an 8 ship 'Freedom Flotilla' began to make its way from various Mediterranean ports toward Gaza Sunday morning, a
UN agency said about three-quarters of the damage inflicted by Operation Cast Lead more than a year ago had not been repaired.

FAULT 100% PALESTINIANS WHO CONTINUALLY SHOOT AT, ATTACK ISRAEL

Israel continues to bar construction material from entering Hamas-ruled Gaza as part of an overall blockade of the territory.
The UN Development Program (UNDP) said in a report Sunday that Gazans have carried out small-scale repairs worth $173 million with recycled rubble or material smuggled through border tunnels.

Israel prepares for protest flotilla
IDF sends 14,000 tons of aid to Gaza

The report said the international community had been largely sidelined in the reconstruction effort. The UN can do little because it refrains from buying smuggled goods.

Israel says it bans construction material to prevent it from being used by Hamas for military purposes.
However, just last week, the IDF transferred over 14,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, including baby food, produce, wheat, meat, dairy products, hygiene products, clothing and shoes, in 637 trucks.

8 'Freedom Flotilla' vessels headed for Gaza
Meanwhile on Sunday, three ships left Istanbul TURKEY for the Gaza port in an attempt to break the Israeli naval blockade.
Al-Jazeera reported that 5 passenger ships, also part of the 'Freedom Flotilla,' were set to rendezvous with the three ships in international waters before sailing to Gaza.
The three ships are carrying 600 pro-Palestinian activists and 10,000 tons of supplies intended to aid the population of Gaza.

John Ging, the head of the United Nation's Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, voiced support for the flotilla, urging the world to "send ships to the shores of Gaza.
Israel would not stop these vessels because the sea is open.
Many human rights organizations have been successful in previous similar steps, and proved that breaking the siege on Gaza is possible," he continued.

Thwart the crusaders
Israel should counter ‘anti-siege’ ships with flotilla of inconvenient truths
If all goes the way sponsoring NGOs planned it, a nine-ship armada of activists will steam into a small Mediterranean seaport to break the “siege” of Gaza. Timed for the slow news cycles of the US Memorial Day weekend, organizers, led by “peace crusaders” from Turkey, Ireland, Sweden and North America will unload 10,000 tons of construction material, school and medical supplies.

Ankara threatens reprisals if Israel halts flotilla for Gaza

Ankara threatens reprisals if Israel halts flotilla for Gaza
May 24, 2010
The Turkish government sent a secret message to Jerusalem Monday, May 24, threatening reprisals if the Israeli Navy prevents the "Freedom Flotilla" of nine boats from reaching the
Gaza Strip on May 27 for the avowed objects of breaking Israel's blockade on the Hamas-ruled territory and delivering humanitarian aid.

The Turkish message was an ultimatum to Israel threatening retaliation against Israeli interests.
It is backed by the unreported presence of one or more helicopters on one or more of the Turkish vessels for challenging Israeli Air Force support for the naval blockade.

Three boats set sail from Turkey Sunday, May 23, to rendezvous en route with vessels from the UK, Greece, Algeria, Ireland, Sweden and Kuwait carrying
750 assorted pro-Palestinian activists and $20 m worth of cement, medical equipment and schools supplies.
The venture, on behalf of the Turkish-based Humanitarian Aid Foundation is sponsored personally by Prime Minister Recep Erdogen.
This foundation is quietly sponsored by Turkish intelligence and all its operations, including the Gaza flotilla, the most ambitious yet for breaking the Israeli blockade on Gaza -
drawn from the prime minister's office in Ankara.

Israel has imposed a 20-nautical mile closure on the Gaza coast and vowed to prevent the Turkish-led flotilla from entering port.
A fleet of private Israeli vessels is on its way from the Herzliya marina to protest its arrival.
They are flying banners protesting eight years of Gaza missile fire against Israel and photos of kidnapped soldier Sgt. Gilead Shalit, held for 4 years.

Erdogan has approved a plan of action whereby when Israeli warships and naval commandoes board the vessels to prevent them reaching Gaza,
the helicopter carrying the leading activists will take off, fly over their heads and land in Gaza.
The assumption is that the Israeli Air Force will not dare to intercept the helicopter and bring it down while still offshore for fear of an international outcry against a purported humanitarian mission.

Jerusalem has not yet replied to the Turkish ultimatum.
It is standing fast as yet - barring provocations or shooting from the convoy to gain media attention - by the decision to block the flotilla's entry to a Gazan port.
The vessels will be diverted to an Israeli port, if necessary by Israeli naval units boarding them, and the people aboard detained at a special camp thrown up to house them.

The cargo will be unloaded and, if it contains no materials usable for Hamas' military effort against Israel, trucked to the Gaza Strip and handed over.
Ankara is perfectly aware that Israel does not object to overland deliveries of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Its "Freedom Flotilla" is therefore aimed solely at breaking the blockade thrown up around the terrorist enclave by Israel and Egypt.

In Gaza the UN Relief and Works Agency protest the vandalization of one of its 435 holiday camps for a quarter of a million Palestinian teens and children.
In the past month, the Hamas regime has sanctioned five executions - three last Tuesday in front of their families - and dumped their bodies in the Shifa hospital.

Turkey rejects Israeli deal on Gaza sail

TURKEY IS OUT FOR WAR ON ISRAEL
Turkey rejects Israeli deal on Gaza sail
May 25, 2010
Israel offers to take humanitarian aid into Strip in exchange for calling off of 'Break the Siege' sail.
Israel tried to prevent naval conflict between its forces and peace activists sailing to Gaza by propositioning a number of states to transfer
humanitarian aid equipment through its territory instead, but Turkey objected.

Ten boats carrying food, clothing, and construction materials to residents of the Gaza Strip left Monday from a number of countries participating in the
'Break the Siege' sail. Some 700 activists on board intend to reach Gaza by Thursday.

Israel, in its efforts to prevent clashes between its soldiers and the activists, pressed some of the participating countries to cancel the sail.
The state propositioned Turkey to transfer its humanitarian aid equipment to Ashdod, from where it would be taken by the UN and international organizations into the Strip, under Israel's supervision.

In exchange for transferring the equipment to Gaza, Israel asked that Turkey call off the sail to the Strip, however the latter rejected the offer.
Major General Eitan Dangot, coordinator of government activities in the (Palestinian) territories, suggested the deal to the Turkish ambassador recently, who said Turkey was not responsible for the sail.

Meanwhile the Navy is preparing for the boats' arrival on Thursday, with many fearing clashes between soldiers and activists when the latter are not allowed through.
IDF Soldiers will be ordered to seize the boats and take them to Ashdod's shores,
where a special detention area has been set up for Palestinian and international activists taken into the army's custody.

Boats to Gaza are a provocation

Boats to Gaza are a provocation
May 26, 2010   [/b] Jihad ships carrying hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists making their way to Gaza to break Israeli blockade,
but army says mission unnecessary in light of 'stable humanitarian situation' in Strip

As 8 ships are making their way through the Mediterranean towards the Gaza Strip in the framework of a European aid mission, Colonel Moshe Levi, commander of the Gaza District Coordination Office,
told reporters Wednesday that there is no shortage of food or equipment in the Hamas-ruled territory.

"The sail is a provocative act that is unnecessary in light of the figures, which indicate that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is good and stable," he said,
adding that Israel allows the transfer of many products to the Strip, apart from those which may be used by Hamas for terror-related activities.

According to data provided by the security establishment, 100 trucks enter Gaza every day. Over the past few months, these trucks have delivered, among other things, over
1,200 tons of medicines and medical equipment, 155 tons of food, 2,900 tons of clothes and footwear and close to 17 million liters (about 3.85 million gallons) of diesel oil, the army said.

"We are not familiar with any shortages in any field, and we are permitting the entrance of different kinds of equipment into Gaza, as well as the exporting of produce from Gaza," Levi said.
"Of course, anything that may be used by Hamas to boost its military capabilities will not be allowed in."

The data also show that over the past year Israel has allowed 6,000 Palestinians to leave Gaza to receive medical treatment in Israel and Jordan.
In addition, Israel does not limit the amount of medicines and food that enter the Strip
.

A security official said that in some cases Israel allows the transfer of equipment that may potentially be used by Hamas so as not to obstruct the work of the UN or other international organizations.
According to the IDF, over the past year the unemployment rate in Gaza has dropped to 10-year low and currently stands at 38%, compared with 48% a few years ago.

The organizers of the aid mission said the ships are carrying hundreds of activists from all over the world.
"We're helping the Palestinians, just like the Greeks helped during World War II against the Nazis," a Greek activist aboard one of the ships told Ynet Tuesday.

The mission was organized by Turkish group IHH as well as other leftist European organizations.
The activists taking part in the sailing operation also expressed their fear that the IDF will prevent them from arriving at their destination.

IDF says will stop flotilla

IDF warned they will STOP flotilla
May 26, 2010
Military launches PR counterattack against humanitarian ship convoy; says will arrest passengers, transfer cargo to Strip
The IDF on Wednesday announced its plan of action vis-a-vis the "break the siege" flotilla making its way to the Gaza Strip.
The convoy, organized by activists from around the world, is slated to arrive to the Gaza shores during the upcoming weekend.

According to its plan, the IDF will alert the participating ships, within different ranges, and urge them to turn around.
If the vessels continue to advance – its passengers will be detained by the navy and returned to their countries in accordance with the Ministry of Interior.

The IDF also decided it will transfer the humanitarian supplies carried on the ships to the Gaza Strip, after they undergo a security check.
As part of the military preparation, the navy carried out an exercise intercepting ships and arresting passengers.
Navy Commander Major-General Eliezer Marom said the navy forces will use measures to protect the soldiers' lives and ensure that there were no terrorist elements or explosives on the ships.

Marom said he instructed the forces to act sensibly and avoid provocations, adding that the IDF had no intention of harming the hundreds of passengers on board these ships.

Prior to making the announcement, IDF launched a PR counterattack against the international flotilla. Head of Gaza's Coordination and Liaison Authority,
Colonel Moshe Levi convened a press conference and said that there was no shortage in food and supplies in the Strip.

"The planned flotilla to Gaza is a provocative act that is unnecessary under the existing conditions in the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian situation is good and stable," he said, adding that
Israel allows many products into the Strip, and only limits those that might serve the Hamas in advancing terror activities.

According to the security establishment's data, 100 trucks enter the Strip daily.  In recent months,
these trucks transported over 1,200 tons of medical supplies, 155 tons of food, 2,900 tons of clothing and footgear and about 17 million liters (about 4.5 million gallons) of diesel fuel.

The security establishment reiterated that it did not restrict the entrance of supplies into the Strip, noting that it only restricts materials that might be used by Hamas for terror activities.

"We do not know of a shortage in any department, and allow bringing in different equipment, as well as export out agricultural produce.
Of course whatever can serve the Hamas in strengthening its military is not allowed in," said col. Levi during a journalists' briefing at Erez crossing.

Navy prepares for arrival of flotilla

Israeli Navy prepares for arrival of flotilla
May 26, 2010
Drills include commandeering of ships, which could induce violence.
Fearing that provocateurs will be on board the flotilla of international aid ships heading to the Gaza Strip,
the Israel Navy has been training with crowd-dispersion techniques which it may need to use to commandeer the vessels.

The Navy has held a number of drills in recent weeks to prepare for the arrival of the flotilla which is expected to try and break the
Israel-imposed sea blockade on Gaza and dock in the newly-expanded port there.

The drills included the commandeering of the ships which could, military sources said Wednesday, include violent clashes depending on the response by the passengers on the vessels.

“We will do everything to ensure that the operation runs smoothly but are prepared for every possible scenario,” one defense official explained.
IDF announced that it was planning to stop the flotilla of 9 ships that are carrying hundreds of activists and thousands of tons of supplies.
The IDF said that it planned to intercept the ships as they approached the Gaza Strip and urge them to turn around.

IDF Shipment will be transferred to Gaza following inspection
“If they decide to continue sailing and do not listen to the instructions then they will be stopped, brought to Israel and treated by the Interior Ministry
which will return them to the countries they came from,” an IDF statement said.

According to the statement, the IDF will unload the supplies and transfer the shipment to the Gaza Strip after it underwent an inspection to ensure that it did not include weaponry.

Meanwhile Wednesday, the IDF continued its media blitz against the flotilla, organized by the Free Gaza organization, and
released data claiming that all of the supplies the ships were carrying were already transferred by Israel to Gaza via land crossings on a regular basis.

“This flotilla is a provocation that is not needed considering the humanitarian situation in Gaza which is stable and good,”
said Col. Moshe Levi, commander of the IDF’s Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration.
Levi said that 100 trucks, loaded with supplies, enter Gaza on a daily basis and that in the past two months over 1,200 tons of medical supplies were transferred to the ship.

Fly home at Israel's expense

Fly home at Israel's expense
May 27, 2010
Authorities to receive 800 participants of Gaza aid 'Freedom Flotilla' in Ashdod, offer them flight home or detention in Beersheba;
mission a provocation in the guise of a humanitarian act, army says

The Israeli navy on Thursday prepared for the expected encounter with the Gaza aid flotilla making its way to the Gaza Strip with some 800 people aboard.
IDF sources said they were concerned that terrorists may try to use the "Freedom Flotilla" to enter the Strip or smuggle in weapons.

In Ashdod Port, a large tent has been set up complete with air-conditioning, intended to receive flotilla participants.
After the navy leads the vessels to the port, the activists are expected to be taken into the tent where they will undergo a procedure similar to that undergone by sailors entering any port.

IDF to intercept Gaza-headed flotilla
May 27, 2010
Navy commandos will board the nine international aid ships sailing toward Gaza City if they don’t turn back, and the commandos will be armed in case terrorists are hiding aboard.
The ships are scheduled to try to break the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip. They are carrying around 750 activists, including diplomats and journalists, as well as about 10,000 tons of supplies.

Top IDF officers said the navy will not “take any chances” if and when it boards the ships, and will immediately
inspect them for explosives, including using bomb-sniffing dogs from the IDF’s Oketz K9 Unit.

The navy plans to board the ships if they refuse to turn around. The ships will receive a number of warnings from the navy as they begin to make their approach to the Gaza Strip, starting from a distance of about 65 kilometers. If the ships are commandeered, they will be sailed to the Ashdod Port, where the government has set up tents to hold the activists.

The activists will be taken into the tents for identification and medical attention, and asked to leave the country voluntarily. If they refuse, they will be arrested and transferred to the custody of the Prisons Service and the Interior Ministry.

Foreign Ministry officials will be present to handle the diplomats who are on board the ships, while representatives of the Government Press Office will be responsible for the journalists.

“We will not be stopped,” flotilla organizer Dror Feiler said.

Cyprus bans Gaza jihad boats
May 27, 2010
 YAY CYPRUS!!!
Israel hails 'ethical decision' to prohibit Gaza-bound activists from gathering at Cyprus shore.
Cyprus announced Thursday that it would not allow vessels participating in the flotilla to Gaza  to gather in its territorial waters, a move Israel called "an ethical deed and a voice of reason."

However, the prohibition's only effect will likely be to delay the ships' arrival.
Officials in Jerusalem say Israel held talks recently with Greece, Turkey, Ireland and other states in a bid to prevent the "Free Gaza" sail, expected to reach the Strip's shores Saturday.

Israel claims the flotilla offers endorsement for terrorists. So far, however, Cyprus is the only state that has agreed to ban it.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the foreign ministers of Greece, Ireland, and Cyprus Wednesday that the sail is "a political and press-related provocation, and not a humanitarian mission".
He explained that there is no humanitarian crisis in the Strip and that thousands of tons of various products are brought in every day.

However, organizers of the flotilla said Israel's offer to take the supplies into Gaza itself had been too late in coming.
Greta Berlin, one of the Free Gaza leaders, said all nine boats had already departed before the offer came in. She added that 700 activists were on board.

Berlin said the Israeli government "has a strange way" of treating the international protest. She said the organization wanted to
"break the siege on a million and a half residents of Gaza", and that international law and the Geneva Initiative was on their side.

This could turn out deadly! Pray for the safty of Israel and the Jewish people.
Pray for Jerry and Connie and their son Joel and his team and all of the IDF, IAF and INF! May GOD bless you all and keep you all safe and well always!

Live footage from Free Gaza ship
May 28, 2010
Activists making their way to Gaza post live footage from one of their ships, later replace it with propaganda video. IDF vows to block access to video as ships near Strip
As the Free Gaza ships made their way to the shores of the Strip Friday morning, the organizers broadcasted live footage from one of the ships.

Moments after the footage was published, the number of viewers tripled, and the organizers replaced the live feed with propaganda films displaying images from Gaza during Operation Cast Lead. Minutes later, the broadcast from the ship was renewed.

The Israel Defense Forces said they would block access to the live footage as the ships near the shores of Gaza, meaning a takeover of the ships will be done secretly.

Before the live feed was replaced with the propaganda, a camera was planted on one of the ships broadcasting activity on it. Flags of Algeria, Turkey, Sweden, Ireland and the Palestinian Authority could be seen in the background.

Turkish could occasionally be heard being spoken, and several of the activists could be seen looking to the waters of the Mediterranean and taking pictures.
A calm atmosphere was seen in the footage, with mattresses on the deck and occasional announcements to the passengers in Turkish.

On Thursday, the Israeli navy prepared for the expected encounter with the aid flotilla making its way to Gaza.

Israel Prepares to Detain, Deport Activists

Israel Prepares to Detain, Deport Activists

Israel is preparing to detain and deport hundreds of foreign activists who are making their way to Gaza by boat in a challenge to Israel's closure of the area. The IDF has set up tents for temporary shelter and plans to divert the boats to the Ashdod port, where buses will wait to take the activists to the airport for deportation.

Israeli officials said Thursday that they hope to avoid the use of force, but are prepared to bring the activists to jail if necessary.

While Gaza Arabs are free to sail the water off Gaza's coast, the Israeli navy holds control between Gaza and international waters. Supported by legal precedents of permitted actions against a hostile government, it has prohibited ships from entering Gaza or leaving as part of the closure imposed following the Hamas takeover of the area, in order to prevent arms shipments. Food and other humanitarian supplies are allowed into Gaza via the Negev.

The activists sailing to Gaza hail from several countries. The boats set sail from Turkey, Greece, Ireland, Cyprus, and Sweden, and the Turkish government has provided support for the mission. Israel has summoned the ambassadors of those countries to explain the Israeli position on the Gaza-bound flotilla.

While the flotilla organizers present themselves as human rights advocates whose sole goal is to assist the people of Gaza, a report by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reveals the groups cooperation with radical human rights violators. Senior Islamic extremists, among them  Mahmad Tzoalha and Sahar Albirawi, both top Hamas terrorists who today operate in Great Britain, and Hamam Said, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, attended the launching ceremony in Istanbul of a boat participating in the flotilla.

Bolant Yilderim, the chairman of the IHH, a Turkish based pro-Palestinian organization that is spearheading the Gaza flotilla, spoke at the send off rally, saying: “Israel behaves like Hitler did towards the Jews. Hitler built concentration camps in Germany, and today the Zionist entity is building concentration camps in Palestine.”

The rally was also attended by Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel,,
who admitted in an Israeli Court to conferring with foreign agents. His anti-Semitic speeches are based on blood libels: “We are not the ones who eat a meal based on bread and cheese in children’s blood,” he once said. He called the Jews  “butchers of pregnant women and babies… Thieves, you are the bacteria of all times… The Creator meant for you to be monkeys and losers… Victory is with the Muslims, from the Nile to the Euphrates.”

Activists say they are bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, government spokesman Mark Regev said the flotilla is actually “a cheap political stunt.” If the activists were truly interested in the welfare of Gaza Arabs, they would have transferred aid via the land crossings, “along with the other 15 thousand tons sent every week,” he said.

Whatever aid is on the boats heading for Gaza will be unloaded in Ashdod and shipped to Gaza by truck along with the other aid sent through Israel, officials said.

Among the Gaza-Bound: Israeli MK
One of the passengers on the flotilla is Hanin Zoabi, an Israeli MK who belongs to the National Democratic Assembly (Balad). MK Zoabi's participation in the event, and her public support for the activists' goals, raised anger among her fellow MKs.

MK Danny Danon (Likud) called on the police to arrest Zoabi when she enters Israel. He also turned to the Knesset's house committee with a request to revoke Zoabi's diplomatic passport. MK Miri Regev (Likud) called to punish Zoabi as well, saying her actions reflected disloyalty to Israel.

Gaza aid sail postponed till Saturday
Flotilla organizers decide to delay sail towards Strip due to technical problem in one of vessels. Greta Berlin of Free Gaza Movement says boats to leave meeting point on Saturday morning in order to avoid Navy raid at night. IDF officials express doubts over report, say prepared for ships' arrival at any time

The flotilla heading to Gaza with humanitarian aid has postponed its departure towards the Strip till Saturday, its organizers said Friday evening.
Some of the ships taking part in the sail have already arrived at the meeting point in the Mediterranean Sea, while others are still making their way to the area.

Israel Defense Forces officials expressed their doubts over the report, clarifying that the Navy would be prepared to greet the ships as early as Friday night.
Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza Movement told Ynet that the delay was caused due to a technical problem in one of the smaller ships taking part in the sail.

Israeli gunships head to sea to block flotilla

Israeli gunships head to sea to block flotilla

May 28, 2010  evening

Stage could be set for high seas showdown with pro-Palestinian terrorists.

HAIFA, Israel - Israeli gunships headed out to sea on Friday to stop a flotilla of pro-Palestinian activists from reaching the Gaza Strip, the military said, setting the stage for what could become a dramatic showdown on the high seas.

Israel's foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman, said the country was prepared to stop the flotilla "at any cost." He called the aid mission a provocation and urged the international community to show understanding for the tough response.

"We really have all determination and political will to prevent this provocation against us," he said. "I think that we're ready at any cost ... to prevent this provocation."

Israeli military officials have said they will intercept the ships, escort the vessels to shore and give the activists the choice of deportation or going to jail.

The officials say they hope the situation will be resolved peacefully, but they are prepared to use force if necessary. Masked naval commandos have been trained for the mission, and Israel has built a large makeshift detention center in a southern port to process the activists.

The activists, among them a Nobel peace laureate, are trying to draw attention to a 3-year-old Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip — imposed after Hamas militants violently seized control of the territory. They say they are carrying tons of desperately needed humanitarian aid.

Greta Berlin, one of the organizers of the effort, said a total of seven ships were headed to Gaza, after an eighth vessel suffered a malfunction and had to turn back.

The organizers' website said the flotilla remained off the southern coast of Cyprus, some 250 miles northwest of Gaza, Friday evening. Berlin said the flotilla would halt under darkness, and resume the journey early Saturday. They were expected to reach Israeli waters possibly later Saturday, she said.

Israel defends blockade

The ships originally embarked from Turkey, Greece and other European ports.
Israel says the blockade is needed to prevent Hamas, which has fired thousands of rockets into Israel, from rearming.

It rejects claims that a humanitarian crisis is brewing in Gaza, saying it allows more than enough food and medicine into the strip. Critics, however, say the blockade has crushed Gaza's economy, eliminated some 100,000 jobs and prevented the territory from repairing the destruction caused by an Israeli military offensive early last year.

Israel has reached out to its Mediterranean neighbors to stop the flotilla from approaching. Turkey, whose president has harshly condemned Israel's Gaza offensive, has rejected the gesture. A Turkish charity is spearheading the aid mission, and Turkish authorities have declined to intervene.

But on Friday, Cyprus said was banning any ship from sailing to Gaza from its shores because organizers of a flotilla trying to break a blockade of the Palestinian territory ignored a government appeal not to involve the island.

Acting government spokesman Titos Christofides condemned the Israeli blockade and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, but said the appeal was made to protect the island's "vital interests."

This is the ninth time that the Free Gaza Movement, the pro-Palestinian organization behind the effort, has sent a flotilla of supplies to Gaza. Israel permitted five deliveries to reach Gaza, but has not allowed any ships through since its military offensive, which ended in January 2009.

Among the passengers are Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire, former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney, a Holocaust survivor in her 80s, a retired U.S. army colonel and lawmakers from a dozen European countries.

Boats off Cyprus - waiting

Boats off Cyprus - waiting
May 29, 2010
Navy ships to be placed off Gazan shore to intercept flotilla, which was further delayed by Cyprus's refusal to transfer politicians from its territory to boats.
An aid flotilla bound for Gaza was poised to set sail on Saturday, after a delay caused by technical snags and fears Israel might seize one of the ships, while Hamas's prime minister praised the venture as "a historical victory".

Haniyeh added that if Israel stopped the boats from docking it would only encourage others to come, and called on the international community to protect the flotilla from Israel.
Foreign minister says 'there is no humanitarian crisis in Strip,' calls fleet of aid ship en route to Gaza 'an attempt at violent propaganda against Israel.' We will not allow violation of our sovereignty, he adds

Hundreds of activists waiting in international waters off Cyprus were bracing for the final leg of their attempt to "break the siege" on the Strip,
but organizers were having difficulty haggling with the Cypriot authorities for the transfer to the flotilla of a group of 25 multi-national parliamentarians waiting on the island.

Haniyeh, on board one of the Gazan boats set to welcome the flotilla, gave a speech Saturday saying the siege on Gaza was in its final hours.
"The arrival of the flotilla in the Strip will be a victory for the Palestinian people, and even if the flotilla is thwarted by the piracy of Israel it will be considered a victory," he said.
The flotilla proved Turkey was "ending its alliance with the Israeli project".

However the IDF believes the boats will arrive in Israel's territorial waters Saturday night, and has announced it will place Navy ships off of Gaza's shores in the evening in order to intercept them.

"Once the flotilla reaches a set point in Israel's territorial waters Navy ships will go out to meet it," an army statement said. Earlier this week the military announced that the boats would not be allowed to dock in Gaza.

'Israel threatened to capture ship'
That is not a 'threat' dummies, its a WARNING!

Thomas Sommer-Houdeville, a French pro-Palestinian activist on board one of the vessels, said the activists had sailed to the limits of Cypriot waters to try and negotiate with authorities.

The Cyprus authorities "last night (Friday) detained the captains of boats that were trying to take the MPs on board," he told AFP by telephone, adding that the mariners were released shortly afterwards.

Organizers have accused the Cyprus government of reneging on an earlier agreement to let the flotilla sail from Cyprus waters, alleging Israeli pressure which Nicosia has denied. The flotilla had originally been due to sail on Friday.
"We won't begin leaving until Saturday but the boats are still going," Audrey Bomse of the Free Gaza Movement told AFP on Friday.

"We've changed the coordinates twice because reportedly Israel has threatened to capture the Turkish ship so we decided to delay getting all the boats together," she added.
"This has delayed everything by a day because changing coordinates takes time... There were also technical difficulties with one of the boats so we had to move passengers from it on to the Turkish one," Bomse said.

Two cargo ships and five smaller boats loaded with thousands of tons of supplies and hundreds of passengers are preparing for the final leg of their journey, and organizers said an eighth ship, the Rachel Corrie en route from Ireland, was lagging behind and would travel towards Gaza separately.

Meanwhile Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon called the flotilla "a provocation and a gross violation of marine laws".
Speaking at a cultural event in Beersheba he added, "We will not allow this flotilla to pass. It is a blow to Israel's security… There is a problem with public relations, but we are prepared and explaining the situation in Gaza. There is no humanitarian crisis. At the Foreign Ministry we are making use of Youtube and Facebook to explain the situation. This is an Islamist and Hamasist event."

Earlier French Foreign Ministry spokesman Bernard Valero said his country is "still concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and calls for a complete implementation of Security Council Resolution 1860."
Pro-Palestinian activists identified with the flotilla by carrying Palestinian flags on a boat in the Seine River.

Residents of Gaza are expecting 750 people from more than 40 different states to bring them 10,000 tons of food, medical supplies, and construction equipment. Recent preparations include decorating the Strip's port with flags, especially Turkish and Algerian.

But sources in the Strip say the flotilla has already achieved its aim by drumming up international press coverage. Some hint that a staunch Israeli response would be preferable, because it would provide even better advertisement for the residents of Gaza.

Gaza boats moving very slowly

Aid flotilla moving at snail's pace as determined activists plan on arriving at Gaza's shores Sunday. Navy gearing to halt ships
The Israel Navy is gearing to meet the small group of ships sailing towards Gaza, but the flotilla is sailing at a snail's pace.
After overcoming numerous technical difficulties, the activists leading the humanitarian aid sail are set to arrive in Gaza on Sunday.

Peace activist Gerda Berlin told Ynet Saturday that the ships "intend to make their way to Gaza overnight. I think we'll arrive at the Gaza coast sometime tomorrow noon or in the afternoon.

"It's hard to know exactly when, since we are moving in a very slow pace."

Berlin added that the hundreds of people participating in the eight-vessel sail were "being very good sports about all the delays.
We're waiting for the last ship to arrive and they're in a good mood – considering this isn’t exactly a pleasure cruise."

The activist added she hoped the Israeli Navy won't confront the sail. "We hope it won't come to that," she said. "You have to think hard about trying to stop ships carrying journalists, parliamentarians and activists.

"We have an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor on one of our ships. A lot of the activists are over the age of 60. This wouldn’t be a fair fight."

Should the navy stop the small fleet from reaching the Strip, Berlin said their provisions can last several weeks, and they may choose to stay near Gaza as an act of solidarity. Still, she said,
"(Israel) has no reason to stop us."

Military sources estimated that the ships will arrive at Gaza's shores late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and the Navy intends on sending ships to intercept the flotilla overnight.

"Once the ships enter Israel's waters, the Navy's ships would set sail to meet them," a military source said.

Delayed again

Delayed again - answer to prayers?
May 29-30, 2010     MIDNIGHT in ISRAEL

Interesting, one of the terrorist boats is named - CHALLENGER

Countdown to sail has begun
Flotilla delayed again, but activists remain determined to arrive in Gaza by noon Monday
The international "blockade-breaking" aid flotilla aimed to set sail from Cyprus to Gaza Strip has been postponed again, and will apparently arrive at Gaza's shores on Monday morning, organizers said.
The small fleet of eight vessels, carrying supplies and pro-Palestinian activists, were originally scheduled to arrive in Gaza on Saturday, but has repeatedly postponed its departure.

Sources told Ynet that the activists have decided not allow the Israeli Navy to board the ships, "But we will refrain from violence."
"Israel does not have the authority to board the ships, it would be a stupid move on its part," one of the activists added.

Head of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Raed Salah is also aboard one of the vessels. Commenting on the possibility that Israel will stop the flotilla, Salah said that "as long as there is an Israeli threat, our morale increases. The more Israel exploits us – the more determined we are."

Israel is monitoring the position of the vessels closely. The sail has been postponed several times after two of the ships suffered technical malfunctions – which some tried to blame on Israel.
An Israeli source dismissed the allegations at "utter nonsense meant to disguise the poor organization of the sale."
Meanwhile, Ashdod Port officials have concluded the preparations for processing the hundreds of people taking part in the sail.

Those who will abide by the restraining order issued by Israel would board a flight back to their country. Those who refuse, may find themselves detained in a Beersheba prison.
The IDF is concerned that terrorists may try to use the sail to infiltrate Gaza Strip and smuggle in arms.

Navy awaits aid flotilla, which set sail at 9:20 am after numerous delays. Organizers say satellite phones stopped working at 2 am due to outside interference, vow to passively resist soldiers who attempt to board boats

Organizers of an aid flotilla to Gaza announced Sunday morning that all participating boats had left for the final leg of their journey.

A all satellite phones on board had stopped working around 2 am, and said it was an external block placed on the lines.

The IDF had earlier announced it planned to disrupt the boats' communications as part of Israel's efforts to prevent the activists on board from speaking to the press.

She said all of the boats had set sail by 9:20 am, but that she did not know how long it would take to reach Gaza's shores.
"The ships are pretty slow, they sail at a speed of around 20 nautical miles an hour," she said. On land, that is the equivalent of 37 kph.

The sailing already has been delayed several times. On Sunday morning live feed from one of the boats was renewed after having been off the air for a few hours.

Meanwhile the Navy is preparing to intercept the boats. One of the organizers, Dror Feiler, told Army Radio Sunday that the
hundreds of pro-Palestinian terrorsts aboard the ships will passively resist if Israeli seamen board the vessels.

The organizers have claimed that unknown persons damaged two of the boats.  PRAISE GOD!!
One of them was forced to withdraw from the flotilla and the other docked at Cyprus's Turkish shore for repairs, causing further delay.

They said the boats had undergone extensive mechanical tests before setting off, and that they had no problems.

Confusion over Gaza flotilla

Confusion over Gaza flotilla
30 May 2010
The blockade by Israel and Egypt is SELF DEFENSE!
Hundreds of human rights activists (TERRORISTS) aboard a flotilla of ships trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza (trying to start a war) say they hope to arrive later on Sunday.

But Israel's navy remains adamant that this will not be allowed to happen.
There is also confusion about whether the ships are actually moving.  ( The terrorists FEAR ISRAEL! )

The Palestinian territory has been under an Israeli and Egyptian economic blockade for almost three years, with only limited humanitarian aid allowed in.

The blockade was imposed after the Islamist movement Hamas - which over the past decade has fired thousands of rockets into Israel - took power in Gaza.

For days human rights activists aboard the flotilla of ships have been saying they are due in Gaza soon. They are already three days late.
Their press officers say they are on route and will arrive later on Sunday.
But live video being streamed from the ships shows they are not moving and are moored somewhere off the coast of Cyprus.

If and when they do get moving, Israel says the ships will not be allowed to reach Gaza.
Its navy still controls Gaza's territorial waters and says it is prepared to use limited force to stop the flotilla.
It says the ships will be towed to the nearby Israeli city of Ashdod from where those on board will be deported.
There is much political spin being put on the story by both sides.

Israeli government press officers have been briefing journalists that the aid flotilla is not necessary. Israel says it allows 15,000 tons of aid into Gaza every week.
But the United Nations, which calls the blockade a "medieval siege", says this is only a fraction of what is needed and less than a quarter of what was coming into Gaza before the blockade was enforced.

May 30, 2010     Sunday evening in Israel
Organizers say ships carrying humanitarian aid, pro-Palestinian activists have finally set sail for Hamas-ruled territory, but Israel says vessels advanced for short while and stopped. Palestinian MP urges international community to 'protect these boats from Israeli threat'

The organizers of a flotilla of ships carrying activists and aid for the blockaded Gaza Strip said it finally steamed south from Cyprus Sunday afternoon, heading for a fleet of Israeli naval vessels determined to stop them.
However, the IDF said the ships advanced for a short while and then stopped. Israel suspects the organizers are trying to deceive the Navy in order to reach Gaza's shores without being stopped.
The ships, carrying more than 700 passengers, are on the last leg of a high-profile mission to deliver tons of aid to Gaza, which has been under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007.

"We have just left in the last few minutes," Huwaida Arraf, chairman of the Free Gaza Movement, told AFP by phone from the boat Challenger 1 at around 4 pm.
"Israel is blocking an area about 20 nautical miles out from the Gaza coast and we expect to hit that area in the late morning or early afternoon" on Monday, she said.

In the Gaza Strip, anti-siege activists called on the international community to ensure the protection of the so-called "Freedom Flotilla" which had been aiming to arrive on Saturday.

"I am asking the international community to protect these boats from the Israeli threat," independent Palestinian MP Jamal al-Khudari said during a press conference on a boat anchored just outside the Gaza port.
"If Israel blocks them, they have a strategy for getting here," said Khudari, who heads the Gaza-based Committee to Lift the Siege. He did not give any further details.

With the flotilla expected to approach at some stage over the next 24 hours, Gaza fishermen took to the sea flying Palestinian flags as well as those of Greece, Ireland, Sweden and Turkey -- all of which sent boats.

Israel has slammed as "illegal" the convoy's attempt to break its blockade on Gaza, and has naval forces at the ready to intercept the ships and detain the pro-Palestinian activists on board.

As tensions mounted, several Israeli warships could be seen off the Gaza coast.

Ships will travel "in two stages," he said: "First they will stop in international waters at 30 nautical miles (from Gaza), and tomorrow (Monday) they will reach the shore."
This is a provocation intended to delegitimize Israel

The flotilla said they had not expected to be intercepted by the Israeli navy so early, while still in international waters, and they were taken by surprise when hailed by the navy.

Israeli Navy ships set sail earlier Sunday night for what was expected to be a dramatic showdown out at sea as they try to prevent a flotilla of international aid ships from breaking the blockade on the Gaza Strip.

Pro-Palestinian terrorists on Gaza sail had weapons

Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon holds press briefing several hours after IDF takes over flotilla headed to Strip, accuses fleet's organizers of having ties to Hamas, al-Qaeda

Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon said Monday morning that the pro-Palestinian activists on the flotilla sailing to the Gaza Strip had weapons on board.
About 15 people were killed in the raid and some 50 were injured. They were on a suicide mission!

6 IDF soldiers were also hurt.

In a first official Israeli response to the deadly Israel Defense Forces takeover of the ships, Ayalon accused the sail's organizers of having ties to the Hamas and al-Qaeda terror organizations.

On the deck we found weapons which were used against the forces. The organizers' intent was violent and the results were unfortunate.

"Israel regrets the loss of life. We called the organizers once and again the stop the provocations. We asked to transfer the aid in legitimate means. We promise that the aid will be transferred through the Red Cross and through our people."

The deputy foreign minister added, "After the repeated calls, which were unanswered by the people on the boats, they were told that they would not be able to break the blockade.
The organizers failed to obey the army's non-violent calls.

"No sovereign state would tolerate such violence against a law-abiding state and its people. We call on all relevant elements to work together to solve the situation."

As for the Israeli activities after the raid, Ayalon said, "We are managing the crisis. At the moment the instruction is to cooperate and create the bridges and platforms in order to bring the affair to an end.

"The operational needs dictate a certain operation from a certain distance, and these are the considerations overcoming any other consideration.
There was a very close cooperation between Hamas and an external organization. There was economic and operative cooperation."

Guns were found on board the ships and were used by the activists to fire at the soldiers.  GAZA DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE GUNS!

Addressing the relations between Israel and Turkey, Ayalon said, "I don't view this as a matter between us and Turkey. (He's wrong, IT IS!)
The organizers are a private body affiliated with the terror organizations and Hamas.
Israel has no interest in a conflict with any country, and we will never initiate a conflict with any country. We call on everyone to come to their senses in order to calm the situation down."

Terrorist passengers on the Gaza-bound flotilla lay in wait for the IDF to board their vessel and then attacked IDF soldiers, opening fire on them.

One IDF soldier was critically wounded. A crew member reportedly snatched a gun from an IDF soldier and then opened fire on the troops.

Another soldier was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object.
The soldier is in moderate condition and was transferred for medical treatment by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Doctors there determined he would require surgery.
At least 14 soldiers were wounded and were transferred to  hospitals.
Raad Salah, anti-Semitic head of northern branch of Israeli Islamic Movement, is reported to be severely injured.

The IDF spokesperson said that the crew of the flotilla were not peaceful humanitarians, but rather militants who were preparing for provocation and violence, and were planning to stage a "lynch" of the Israeli soldiers.

Israel offers to take boatload of aid to Gaza

Israel offers to take boatload of aid to Gaza, terrorists prefer war
May 31, 2010
Israeli soldiers were shot at, then attacked with knives and clubs.
IDF soldiers were met by well-planned lynch (murder), concealed handguns, knives, bats, metal pipes in Gaza flotilla raid; 15 Navy commandos wounded.

International activists aboard the flotilla of ships on their way to the Gaza Strip opened fire on IDF soldiers who boarded the ships to prevent them from breaking the Israeli-imposed sea blockade, the IDF said Monday.

According to the IDF, the international activists “prepared a lynch” (murder) for the soldiers who boarded the ships at
about 2:00 a.m. Monday morning after calling on them to stop, or follow them to the Ashdod Port several hours earlier.

Israel needs to harness media.
According to IDF reports, at least 10 activists were killed during the ensuing clashes.
15 Israeli Navy commandos were also wounded, some of them from gunfire and at least one was in a serious condition with a head wound.
Foreign reports claimed that the number of dead was close to 15. Some of the wounded were evacuated to Israeli hospital by Air Force helicopters.

Turkey, Sweden and Greece summonsed their Israeli ambassadors for discussions on the violence. What a joke!  They all backed the terrorists all along!!

Upon boarding the ships, the soldiers encountered fierce resistance from the passengers who were armed with knives, bats and metal pipes.
The IDF soldiers used non-lethal measures to disperse the crowd. The activists succeeded in stealing 2 handguns from soldiers and opened fire, leading to an escalation in violence.

Al Jazeera on Monday broadcasted footage from the Gaza flotilla's lead vessel, the Mavi Marmara, showing Israeli Navy commandos boarding the ship.
Helicopters could also be seen flying overhead.

An IDF officer said
"It was like a well-planned lynch (murder). These people were anything but peace activists.”
IDF: Ships will be taken to Ashdod Port

The IDF said that the ships would be taken to the Ashdod Port where, despite the violence, the cargo that are carrying will be inspected and then transferred to the Gaza Strip via land crossings.
Israeli Navy commander Vice-Admiral Eliezer Marom was commanding over the operation from sea.

WAR AT SEA

The Navy made initial contact with the flotilla at 11 p.m. on Sunday ordering the ships to follow them to Ashdod Port or otherwise be boarded.
The actual boarding of the ships took place at 2 a.m. Monday and was yet to be completed by 8 a.m.

Activists aboard the ships repeatedly said they would not respond with violence to the navy's interception of their flotilla prior to the boarding.

POOR PLANNING by ISRAEL!

I cant believe Israel was this stupid!  I think of them as the finest military on earth
I have seen for a week these were terrorists intent on starting a war!  WHY didnt Israel?
I edited this report because I couldnt tell without close examination who was Israel.

Israeli Navy commandoes fell right into the hands of the terrorists.
20 people were waiting on the deck or the Marmara where a helicopter was to deploy the first team of the elite Flotilla 13 unit.
The original plan was to disembark on the top deck, and from there rush to the vessel’s bridge and order the Marmara’s captain to stop.

Israel estimated that 'passengers' would show slight resistance.  DUH!!!
So Israel decided to bring the helicopter directly above the top deck.
The first rope that soldiers used in order to descend down to the ship was wrested away by activists, most of them Turks,
and tied to an antenna with the hopes of bringing the chopper down. However, Israeli Flotilla 13 fighters decided to carry on.

Israeli Navy commandoes slid down to the vessel one by one, then the unexpected occurred.
The passengers that awaited them on the deck pulled out bats, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles, assaulting each soldier as he disembarked.
The fighters were nabbed one by one and were beaten up badly, yet they attempted to fight back.

However, to their misfortune, the Israelis were only equipped with paintball rifles used to disperse minor protests.
DOUBLE  DUH!!!

The Israeli Navy commandoes were only prepared to encounter political activists, not trained street fighters.
TRIPLE  DUH!!!

Israel forces hurled stun grenades, yet the rioters on the top deck kept on beating up about 30 Israeli commandoes.

Only after this injury did Israeli Flotilla 13 troops ask for permission to use live fire.

The activists were well prepared for a fight.  This is a HUGE IDIOTIC POOR PLANNING on the part of Israel.

If the world BLAMED the ATTACKERS - the ships - instead of blaming the defender - Israel - the world might prevent the war.

The TERRORIST ATTACK SHIPS BOUND FOR GAZA FIRED FIRST!

It appears world war 3 looms - and the USA will be very involved - AT HOME.  This will not be confined to overseas.

And as you could have expected, the world wrongly blames Israel.
Israel is entitled to DEFEND her land and people from war.
That is what she did.

For SELF DEFENSE she is condemned by the world.
Those attacking her are not blamed.
ISRAEL DID NOT use 'excessive violence' - the terror ships did.

The media are already calling these 'aid' boats.
They were NOT aid boats at all.

Now the politics in Israel begins.  The left-leaning Livni blames Bibi Netanyahu for 'mis-handling' this attack.  I think he did great!

Somehow I smell Obama's evil hand here.  He wants to depose Bibi.
I heard Bibi is coming to USA but have heard no date.

ISRAEL SET for ALL OUT WAR

ISRAEL SET for ALL OUT WAR
Israel braces for Turkish, Hizballah, Hamas reprisals
Greece halts joint drill
May 31, 2010
Israeli concerns that Turkey may not confine itself to strong diplomatic retaliation for the Israel Navy's seizure Monday, May 31, of the
Marmora, the Turkish vessel leading the flotilla for breaking the Gaza blockade and resort to military action along with the Iranian-backed Hizballah and Hamas.
A statement from Ankara threatened "unprecedented and incalculable" reprisals, following which the Turkish chief of staff Gen. Ilker Basbug was recalled urgently to Ankara from a visit to Egypt.
Greece has since halted its joint exercise with Israel in protest against the naval action.

TURKEY is VERY EAGER for WAR!
TURKEY is planning to continue pounding the Israeli blockade with more flotillas and have them escorted by Turkish warships and fighter jets.
Israel merchant vessels moored outside Ashdod port have been instructed to sail into port and take shelter in case of missile attacks from the Gaza Strip against Ashdod and Ashkelon.

Monday morning, Israeli warplanes headed west over the Mediterranean in support of the still ongoing Israeli commando operation aboard the Turkish Marmora,
the scene of violent clashes between Israeli troops and the 600 "peace activists," some of them armed. Ankara later reported 15 dead aboard the vessel.

Israeli army spokesman, Col. Avi Beneyahu, called the incident "an act of terror on the high seas."
Far from being a humanitarian mission, the flotilla was sponsored personally by Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza and permit arms supplies and terrorist to reach the Strip unrestricted.
It aimed at provoking a widely publicized international incident with fatalities and showing Israel using strong-arm tactics against unarmed peace-lovers.

Its leaders and the nations involved therefore refused to heed warnings that the vessels would be prevented from entering Gaza Port and
rejected Israeli offers to ferry their aid cargo overland to the Gaza Strip. Population within missile range of Gaza advised to take shelter in secured areas.

An estimated 14 activists were killed battling with Israeli troops, and dozens injured. Ten Israeli soldiers were wounded. They were all ferried to Israeli hospitals by helicopter.

The pro-Hamas passengers were described as mobbing the Israeli commandos as they were dropped onto the Marmara's deck,
using knives and iron bars to beat them and shooting with a sidearm snatched from a soldier and at least two other pistols recovered empty from two of the bodies.

Israeli security forces are preparing for the Lebanese Hizballah and Palestinian Hamas to go back to shooting missiles and rockets against Israeli towns, in support of the seaborne attack on Israeli commandos.
The police are also on special alert in and around Israeli Arab communities, after Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyah called them out on a general strike, and the Holy Places, especially in Jerusalem.

Egypt will face pressure to end its joint embargo on Gaza with Israel at the Arab League Council meeting urgently Tuesday, June 1.  Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas demanded the session.
Demonstrations against Israel were staged in Syrian and Lebanese towns. Jordan hands stiff complaint to head of Israeli diplomatic mission in Amman.

Why was Israeli raider force unprepared

Why was Israeli raider force unprepared for violent resistance?

THATs MY QUESTION TOO!!!

May 31, 2010, 7:40 pm   DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis

Turkish activists were fully prepared, Israel troops not

More questions than answers came from the IDF video shots of the violent reception for Israeli naval commandos when they raided the Turkish ship early Monday, May 31
to prevent the pro-Palestinian flotilla from reaching Gaza Port and breaking the Israeli blockade on the Hamas-ruled territory.

Prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, who cancelled his trip to the United States and is flying straight home from Canada, will have to fill in the gaps left by his official spokesmen.

Released finally 12 hours after the event, the IDF shots failed to explain the big mystery of how soldiers armed with paint balls and pistols managed to kill more than 10 pro-Palestinian activists
(The final figure is still not clear. Ankara reports 15 Turkish dead) and injure at least 34 aboard the Turkish Marmora.

Together with six injured soldiers - two in critical condition - the wounded activists are being treated in Israeli hospitals.

Israel's chief of staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi, and Navy commander, Maj. Gen. Eliezer Marom, reported that a fierce clash developed aboard the ship as the soldiers dropped on deck from helicopters and were mobbed by passengers.
The activists fired pistols, but it is not clear if the guns were in the peace activists' luggage or snatched from the soldiers.
Neither is it clear how civilian protesters were able to disarm elite fighters of the Navy's Shayetet 6 unit.

The soldiers performed their mission of preventing the flotilla from docking in Gaza Port and opening the door to large-scale weapons deliveries - but at what cost?

Surely the operation's planners must have taken into account that the 600 mixed nationals aboard the Turkish vessel, the hard core of international Palestinian agitprop against Israel,
would not receive the soldiers with flowers and white flags, any more than the demonstrators at Iblin and Naalin hand out to the Israeli Border Police breaking up their riots week after week.

The Border Police was bettered qualified to handle themselves against the arsenal the activists aboard the Turkish vessel used against the navy men, of firebombs, stun grenades, broken glass, slingshot, iron bars, axes and knives - and with far less risk of loss of life.

Also underestimated was the number of troops needed to commandeer the Turkish ship, control the wheelhouse and turn it round to Ashdod port.
Each commando who shinnied down the ladder from a helicopter was besieged and separated from the unit, then beaten, stabbed and assaulted with flying objects.
Some were pushed down into the hold and stripped of their anti-flak vests first. The soldiers reported they barely escaped lynching or possibly being taken hostage.

Any Israeli police officer dealing with Palestinian rioters knows that the first rule is never to get separated from the main force. The Shayatet 6 elite troops lacked this experience.

This error was compounded by the planners seriously underestimating expected resistance and sending the men in armed only with paintballs and pistols with orders to shoot only if their lives were at risk.
They did open fire, but only after half a dozen of their number were badly hurt.
The entire episode bespeaks faulty intelligence on what was going on aboard the six vessels bound for Gaza, although the information was available from daily live broadcasts and easy access to visitors.

And another question:
The IDF is famous for its innovative electronic warfare capabilities. So why were the signals and images coming from the convoy not jammed as promised and allowed to reach world TV screens hours before the authorities responsible for Israeli information woke up?

And finally, why did the interception take place 80 miles out to sea in international waters, thereby fueling the complaint that Israel broke international law? The blockade zone is 20 nautical miles deep from Gaza. An Israeli raid at that limit would have been easier to justify.

Flotilla activists tried to lynch Israeli soldiers

OPENING SALVO for WORLD WAR 3
or Gog / Magog  or  Armageddon

Flotilla activists tried to lynch Israeli soldiers
They were fully prepared to provoke this deadly confrontation, (Israel wasnt)

May 31, 2010       Aaron Klein

A woman on the flotilla said that the participants goal was either Martyrdom or reaching Gaza.

Activists on a six-ship flotilla headed to the Gaza Strip had planned to lynch the Israeli commandos who stormed the ship.
When IDF forces stormed the ship, some participants onboard attempted to grab the Israeli commandos to lynch the forces with rope.

"They were fully prepared to provoke this deadly confrontation," said an IDF official.
Israeli navy commandos raided the flotilla, encountering heavy resistance and live fire from the activists.

The main flotilla ship was named the Rachel Corrie, taking on the namesake of a far-left activist from the International Solidarity Movement who died in 2003 while serving as a human shield to protect a terrorist.

The terror flotilla chanted, "Remember Khaibar, Khaibar, oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!"

That chant is often used at rallies for Hamas in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Khaibar is the name of the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad in 628. That battle marked the end of the Jewish presence in Arabia.

Recipe for a new blood libel

Recipe for a new blood libel

Jerusalem Watchman    Monday 31 May 2010

Beware the spider's web

The eruption of violence that occurred on the high seas in the early hours of May 31, when criminals and terrorists masquerading as peace activists attacked and tried to kill Israeli soldiers had at least one positive outcome:
It caused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel his visit to the White House, which had been set for Tuesday June 1 after Barack Hussein Obama extended an invitation to him.

Few observers were fooled by the 'friendly' request. Obama had come under fire from many quarters after treating Netanyahu like dirt during his last visit to Washington.

With a virtually 0 percent approval rating among Israelis, 0bama was forced to accept the fact that he would not be able to cajole Israelis into embracing his vision for a new Middle East.

Hungry for a foreign policy feat, Obama was ready even to eat a little crow, thus the invitation sent by the hand of his chief of staff, Israeli turncoat Rahm Emanuel.

Not that the president has had a change of heart.

Simply put, Obama planned to spring a sweet trap on Netanyahu in the White House. Some flattering words, a smiling photo opportunity, and perhaps a friendly meal around the presidential table, and Israel’s prime minister would have been ripened for manipulation.

According to the Bible:

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.  Proverbs 21:1

And, speaking to Israel:

Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.  Isaiah 43:4

And, exhorting His people against the odds:

You must not fear them, for the LORD your God Himself fights for you.’  Deuteronomy 3:22

Lest we forget who owns Jerusalem

Lest we forget who owns Jerusalem

Recipe for a new blood libel
Monday 31 May 2010    Jerusalem Watchman

I love watching Israel being exonerated. It has happened time and again over the years: Israel’s enemies falsely level blood libels against the Jews, the reflexively anti-Israel news media snatches and runs – exhilarated – with the story, spreading the perverted version of events far and wide. Sooner or later their “reporting” is shown to be inaccurate if not downright false, and Israel is absolved.

Not that this makes much difference to those who hate Zion(ism) – of course. But it is music to the ears and eyes of those who love Israel.

The attempt Monday morning by Israel’s navy to enforce its blockade of the Gaza Strip terrorist mini-state is just the latest example. There is no telling what distortions you may have heard, but let me lay out how it was.

Days ago two organizations – the Free Gaza Movement and the Turkish Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH) – the latter known to have ties with internationally-recognized terrorist organizations – began making announcing their intention to sail a flotilla of boats towards Gaza in an attempt to breach the Israeli government’s blockade of the Strip.

Israel, which banned all maritime traffic to Gaza in an effort to limit the quantity of weapons being shipped into the Hamas stronghold (from which thousands of rockets have been fired upon Israeli civilian population centers) made it clear it would not permit the ships to reach Gaza.

The government of Turkey – an erstwhile ally of Israel’s that has become increasingly antagonistic towards the Jewish state in recent months, while moving deeper into the orbit of Ahmadinejad’s Iran – stepped into the developing fray, warning Israel not to try and stop the boats.

Emboldened by this, the “activists” sailed to Cyprus and prepared for the final leg of their voyage to Gaza. Israel, making every effort to avoid a confrontation – short of backing down – invited the demonstrators to sail into Ashdod and have their humanitarian supplies shipped overland to Gaza from there. The “peaceniks” refused, and on Sunday evening set course for Gaza.

This was Israel’s response: Naval ships intercepted the flotilla and Israeli commandoes, armed with paintball rifles (!) and wearing side arms strictly for self-defense, slid to the deck of the largest ship – the Mavi Marmara. Their purpose: to tell the protestors one last time that they would not be allowed into Gaza.

A few minutes later a reporter for Turkish television was heard screaming into his camera: “These savages are killing people here, please help!”

The news flashed around the globe. That is to say, an uninformed and misinformed version of what was happening flew from network to network.
The headlines and reporting, condemnations and outrage voiced on the morning of May 31, 2010 were predictable.

Israel had attacked a sailing flotilla of peace activists who were simply seeking to take humanitarian aid to the “suffering” people of the Gaza Strip.

IDF soldiers had opened fire indiscriminately on the unresisting protestors, killing up to 19 of them.

The Israelis had “dropped from a helicopter onto the deck of a Turkish ship [and] immediately opened fire on unarmed civilians.”

Israel had deliberately “targeted innocent civilians,” claimed troublemaking Turkey’s foreign ministry, warning of “irreparable consequences” to the two countries’ relations.

Israel had committed “a massacre,” cried PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas, while his mouthpiece, Sa’eb Erekat, pronounced Israel guilty of “another war crime.” For good measure the PA/PLO immediately declared three days of mourning for those killed.

Screamed the BBC: “Death as Israel storms aid ship.”

CNN: “Israeli commandos killed at least 10 people in pre-dawn raids on a flotilla of six ships carrying aid for the Palestinian territory of Gaza…”

The network also gave a platform to Gaza-based Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri who said: “The Israeli attack on the Freedom Flotilla is an ugly crime and against international law and this reflects the nature of the criminal Israeli occupation.”

Deceived (willingly?) by these hysterical headlines, officials like Catherine Ashton, the European Union’s high representative for foreign affairs, and senior UN figures Robert Serry and Filippo Grandi laid the blame for the whole affair at Israel’s door and demanded Israel immediately lift the blockade of Gaza.

The new British Foreign minister John Haig also called on Israel to open all the crossings for free flow of aid into Gaza.

Deputy United Nations chief Oscar Fernandez-Taranco said the deaths could have been avoided if only Israel had lifted its blockade. Needless to say, the fact that the deaths could have been avoided if the “activists” had kept their noses out of Israel’s affairs never entered the man’s head.

Sky News’ Dominic Waghorn said Israel had “handed an enormous PR victory to the Hamas.” Waghorn is oblivious, it seems, to the fact that it is his and other international journalists’ skewed coverage of what occurred that was providing that very PR victory for their Arab friends.

What really happened? Israel has plenty of footage revealing the truth.

You can view the sickening scenes here , and here, and here.

The “peace-loving” protestors tried to lynch the Israeli soldiers. As each paintball-armed soldier reached the deck he was leaped upon by iron-bar wielding, chair-smashing, knife-stabbing and even gun-firing “activists.”

Some soldiers were beaten senseless. One was dropped headfirst onto a lower deck, sustaining serious injuries. Another was stabbed, his pistol was grabbed from him and used to fire at the Israelis. Stun grenades and firebombs were thrown at the soldiers.

When they eventually opened fire, it was only to defend themselves, and we still do not know how many of those killed were killed by the soldiers or by the terrorists (because that’s what they were) who were trying to shoot the IDF men.

This is the real story. But don’t hold your breath waiting for the currently convening emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to find in Israel’s favor.

When it comes to the state of the hated Jews, the truth rarely finds traction in the court of international opinion. Thanks largely to the media, many millions of people are primed and ready to believe the worst about the actions of Israel’s Jews. For them it’s a case of: why let the facts get in the way of a convenient and expedient story that further feeds their prejudices and satisfies their twisted desires.

They’ll eat their spit.

IDF: Wasnt possible to stop largest craft

IDF: Wasnt possible to stop largest craft

June 1, 2010

Due to impossibility of stopping Marmara, other operational options were rejected.
'Peace' groups were Arab Muslim terrorists.

A senior IDF officer said that the army carefully considered the options for stopping the flotilla to Gaza, and rejected alternatives to the operation finally chosen.

The possibility of stopping Turkish cruise ship Marmara, the largest vessel in the flotilla, because of its size, strength and speed, was considered.
But doing this by stopping its engines was rejected because the tow to the shore would be too long.
There were also fears that those on the boats would be left without water or food.
The officer said that the 2 pistols snatched from IDF troops were found on the bodies of those killed. They were without bullets because they had been fired.  (LOL!)

Meanwhile, following UN calls for a thorough investigation into the operation against the flotilla, questions are already being asked in the Knesset.

Israel got out of Gaza a few years ago (2005), and since then we have been attacked, an Israeli soldier (Shalit) has been in some hidden basement for 4 years, and thus Israel had a right to act.

Lifting of the sea blockade would cause further missiles and terror activities.
Israel has no choice but to defend itself.

June 1, 2010

UN called for the immediate release of hundreds of international activists and the 6 ships being held by Israel.

The Security Council had met in emergency session on the situation, with most members of the 15-nation body calling for a thorough investigation.

The Security Council's statement stopped short of condemning Israel, a move sought by Turkey.

Most of those who died in the incident were Turks. Thats good, since Turkey is behind this.

50 activists (Arab Muslim terrorists ) were taken to Ben-Gurion Airport for voluntary repatriation. Around 629 had refused and would be jailed while Israel weighed legal options.

Israel, stop apologizing!!

Israel, stop apologizing!!

Thats what I say!  These were Arab Muslim terrorists, NOT 'peaceniks,' intent on WAR in these ships!

'Peace activists’ armed with bats, knives were determined to fight ‘Zionists’

Israelis are not the ones who should be apologizing for what happened. We acted just like any country is supposed to act when its sovereignty is being undermined.
We tried to do it in diplomatic means, we attempted to appeal to logic, yet when hundreds of 'peace activists' armed with bats and knives are determined to fight the Zionists, the result is predictable.
Nobody in this country wanted to see blood being spilled; neither that of soldiers nor that of the lynch mob. Yet THIS is WAR, there are casualties.

Many questions can be raised regarding the military tactic, available intelligence information, and the operational alternatives.

While groups of hooligans were getting organized in Turkey, here in Israel we referred to it as a peaceful mission.
While they were planning how to beat up soldiers with bats, we dealt with the essence of the humanitarian aid.
It wasnt hard to realize that there was no connection whatsoever between persistent provocateur Raed Salah and concern for Gaza residents.

Solid provocation

It was hard to ignore the fact that those supposedly wishing to quickly provide aid to the besieged Gazans were delayed in Cyprus in order to grant media interviews.
The members of these concerned organizations could have transferred their goods in numerous ways (some of them via the IDF, directly) yet they preferred to harm Israel's image.
Who cares about food for the besieged when one can produce a solid provocation?

So what are we supposed to do next time? Try the exact same thing?  Detain them aggressively, without batting an eyelid?

The naval blockade around Gaza was imposed because Hamas established a threatening Iranian outpost right under our nose.
As long as the State of Israel has not given up on the effort to curb the military buildup in Gaza, as long as we did not give up on the
right of southern residents in Israel to live peacefully, and as long as we have an interest in avoiding rockets aimed at Tel Aviv,
there is no choice but to screen whatever comes into the Strip.

It doesnt look good and the images it produces arent pretty, yet the lives of Israeli citizens are more important than any scathing diplomatic protest.
And yes, insisting on life here has its price. I simply prefer that the other side pay it.

Israel issues travel warning to Turkey because of violence

New ships heading to Gaza by Wednesday (June 2) reports msnbc

cj note
The next boats could be totally peaceful, unarmed, but the IDF will HAVE to stop them with MUCH greater force fully armed.
Then of course Israel will again appear grossly unfair and more propaganda for the Muslims.

June 1, 2010        DEBKAfile Special Report

Flotilla activists released white doves of peace when they set out from Istanbul TURKEY.

With two more vessels due to set sail in the next 48 hours to continue the challenge to Israel's Gaza blockade, Deputy Defence Minister Mattan Vilnai admitted Tuesday, June 1 that the
Israeli commando seizure of the six-boat Gaza-bound flotilla Monday, May 31 had its faults. But he stressed the mission was nonetheless bravely accomplished.
None of the six vessels reached Gaza port - albeit with regrettable loss of life.
While the IDF would learn from its mistakes and do things differently, access to Gaza would continue to be blocked for as long as the Hamas-ruled territory was at war with Israel.

The deputy minister contemptuously dismissed furious demands at home for defence minister Ehud Barak to resign, saying the critics had "never go their feet wet."

Images of Israeli elite commandos beaten with iron bars - one was thrown off the top deck - have infuriated Israelis.

Vilnai admitted: We underestimated the murderous intentions of the activists aboard the Turkish Marmora vessel and the force of international reaction to televised shots of a brutal situation -
real battles never look good on television, he said. In that sense, the organizers of the Turkish-led international expedition achieved their aim.

And indeed the UN Security Council early Tuesday capped the chorus of international disapproval by calling for Israel to conduct a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation of the flotilla incident,
condemning acts causing loss of civilian lives and requesting the immediate release of ships and civilians held by Israel.

Vilnai dismissed the avowed humanitarian aims of the convoy, reiterating that the people of Gaza are not hungry; neither is there any humanitarian crisis.
Israel supplies its basic needs. Life there is certainly hard, he said, but "It can't be easy to live under a Hamas regime, which throws political opponents off the roofs to their death."

But like most Israeli spokesmen, the deputy minister neglected to drive home the blockade's main purpose:
Without it, Iranian ships loaded with ballistic missiles would be free to unload their cargoes at Gaza Port -
with the same ease as their heavy weapons consignments reach Lebanon. Hamas would quickly grow into a second Hizballah. For Israel, lifting the blockade would be an act of suicide.

Vilnai also missed his aim when he addressed the growing criticism at home of the way the raid was conducted. Much of it comes from veteran naval officers, who were deeply distressed on three counts:

1. They want the defense minister, who was deeply involved in every detail of the operation, to be accountable for its shortcomings.

2.  They accuse the minister of sending the naval commandos of the elite Shayetet 6 unit into a clearly violent confrontation
without adequate means of defense or options in case of violent resistance because he was afraid of international disapproval.

Those officers maintained that when the activists on the Turkish Marmara saw that the commandos were virtually tied hand and foot, they were encouraged to extremes of violence.
Had they been appropriately equipped, the troops could have quietly taken the helm and diverted the ship to Ashdod and the incident would have ended without loss of life.

3. Hundreds of people milling about on the deck ready to waylay the commandos as they landed were visible from the helicopters before the drops began.
A small amount of tear gas would have cleared the decks and enabled the troops to perform their mission cleanly.

4. This was clearly no job for inadequately armed commandos highly trained for different sorts of combat.
When Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu returns home Tuesday, he would do well to back away from rhetoric and state clearly in advance that
any vessels, civilian or naval, venturing into the 20-nautical mile blockade zone would encounter warning fire first and if it was not heeded, direct fire.
Semi-armed soldiers must not be asked to cover for timid politicians.

As for an inquiry into the episode, the IDF regularly holds probes into all operations leading to loss of life as a matter of routine.
The Israeli public is just as insistent on a credible investigation as any outsiders.
The condition of all six hospitalized soldiers improved overnight by Tuesday morning.

Altogether 679 activists from 40 countries - most of them Turks and Greeks -  travelled on the six flotilla vessels, most of them on the biggest ship, the Marmora.
They were all taken ashore at Ashdod port Monday night, after 45 of the injured were earlier flown in to Israeli hospitals.

After agreeing to be processed and interrogated by Israeli police and security officers, 48 were deported Tuesday morning. Dozens more preferred jail.
The cargoes are being examined for illegal materials, after which Israel will send the legitimate aid supplies to the Gaza Strip overland.

Turkish warships to escort next flotilla to Gaza

Turkey has announced they will send another flotilla to Gaza escorted by the Turkish Navy!

This is from a blog  -  so read accordingly.

If they actually do this, it is the very definition of throwing down.
Does Israel want a war with Turkey?   (CJ - NO, fool - Turkey wants war with Israel!)
They can’t win it, short of using nukes, and Turkey is a NATO member, if Israel attacks NATO ships, Turkey can invoke Article V (in fact, they can invoke it already, since the ships were attacked by a non NATO power on the high seas.)
If Turkey does so, of course NATO nations will refuse, but doing so will break NATO.

This is high stakes.  If Turkey and Israel goes to war, it’s at least 50-50 the Egypt jumps in as well.
Israel is really playing with fire on this one.

Turkish FM likens flotilla raid to 9/11

Turkish FM likens flotilla raid to 9/11

June 1

Shortly before meeting with US Secretary of State Clinton, Ahmet Davutoglu tells reporters in Washington, 'Israelis think they are above any law, but we will stop them'. American sources tell Ynet decision to call off Netanyahu visit prevented embarrassment for Obama in light of events

WASHINGTON – As the tensions between Israel and Turkey escalate, senior officials from both countries arrived in Washington on Tuesday for a series of meetings, on the backdrop of the deadly Israel Defense Forces raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla.
The incident prompted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to call off his meeting with US President Barack Obama, which was scheduled to take place at the White House on Tuesday.

A day after leading the move to condemn Israel at the United Nations Security Council, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was expected to meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday evening in Washington.
During a press conference ahead of the meeting, Davitoglu said he was disappointed with Washington's cautious response to an incident he likened to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.

"Psychologically this attack is like 9/11 for Turkey because Turkish citizens were attacked by a state, not by terrorists, with an intention, a clear decision of political leaders of that state," he said.

"The Israelis think they are above any law, but Turkey and the rest of the international community will stop them," he said, comparing between the IDF operation and pirate operating in the Gulf of Eden.

Sources in Washington told Ynet that the decision to call off the Obama-Netanyahu meeting was made at the request of the Israeli side, which asked to move up the meeting to Monday evening, when the American president was unavailable after returning from a visit to Chicago.

The sources clarified, however, that they regretted the decision to postpone the meeting, which prevented an embarrassment for Obama in light of the recent events in the region.

PR efforts in Washington
National Security Advisor Uzi Arad continued his trip from Canada to Washington, where he met with Obama's national security advisor, James Jones and other White House officials.

Despite the wide protest against Israel across the world, former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger expressed his support for Israel in an interview with the MSNBC channel. He explained, however, that although the Navy operation was justified, its performance caused Israel damage.

Despite the claims of a serious PR failure following the incident, Israeli Ambassador to Washington Michael Oren presented Israel's stance on the major news channels. Oren told MSNBC that Israel was cooperating with the Americans and that Netanyahu had spoken to Obama three times in the past day.

Global Jihad on flotilla

Israel concerned next flotilla will be accompanied by Turkish Navy.
Dozens of passengers who were aboard the Mavi Marmara Turkish passenger ship are suspected of having connections with Global Jihad-affiliated terrorist organizations, defense officials said Tuesday, amid growing concerns that Turkey will dispatch Navy warships to accompany a future flotilla to the Gaza Strip.

According to the defense officials, the IDF identified a group of about 100 passengers on the ship that could have terrorist connections with Global Jihad affiliated groups.

During its searches of the Mavi Marmara on Tuesday, the military also discovered a cache of bulletproof vests, night-vision goggles as well as gas masks. On Monday morning, nine international activists were killed during the Navy’s takeover of the Mavi Marmara which was trying to break the Israel-imposed sea blockade on the Gaza Strip.

The group of over 50 passengers with possible terror connections have refused to identify themselves and were not carrying passports. Many of them were however carrying envelopes packed with thousands of dollars in cash.

The military is working to identify the passengers and is looking into the possibility that some of them have ties with Global Jihad-affiliated terror organizations and that some were involved in past global terror attacks. Some of them are apparently known Islamic extremists.

“This is the group that was behind the violent lynch against the naval commandos,” a defense official said. “They came on board the ship prepared and after they had trained for the expected Navy takeover.”

World against Israel

World against Israel!

I've been listening to infowar.com this afternoon and been trying to get a feel of what they're spinning.
One of Alex's first statements was that he was neutral and after that Alex and his guest spent most their time putting the blame on Israel.

He has accused them intentionally starting a war for the NWO as a diversion for a global banking take over.
He accused Israel purposely disrupting the region for a land grab of stealing Palestinian territory.
They said Israel was lying about Gaza is getting the essentials needed and they're treating them worse than the Nazis treated the Jews.

They said Israel created Palestinian opposition groups to fight each other so that they would not create a new state.

They claimed every action they took against the ships are illegal and they been illegally stopping ships for a long time.

There was so much they been coming down on Israel about, that I couldn't list all the accusations.

I'm sure that there is corruption in Israel but God always judged them throughout history. God said in His word that He is jealous for His people and only He will punish them and He will miraculously protect them.

His remnant is still in Israel and the Bible has it all laid out how the end is going to happen. It don't matter what world has planned against Israel, God will step in and end it all.
Then will Israel get its proper respect under the rule of Jesus and the world will come to Israel for the Lord's Feast.

Ultimately, we can never, Never, NEVER, NEVER side with the Palestieans, why?

Because their main agenda is to SLAY the INFIDEL! The more land they grab in Israel, the more they have an advantage against the Jews, and the greater chance God's remnant there will be slayed and taken over.

Yes - I agree there is some wickedness in Israel's government, but the issue here is the Palestineans and their violent religion that will do incredible damage.

The crime is not the state of Israel blockading Gaza.
The crime is not Islam trying to break that blockade or attempting to repel the Israeli commandos who boarded their ship in international waters.

The crime is sending the Israeli commandos into that situation, with a half-assed plan armed with paint balls.  These young men were set up by their leaders.  This operation was intentionally designed to be a fiasco.  They were sold out by their military and political leaders.  I think the next boarding party should be the commanders armed with slingshots and Nerf balls.

How can the men and women in the IDF trust their leadership's judgments?  They  are no longer lead by the strategists who carried out En Tebbe, the bombing of Iraq's nuclear plant or the bringing to completion of the six Day war.  Gods hand was not with Israel on Memorial Day.

The crime is not the state of Israel blockading Gaza.

I agree.

The crime is not Islam trying to break that blockade or attempting to repel the Israeli commandos who boarded their ship in international waters.

I dont agree.  For Bill Ayers fleet of Turkey-sponsored shiploads of hardened professional terrorists to try to help the terrorist Hamas in Gaza by ramming the valid Israeli blockade IS A CRIME.

The crime is sending the Israeli commandos into that situation, with a half-assed plan armed with paint balls.  These young men were set up by their leaders.  This operation was intentionally designed to be a fiasco.

It sure as heck looks and sounds that way.  Sad

How can the men and women in the IDF trust their leadership's judgments?

Thats a little scary.  The famed greatest military in the world - Israel - morale undermind by its own leaders.

THE TERRORISTS ON THE TURKEY SHIP USED A KNIFE TO DISEMBOWEL THE ISRAELI COMMANDO,
THEN REACH IN AND PULL OUT HIS GUTS - WHILE THE POOR MAN WAS STILL CONCIOUS!

TURKEY DID NOT SEND HUMAN BEINGS!  THEY SEND DEVILS!

As the international community rushes to condemn Israel for the violence on board one of the ships in the Gaza flotilla, which left a reported 10 people dead and dozens injured, it is now
obvious that the real purpose of this ‘armada of hate’ was not merely the further delegitimisation of Israel but something far worse.

Gaza’s markets are full of produce, thousands of tons of supplies are travelling into Gaza every week through the Israeli-controlled border crossings, and there is no starvation or humanitarian crisis.
It was always obvious that the flotilla was not the humanitarian exercise it was said to be.
Here is footage of the IDF offering to dock the Marmara - the main flotilla ship - at Ashdod and transfer its supplies and being told ‘Negative, negative, our destination is Gaza’.

And now we can see that the real purpose of this invasion -- backed by the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH),
a radical Islamic organization outlawed by Israel in 2008 for allegedly serving as a major component in Hamas’s global fund-raising machine - was to incite a violent uprising in the Middle East and across the Islamic world.
As I write, reports are coming in of Arab rioting in Jerusalem.

The notion – uncritically swallowed by the lazy, ignorant and bigoted BBC and other western media – that the flotilla organisers are ‘peace activists’ is simply ludicrous.
This research by the Danish Institute for International Studies details the part played by the IHH in Islamist terror in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Chechnya.
According to the French magistrate Jean-Louis Bruguiere testifying at the Seattle trial of would-be al Qaeda Millenium bomber Ahmed Ressamin, the IHH had played ‘[a]n important role’ in the al Qaeda Millenium bomb plot targeting Los Angeles airport.
It was also involved in weapons trafficking, and played in addition a key role in galvanizing anti-Western sentiment among Turkish Muslims in the lead-up to the 2003 war in Iraq.
Peace activists’ these people most certainly are not.

And this flotilla was but the latest jihadi attack, deploying the Islamists’ signature strategy of violence and media manipulation.
Here from MEMRI (via Just Journalism) is a clip showing the hysteria against Israel being whipped up on board before the ships set sail, with the chanting of intifada songs about ‘Khaybar’ –
the iconic slaughter of Jews by Muslims in the 7th century which is used as a rallying cry to kill the Jews today - and threats of ‘martyrdom’. This was not merely a propaganda stunt, but a terrorist attack.

Obama's close pal Bill Ayers was at the bottom of this raid on Israel by ships

June 2, 2010

124 Gaza flotilla activists deported from Israel arrive in Jordan on 5 Israeli buses

Trained, hardened agents can resist stun and gas grenades.  These ships had aboard trained, hardened suicide terrorists.

I was listening to Rusty Humphries radio show on the local radio station.  (Probably his June 1 show recorded)
I quickly clicked the internet radio on computer to hear more clearly because local radio has so much static  -  but it was DEAD.   Nothing.  CENSORED?

I am unsure of the name of Rusty's guest.
The moment the guest began to mention 0bama being born in Kenya they cut to advertising and came back afterward with what sounded like a repeat of the show earlier that hour.

Guest said Obama's close pal Bill Ayers was at the bottom of this raid on Israel by ships.
When the terrorists on the ship were wounded, they admitted being part of al qaeda and other terrorist groups, and begged Israel to take them to hospital.  Dirty cowards.
The Turkey terrorists (Bill Ayers) attack on Isreal being blamed on Israel by most of the world.

Cabinet: Navy raid clear act of self-defense

Cabinet: Navy raid clear act of self-defense

Prime minister convenes National Security Cabinet meeting following tragic results of operation on Gaza-bound ship. Ministers argue against sending flotilla's injured home, say they must be interrogated, prosecuted.

Netanyahu: Flotilla was no peace sail.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered a National Security Cabinet meeting Tuesday evening, to discuss the ramifications of the tragic results of the Gaza flotilla raid.

Cabinet ministers argued that Israel should not allow the Turkish planes sent to retrieve those wounded in Monday's events, to do so.

"They were not injured during a picnic, but during a violent clash with IDF forces. They must be held for further interrogation and if need be – prosecuted," said one of the ministers.

Cabinet Secretary Zvi Hauser said following the meeting that the cabinet "determined that restricting the entry of ships to Gaza, which is controlled by the Hamas terror organization, is a clear act of self-defense against the ongoing Hamas attacks on Israeli citizens and communities. This was the aim of the IDF operation against the violent provocation in high seas.

"The cabinet regrets the fact that there were casualties in this incident, but places the full responsibility on the elements which started the violent activity that put IDF soldiers in danger.

The National Security Cabinet convened at 5:30 pm, at the Prime Minister's Office. Netanyahu ordered the meeting prior to leaving Canada, where he was on a state visit, which he cut short once the events on board the Marmara unfolded.

"This was no peace sail, but a premeditated act of violence," Netanyahu told the ministers. "We have footage demonstrating exactly what our soldiers were facing, and the last thing you can say about that ship is that it was a peace sail.

"I visited soldiers at (the Chaim Sheba Medical Center at) Tel Hashomer and I heard how they faced terrorists with cold weapons – knives, clubs and axes - aboard that ship. Our soldiers acted bravely. We regret any loss of life – but we back our soldiers up fully.

The prime minister went on to explain to necessity of inspection of all maritime vessels heading to Gaza: "Operation Cast Lead taught us that weapons that find their way into Gaza are used against us."

All the blame falls on terrorist flotilla

All the blame falls on terrorist flotilla

June 2, 2010

Are you among those who wish our wars weren't as morally muddled as they've been lately? Do you long for the moral clarity of World War II – clear-cut good guys and bad guys? If so, congratulations. You've got it here and now in the waters off Gaza.

On one side you have darkness, dictatorship, torture, religious oppression, summary execution for brothers suspected of disloyalty, beheadings for courageous journalists who chase truth, honor killings for young daughters curious about the taste of lipstick, utter subjugation of women, a swath of territory the size of the moon with the word "Failure" writ large all over it, scripture that demands extermination of those who don't believe – there's more, but that's enough.

On the other side you've got a little country sinking under the weight of its Nobel Prizes, dazzling medical discoveries, life-lifting inventions, miraculous greenery that was desert a mere historical eye-blink ago, a country with a judicial system that punishes its own soldiers who wantonly harm enemy civilians, a country open to every race and religion, the only democracy between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean – there's more, but that's enough.

Israel has politely served notice on the world that, "We shall not be so inexpensively exterminated again."

The speed of light is impressive, but it's no match for the power of ignorance. Facts don't cease to be facts just because bad people hate them. Here's what major media worldwide want you to believe: "Israel has committed a murderous assault on a peaceful flotilla seeking nothing but the bringing of humanitarian aid to the embattled citizens of Gaza." And that, friends, is a commodity found in abundance wherever bulls congregate.

Paul Harvey, please come back! Never have we needed "the rest of the story" more urgently. In a way, Gaza is occupied – by Hamas! Hamas refused to recognize Israel and has lobbed 10,000 explosive reminders of that into Israeli villages.

Now then, what about this "humanitarian aid"? Are you aware that Israel warned loud and long against any attempt to break its well-justified blockade? That doesn't impress you! Very well, are you aware that Israel invited the flotilla to sail nonviolently into the southern Israeli port of Ashdod where the cargo would be inspected to weed out any weaponry that might have "accidentally" gotten mixed up with the humanitarian aid, whereupon the aid would have been shipped unmolested into Gaza?

That may trouble the blockade-busters a bit because that strips the true motivation of the flotilla down to very thin underwear. And, of course, that genuinely humanitarian gesture by Israel was rejected by the "peace activists," thereby offering courtroom-proof that the true motive of the expedition was precisely to provoke the confrontation with Israel that they achieved. Are you aware the "peace activists" had children aboard, knowing they were going to violate international maritime law against an Israel generous with its warnings? Sound familiar?

Nobody had to die. Nobody had to suffer a bent fingernail. But allowing the truly humanitarian portion of the cargo to enter through Israel would not have given the "peace activists" the heroic mantle of "defiance" for which they staged the whole diseased enterprise. The Israeli commandoes were armed with paintball guns; you know, the kind the militia trainees play with in the woods of the Dakotas.

How brave are those who refuse Israel's invitation to deliver the aid peacefully and, instead, stage a wholly unnecessary defiance to send aid to a country that's not occupied?

Israeli Blockade of Gaza Strip to Continue

Israeli Blockade of Gaza Strip to Continue

Of course!  They MUST!  NO reason not to continue it!

O God, do not remain quiet. Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves.
They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones.
They have said, 'Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more.'
For they have conspired together with one mind, against You they make a covenant.
Psalm 83:1-5

June 2, 2010

Despite growing international condemnation, Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip will continue due to fears that Hamas will ship rockets and other weapons into the area, Israeli officials say.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak spoke to his Turkish counterpart as well as the country's chief of staff on Monday and they agreed that the raid on an aid flotilla that ended with Israeli soldiers killing nine activists wouldn't affect weapons deals, defense officials said who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's spokesman, Mark Regev, indicated Israel consider ways to ease the blockade to allow more goods into Gaza -- a policy quietly under way for months.

"We have been expanding the assistance that has been going into the Gaza Strip -- both the volume and the variety of goods -- and we have ongoing dialogue with the international community," said Regev, who added that Israel could not end the blockade, fearing that Hamas would ship rockets and other weapons into the area.

"We cannot have unfettered naval cargo going into the Gaza Strip," he said.

Monday's raid led to ferocious international condemnation of Israel, raised questions at home, and appeared likely to increase pressure to end the blockade that has deepened the poverty of the 1.5 million Palestinians in the strip. The U.N. Security Council called early Tuesday for an "impartial" investigation of Israel's deadly raid and condemned the "acts," while pro-Palestinian activists sent another boat to challenge Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and Egypt declared it was temporarily opening a crossing into the Palestinian territory.

Turkey, which unofficially supported the flotilla, has led the criticism, calling the Israeli raid a "bloody massacre" and demanding that Washington condemn the raid. The White House has reacted cautiously, calling for disclosure of all the facts.

There were signs, however, that the long-term strategic partnership between Israel and its most important Muslim ally would endure: Turkey canceled three joint land and sea exercises, but appeared to be otherwise maintaining deep military ties that include the planned delivery of $183 million in Israeli drones this summer.

Amid the tensions, the Israeli military said it carried out an airstrike in Gaza on Tuesday, and an Islamic militant group said three of its members were killed after firing rockets into southern Israel. Israeli authorities say the rockets landed in open areas and caused no injuries.

Two militants infiltrating into Israel from Gaza were killed in a separate incident Tuesday, the military said.

In other violence, Israeli hospital officials said an American woman lost her eye during a demonstration Monday in Jerusalem against the naval raid. Emily Henochowicz of Maryland was in intensive care after undergoing surgery, said hospital spokeswoman Yael Bossem-Levy. Witnesses said Henochowicz, 21, was hit by a tear gas canister in the face while Palestinian youths were throwing rocks, although she was standing at a distance.

The pro-Palestinian flotilla had been headed to Gaza with tens of thousands of tons of aid that Israel bans from Gaza. After days of warnings, Israel intercepted the flotilla under the cover of darkness early Monday, setting off a violent melee that left nine activists dead and dozens of people, including seven soldiers, wounded. Most of the dead were believed to be Turks.

Israel said 679 people were arrested, and about 50 of those had left the country voluntarily. Hundreds who refused to cooperate remained jailed and subject to deportation.

Israel says the Gaza blockade is needed to prevent the Iranian-backed Hamas, which has fired thousands of rockets into the Jewish state, from building up its arsenal. It also wants to pressure Hamas to free an Israeli soldier it has held for four years.

Critics say the blockade has failed to weaken Hamas but further strapped an already impoverished economy. It also has prevented Gaza from rebuilding after a devastating Israeli military offensive early last year.

Egypt, which has enforced the blockade with Israel since Hamas militants seized control of Gaza in 2007, said it was opening the border for several days to allow aid into the area as a humanitarian gesture. It was unclear, however, when the frontier would open.

Several thousand Gazans -- some in cars with suitcases piled on the roof, others on foot -- rushed to the Egyptian border, hoping to take advantage of a rare chance to escape the blockaded territory.

The Hamas Interior Ministry said authorities were not prepared to open the crossing and noted that government employees were on strike to mourn those killed in Monday's raid. Large crowds of people milled about the crossing, occasionally shouting at border guards, but there was no unrest.

Dozens of Hamas police with automatic weapons patrolled the area to maintain order.

"We are working to help residents take advantage of this opportunity," said Hamas Interior Ministry spokesman Ihab Ghussein. "We hope it will be open all the time, not just as a response to yesterday's events."

Greta Berlin said the Free Gaza Movement, which organized the flotilla, would not be deterred and that another cargo boat was off the coast of Italy en route to Gaza. A second boat carrying about three dozen passengers is expected to join it, Berlin said. She said the two boats would arrive in the region this week or early next week.

"This initiative is not going to stop," she said from the group's base in Cyprus. "We think eventually Israel will get some kind of common sense. They're going to have to stop the blockade of Gaza, and one of the ways to do this is for us to continue to send the boats."

The Israeli military refused to say how it would respond to the arrival of new Gaza-bound ships. But Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said, "there is no change in policy" and urged activists to send the aid into Gaza through current, authorized means.

"We have no intention to use violence and there is no need for this to end violently," Palmor said. "If they want the aid to get to Gaza, they can send through the regular peaceful channels. I think they understand that seeking confrontation will not do them any good."

Protests erupted in a number of Muslim countries, including Turkey, which unofficially supported the flotilla, Indonesia and Malaysia, where a Palestinian man slashed himself outside the U.S. Embassy.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, an outspoken critic of Israel, told lawmakers the Israeli raid was an attack "on international law, the conscience of humanity and world peace."
"This bloody massacre by Israel on ships that were taking humanitarian aid to Gaza deserves every kind of curse," he said, demanding that Israel immediately halt its "inhumane" blockade of Gaza.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry said four Turkish citizens were confirmed slain by Israeli commandos and another five also were believed to be Turks. Israeli authorities were still trying to confirm their nationalities.

Thousands of pro-Islamic and nationalist Turks have poured into the streets in Istanbul and Ankara since the report of the Israeli raid. Protesters with Palestinian and Turkish flags shouted "Down with Israel!" outside Israeli diplomatic missions.

Within Israel, the raid sparked intense debate over why the military operation went awry.

Israel sent commandos onto the six ships carrying nearly 700 activists after mission organizers ignored the government's call to bring the cargo to an Israeli port, where it would be inspected and transferred to Gaza. In most cases, the passengers quickly surrendered. But on the largest ship, the Turkish-flagged Mavi Marmara, the forces encountered resistance.

Israeli commandos rappelled on ropes from a helicopter and army videos showed them being attacked by angry activists with metal rods and one soldier being thrown off the ship. Others jumped overboard to escape the angry mob. Israeli authorities said they were attacked by knives, clubs and live fire from two pistols wrested from soldiers. The soldiers then opened fire, killing nine.

Israeli military analysts said it was a mistake to send commandos to board the Marmara and the military could have used nonlethal weapons such as tear gas. They also said the intelligence-gathering was faulty.

Retired Gen. Shlomo Brom asked why the ships' engines weren't sabotaged instead.

"There were certain objectives to this operation. One was not to let the vessels get to Gaza, but the other objective was to do it without any damage to Israel's image," Brom told The Associated Press. "Certainly it failed."
The daily Maariv, in a front-page headline, called the raid a "debacle."

Sabine Haddad, spokeswoman for the Israeli Interior Ministry, said 679 people were arrested and handed deportation orders. By midafternoon Tuesday, some 50 people had left the country voluntarily. But hundreds refused to cooperate and were jailed.

"The rest said they wanted to go to jail and are at Beersheba jail going through a process of deportation," she said. She said judges were hearing the cases and that almost everyone would be expelled within the next few days.

She said more than half of those arrested were from Turkey, with others coming from more than 30 other countries, including Britain, Algeria, Jordan, Kuwait, Germany and the U.S. Israeli police said four Arab Israeli citizens would face criminal charges.

Israel did not allow access to the activists, but a handful who were deported arrived home Tuesday, including a Turkish woman and her 1-year-old son, six Greeks and three German lawmakers.

"There was a massacre on board," said the woman, Nilufer Cetin, whose husband, Ekrem, is the Marmara's engineer and was still in Israeli custody. "The ship turned into a lake of blood."

Norman Paech, a former member of Germany's Left Party who was aboard the Marmara, said he only saw three activists resisting.

"They had no knives, no axes, only sticks that they used to defend themselves," Paech said at a news conference in Berlin after he and four other Germans returned from Tel Aviv. He added, however, that he could "not rule out" that others used weapons somewhere else on the boat.

Turkey said it was sending three ambulance planes to Israel to return 20 Turkish activists injured in the operation and had other aircraft ready to get other activists. About 400 Turks took part in the flotilla.

The flotilla was the ninth attempt by sea to breach the blockade Israel and Egypt imposed after Hamas violently seized the territory. Israel allowed five seaborne aid shipments through but snapped the blockade shut after its 2009 war in Gaza.

There was little call in Israel to end the blockade. Israelis have little sympathy for Gaza, which sent thousands of rockets and mortar rounds crashing into Israel for years before last year's war.

The Israeli-Gaza border was tense following the naval raid.

The Iranian-backed Islamic Jihad said three of its fighters were killed Tuesday shortly after firing rockets into southern Israel. Israeli authorities say the rockets landed in open areas and caused no injuries.

The Israeli military confirmed its airstrike, and Gaza's chief medical examiner also said there were three deaths.

On Tuesday morning, the Israeli military said Gaza militants infiltrated Israel and exchanged fire with troops. Israeli rescue services said two militants were killed, but the military would not immediately confirm that.

Turkey, Israel clash

Turkey, Israel near clash after terror cell exposed on flotilla.

Israel flies embassy families out

June 2, 2010     debka

debkafile reports: Early Wednesday, June 2, US president Barack Obama stepped into the fast-deteriorating flotilla crisis to stop it from spinning out of control. In secret phone calls, he asked Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu to release all the remaining passengers without delay as well as the six ships. He then tried to reason with the incandescent Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan, who had just branded the Israeli raid a "bloody massacre."

Offering deep condolences for the loss of life aboard the flotilla, the US president said better ways must be found to bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza without undermining Israel's security. He supported the UN Security Council's call for "a credible, impartial and transparent investigation" of the event, but refused to condemn Israel or take the inquiry out of its hands.

debkafile reports from Ankara that Erdogan declined to be talked round, declaring that if America did not punish Israel for insolently "trampling on human honor", Turkey would.

Overnight, Israel began evacuating diplomats' families from Turkey. Diplomatic and consular staff were left in place in Ankara and Istanbul and told along with security firms to stand by for departure.

Netanyahu called the second security cabinet meeting in two days after the first on Tuesday approved the continued blockade of Gaza against all attempts to break it.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again threatened Israel with destruction for any action it may take  anywhere and its Western supporters with international trial as war criminals.

Israel is preparing for Ankara's next steps that would defy President Obama's bid to find a way out of the crisis between the two former allies. In Jerusalem, Erdogan's accusations were deemed an unfounded and unjustified assault considering the evidence that he had consorted with terrorists, including an al Qaeda offshoot, to bring Israel under pressure in support of the Palestinian extremist Hamas.

This evidence released by the IDF Monday night, June 1, described how the Turkish Marmara, the flotilla's lead vessel, had been commandeered by terrorists indirectly supported by the Ankara government's subsidy to the Turkish Insani Yardim Vakfi - IHH, which is listed by the American CIA as an al Qaeda-linked Islamist terrorist organization with bases in Turkey, Bosnia and Bulgaria.

Those passengers attested to more than a hundred members of terrorist organizations aboard acting like a quasi-military group with a command hierarchy, whose leader forced the other four or five hundred passengers to fall into line behind them. The group was split into sub-sections, each in charge of a section of the ship before and after it set sail from Istanbul. Its members were all armed with an assortment of chains, iron bars and knives as well as night goggles and gas masks.

Although they appeared to hail from different terrorist organizations from various countries, they were all ordered to say they belonged to the IHH.
The group kept the ship to a strict military regiment, including round-the-clock guards in the different sections of the Marmara.

When the ship was brought to Ashdod port and the passengers removed early Tuesday, the IHH members were found without identification papers of any kind. Either the Turkish authorities at Istanbul were instructed to let them embark aboard the Marmara without documents or they threw them overboard before the ship docked at Ashdod. Each had an envelope stuffed with thousands of dollars.

debkafile's intelligence sources disclose that, when first brought in, the Turkish terror activists refused to answer questions. By Tuesday nightfall, a few began talking and admitted to being members of IHH and its ties with al Qaeda's Balkan outfit. Throughout the interrogations, Israel intelligence was in contact with colleagues in Western services for help to identify them by means of fingerprints and other physical features.
Our counter-terror sources report that Israel must now decide whether to prosecute some of the activists, including Israeli Arabs, on board the Marmara, on charges of collaborating with an international terrorist organization.

During Tuesday, Israel began deporting the 679 passengers - including 128 for Arab and Muslim countries through Jordan. The rest will be flown out within 48 hours. Three Turkish jets were due to collect them Wednesday. Eight Israel trucks brought assistance products from the ships to Gaza Tuesday; another 10 will make deliveries Wednesday.
Israel intelligence agencies too have questions to answer - principally, how they missed spotting the terrorist presence aboard the putative aid-for-Gaza convoy and let a naval force undertake the mission to divert the ships to Ashdod, without preparing them for a violent confrontation with a determined, well-organized group of violent men.

Paintballs to pistols, Israel admits ship blunders
By Dan Williams Dan Williams   – Tue Jun 1, 1:02 pm ET

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100601/ts_nm/us_israel_flotilla_tactics

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Wrong intelligence, wrong guns, wrong tactics. Israel's military acknowledged big mistakes on Tuesday during the bungled boarding of a Gaza-bound aid ship in which elite troops killed nine international activists.

Though Israelis rallied to their conscripts in the face of foreign fury, the domestic recrimination -- with "Foul-up" and "Fiasco" dominating newspaper headlines -- betrayed an erosion of confidence recalling the setbacks of the 2006 Lebanon war.

One commentator demanded that Defense Minister Ehud Barak step down. Cabinet members vowed to investigate, but their insistence that the pro-Palestinian activists had provoked the bloodshed found a ready ear among an irate Israeli public.

The secretive Flotilla 13 marine commando unit was brought out of the shadows to try to explain the operation's failings.

"We did not expect such resistance from the group's activists as we were talking about a humanitarian aid group," one unnamed naval lieutenant told Israel's Army Radio.

"The outcome was different to what we thought, but I must say that this was mainly because of the inappropriate behavior of the adversary we encountered."

Israel's police quarantine of activists from the Mavi Marmara prevented airing of dissenting testimony. The navy also jammed communications while storming the converted cruise ship.

That did not stop passengers broadcasting a globally viewed video clip that, ironically, helped Israel's case by showing a clutch of activists clubbing and stabbing two marines.

Israel released its own night-vision mission footage of a half-dozen commandos grappling with as many as 30 activists.

The images stirred undercurrents of disbelief and disgrace in Israel. Fabled for their silent exploits at sea, the fighters who rappelled onto the Mavi Marmara looked unfit for the melee -- outnumbered, almost overpowered, though far from outgunned.

Jason Alderwick, a maritime warfare expert at London's International Institute for Strategic Studies, faulted the marines for not commandeering the vessel more efficiently.

"Success begins with planning and with decent intelligence, and they have boarded such ships before," he said. "This time they didn't go in hard enough, fast enough and in sufficient numbers to establish overwhelming control."

OVER THE TOP

Some of the troops wielded paintball rifles -- non-lethal weapons designed to bruise, beat back and mark suspects for later arrest, but which apparently proved of limited use against activists who had the protection of life-jackets and gas masks.

"It's clear that the equipment for crowd-dispersal with which they were issued was insufficient," Israel's armed forces chief, Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi, told reporters.

There was little question of calling off the raid once the first Israelis were in the fight and vulnerable, though the navy said some commandos opted to escape by jumping overboard.

Israel said seven marines were injured, one after activists pitched him over a railing and two with gunshot wounds, possibly from backup pistols that were wrested away from them.

"A number of the fighters who understood the situation, the threat posed to their lives, reoriented themselves and simply worked with live (ammunition) weapons as soon as they came down," the marines lieutenant said.

Some experts questioned whether a police anti-riot unit might have tackled the resistance with less bloodshed.

But an Israeli Defense official said only marines were capable of the takeover 120 km (75 miles) in the choppy Mediterranean, timed for darkness to surprise the activists and deprive attendant journalists of spectacular pictures.

Barak's deputy, Matan Vilnai, brushed off the call in the best-selling Yedioth Ahronoth daily for the Defense minister's resignation. He hinted Israel had exhausted covert means of stalling the Mavi Marmara and five other vessels in a flotilla that sailed for Gaza in defiance of an Israeli campaign to isolate the Hamas Islamists who rule the Palestinian territory.

"Everything was considered. I don't want to elaborate beyond that, because the fact is there were not up to 10, or however many ships were (originally) planned," Vilnai told Israel Radio, alluding to rumors that some of the vessels had been sabotaged.

Alon Ben-David, Defense analyst for Israel's Channel 10 television, noted that video footage appears to show marines thwarted an attempt by activists to tie one of the rappelling ropes to the deck, a major threat to the hovering helicopter.

"The outcome could have been much worse," Ben-David said.

Rachel Corrie delayed due to technical problems
June 3, 2010
A diplomatic solution seems imminent to allow the humanitarian aid vessel the Rachel Corrie to dock without incident at the Ashdod Port. According to European diplomats and senior Foreign Ministry officials in Jerusalem, quiet messages have been exchanged over the past few days between Israel and the group operating the ship, to allow it to dock.

The ship is expected to arrive by the weekend.   MSNBC had said June 2.
The ship was to have been part of the first FREE GAZA terrorist flotilla, but was delayed due to technical problems. Its cargo includes cement  which is banned in Gaza because the Hamas use it for tunnels to smuggle in weapons.

Obama using flotilla fiasco to blackmail Israel?

Obama using flotilla fiasco to blackmail Israel?

Netanyahu official says White House expects concessions in exchange for support
Obama is pressing Israel to allow new activist flotillas into Gaza
.

June 02, 2010        Aaron Klein in JERUSALEM

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks on the Gaza flotilla in Jerusalem.
Israel was justified under international law to act against the flotilla.

News media widely reported Netanyahu canceled the meeting with Obama to deal with the fallout of the flotilla.
The truth is that Obama cancelled it.

Obama also asked Netanyahu for concessions in Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in exchange for U.S. opposition to the establishment of a
United Nations commission to investigate Israeli commando raid of a flotilla May 31 that resulted in the deaths of 9 (terrorists likely killed by their own).

U.N. is always biased against Israel.

Israel maintains a naval blockade on Hamas-controlled Gaza, fearing if it allows ships to reach the territory, Hamas will be able to transport weaponry for use against Israel.
MANY ships loaded with weapons destined for Gaza have been stopped.

Israel does not block humanitarian aid into Gaza. Israel allows many trucks daily to enter Gaza with food, medicine and other humanitarian supplies.
Israel transfers monthly into Gaza tens of millions of dollars worth of Israeli shekels to ensure the flow of cash in the territory.

Israel imposed a blockade on certain supplies it fears could be used by Hamas to build a military infrastructure.
The blockade must be maintained to keep weapons from reaching terrorists.
'Opening a naval route to Gaza will present an enormous danger to the security of our citizens,' said Bibi.

Prior to its raid of the flotillas, Israel asked the ship commanders to dock at the Israeli port of Ashdod so customs officials could inspect the
cargo for weapons while transferring any aid into Gaza.
(Aid which Hamas is now refusing.  Clearly it is NOT needed!)

Dozens of terrorists on the flotilla  were connected to Islamic terrorist organizations, including al-Qaida.

One of the flotilla passengers is Greek archbishop of Jerusalem, Father Hilarion Capucci, who was previously arrested for using his
church car service to smuggle explosives, firearms and katyusha rockets into Israel for the PLO.
Capucci was freed after an appeal from the anti-Israel Vatican.

Netanyahu freed all of the terrorists (under threat from Obama.)

The main flotilla ship was named the MV Rachel Corrie, the namesake of a far-left activist from the International Solidarity Movement
who died in 2003 while serving as a human shield to protect a terrorist.

These terrorists wanted to die as 'martyrs' more than they wanted to reach Gaza.

LITTLE DO THEY REALIZE THEY WILL FALL INTO THE FLAMES OF HELL - FOREVER!! .

World War 3, Armageddon

World War 3, Armageddon

Round 1 began overnight May 30-31
Round 2 has begun, the propaganda

The Israeli Navy made initial contact with the flotilla of Arab Muslim terrorists at 11:00 pm on Sunday, May 30th, ordering the ships
to follow them to Ashdod Port or otherwise be boarded.

The actual boarding of the ships took place at 2:00 am Monday, May 31.

The Muslim terrorists aboard the ships repeatedly said they WOULD NOT respond with violence to the interception of their flotilla prior to the boarding.

June 3, 2010

Rachel Corrie ship currently located between Libya and Cyprus, may arrive in Israeli waters headed for Gaza by Saturday.
On board is cement, forbidden in Gaza because Hamas use it to build tunnels thru which to smuggle weapons.
What they say and what they do are NOT the same!  The other ships said the same thing, then attacked Israelis viciously.

Turkey mulls military escort for Irish blockade-buster vesse

Turkey mulls military escort for Irish blockade-buster vessel

Reading this made me ANGRY!  But .. GOD is in control - and HE is free to ACT, I am not.

June 3, 2010   DEBKA Exclusive

Rachel Corrie - next blockade challenger - has changed course and is heading to Turke.

5 planes flew out of Israel June 2, carrying hundreds of foreign passengers and 9 bodies from the Turkish-led flotilla.
After surrendering to Turkey's ultimatum to release all the passengers, including the 7 members of Islamist terrorist groups who assaulted the Israeli boarding party,
the Netanyahu government faced a fresh ultimatum from Ankara:
Lift the Gaza blockade at once

( ISRAEL!  DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM TURKEY!!  )

Netanyahu pledged "to continue to uphold our right to self-defense against terror," but gave no specific undertaking to preserve the blockade.
The government in Jerusalem flouted legal opinion and sent out of Israel's jurisdiction a pack of terrorists without trial.

After Israel gave way on this, the Erdogan government upped the pressure with further ultimatums.

After declaring it was vital to prevent hundreds of Iranian ships reaching Gaza with thousands of heavy ballistic missiles for Hamas, Netanyahu faced a fresh Turkish demand to lift the blockade on Gaza without delay.

Furthermore, the Irish vessel Rachel Corrie, which was left out of the flotilla after it developed technical trouble, was discovered to have changed course from a direct route to Gaza and headed for a stopover at a Turkish port.

Israel suspects that the CORRIE would take aboard a new batch of  terrorists and head for the Gaza Strip.
They might even be the same terrorists who attacked Israeli commandos on the Marmara and were deported Wednesday.

Erdogan has resolved that this group which he personally sponsored will reach Gaza Port by hook or by crook.
It is also feared in Jerusalem that he may attach an escort of Turkish warships and air force jets to accompany the Rachel Corrie and make sure the ship breaks through the blockade to its destination.

The Irish ship was first scheduled to anchor Saturday, June 5, but its detour to Turkey will delay its arrival by a couple of days.

No ships to reach Gaza

No ships to reach Gaza

June 3, 2010     almost midnight in Israel

Prime minister Bibi Netanyahu tells 7 government ministers he has no intention of allowing any vessels to breach Gaza naval blockade, 'now or later';
referring to Rachel Corrie ship, en route to Israel, PM says: We'll direct it to Israeli port

Decisive message:
Israel will not allow any ships to reach the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Thursday, during a special session held by the forum of top seven government ministers.

The meeting was called in the wake of the deadly raid on a Gaza-bound vessel earlier in the week and the expected arrival of another ship, the Rachel Corrie, in the coming days.
However, the prime minister is still reportedly willing to show flexibility on Israel's blockade policy.

During Thursday's session, Netanyahu said: "We shall not allow the ships to reach Gaza. Not now and not later on.
We intend to direct the Rachel Corrie ship to the Ashdod Port and transfer its civilian goods to Gaza following a security check."

Officials expect no confrontation

(You didnt learn a lesson, Israel?!?!?!?)

Earlier, security officials estimated that activists aboard the Rachel Corrie will prefer to dock in Ashdod rather than to go on to Gaza.
Officials believe the activists will seek to transfer their goods via land, while collaborating with Israel.

"If this is not the case, we will do everything to stop them without casualties," a security official said. "We are engaging in negotiations with whoever is out there."

Earlier Thursday, PM Netanyahu met with Quartet Envoy Tony Blair and told him he's willing to examine "creative ways" to bring aid into Gaza, after the goods are examined.

Blair told the PM he noticed that in the latter's speech Wednesday he made a distinction between Israel's legitimate right to prevent arms smuggling and the transfer of civilian goods, which should be allowed to come in.

The prime minister confirmed, stressing that every ship that may be smuggling missiles and rockets must be inspected.

No Ships to Gaza, Netanyahu Tells Top Ministers
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the ministers that the Gaza-bound Irish ship "Rachel Corrie,"
and all other vessels, will not break Israel's blockade of Gaza, "not now and not in the future."

He said that the Rachel Corrie boat, now in Libyan waters about 400 miles from Israel and headed for Gaza,
will be re-directed to the Ashdod port, where any humanitarian aid on board will be transferred overland to Gaza.

Several news outlets said that Netanyahu would suggest “creative ideas” for inspecting ships claiming to carry aid for Gaza.
These ideas would reportedly involve the participation of United Nations crews in the inspection process. Inspections would take place in Ashdod harbor.

Earlier this week, IDF commandos' takeover of a Gaza-bound ship ended in a bloodbath, because the soldiers had been equipped and mentally prepared to deal with 'peace activists' and were surprised to find a group of armed thugs in their stead.

IDF sources said the ships in the convoy intercepted Monday were carrying spotted camouflage material, of the kind used to make military uniforms and to mask military positions.

Flotilla ‘Aid’ to Gaza Includes Expired Medicines

Flotilla ‘Aid’ to Gaza Includes Expired Medicines

Much of the equipment and supplies aboard the “humanitarian” ships for Gaza has been checked and found to be worthless.

The cargo was taken off the boats at the Ashdod port and checked there, in accordance with the Israeli embargo on Gaza. The embargo is an acceptable measure taken between entities that are in a state of armed conflict, as are Israel and Hamas-run Gaza.

the poor condition of the supplies renders most of it unusable. “This once again strengthens the evaluation that the intentions of the flotilla organizers were not humanitarian in the first place,” he said.

Many of the medicines are expired and/or came in an assorted, not easily organized manner. In addition, much of the equipment is in poor condition. Despite this, it is being taken to the Kerem Shalom crossing, and will be distributed in Gaza by human rights organizations.

Israel, despite the blockade, allows thousands of tons and food into Gaza each day.

Rachel Corrie ship to arrive in Gaza within 24 hours

Rachel Corrie to arrive in Gaza within 24 hours
June 4, 2010 -  Flotilla's legal advisor says aid ship headed for Hamas-ruled territory instructed to return to Ireland due to Israel's sabotage of accompanying vessels, but crew says voyage to continue as planned
Despite reports that the aid ship "Rachel Corrie" may turn back due to malfunctions discovered on two accompanying vessels that are carrying reporters, the aid ship's crew said Friday it is due to arrive in Gaza within 24 hours.

Earlier, Audrey Bomse, one of the organizers of the Gaza aid flotilla told Ynet that following Israel's sabotage of press vessels meant to follow the "Rachel Corrie" en route to the Hamas-ruled territory, her group intends on calling the vessel back to Ireland, pending repairs.

Bomse, the Free Gaza movement's legal advisor, noted that her group has not been able to contact the ship since late Thursday night, adding it may indicate that Israel sabotaged the radio system.

However, another activist aboard the "Rachel Corrie" said he was not aware of any change in the original plan and that the vessel is continuing its voyage to Gaza.

Bomse told Ynet that as the ship left Cyprus a malfunction was detected in two of the accompanying vessels, Challenger 1 and Challenger 2. She said Challenger 1, which carried reporters, sustained more severe damage that will take weeks to repair, and the organizers realized the vessel could not join the flotilla. At this point, Bomse said, the organizers instructed the "Rachel Corrie" to turn around. Challenger 2 is currently docked in Cyprus.

According to Bomse, Israel admitted to resorting to "grey" measures to stop the flotilla.

On Thursday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a special session held by the forum of top seven government ministers that Israel will not allow any ships to reach the Gaza Strip.

"We shall not allow the ships to reach Gaza. Not now and not later on. We intend to direct the Rachel Corrie ship to the Ashdod Port and transfer its civilian goods to Gaza following a security check," he said.

Meanwhile, Israeli security personnel are continuing to unload the humanitarian supplies from the Gaza-bound aid vessels that were seized Monday. The supplies include clothes, blankets, mattresses, and medicines, some of which have expired over a year ago.

Israel said the cargo also contained camouflage fabrics meant for Hamas terrorists in Gaza, adding that the Palestinians are continuing to delay the transfer of the supplies to Gaza.

A group of pro-Palestinian activists, including a Nobel Peace laureate from Northern Ireland, are aboard an aid ship heading for the Gaza Strip, and they expect to arrive there late Friday or early Saturday despite Israel's insistence that it will not allow any vessel to breach its blockade, according to multiple reports.

The MV Rachel Corrie, a 1,200-ton converted merchant ship purchased by pro-Palestinian activists, set off Monday from Malta, Reuters reports. The vessel is named after an American woman killed in the Gaza Strip in 2003.

Rabbis: Flotilla Clash Similar to Gog and Magog Prophecy

Rabbis: Flotilla Clash Similar to Gog and Magog Prophecy

The Rabbinical Council of Judea and Samaria issued a statement in which it said that the results of the incident in which Israel intercepted a flotilla trying to break the naval blockade of Gaza seem like the Biblical description of
"the beginning of the Gog and Magog process where the world is against us, but which ends with the third and final redemption."

The statement explained that while secular Zionism always wants Israel to be beloved by other nations, “the legitimacy of our people is not derived from the nations of the world and their poisonous traditions, rather from the Torah of Israel which teaches us that [Israel] 'is a people that shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations'" (Numbers 23:9). They emphasized that there is no reason to be alarmed by the world's condemnation as it is a predicted result of fear of Israel's success.

The Council blessed the soldiers of the IDF and called for the formation of an emergency unity government that will lead the nation from a position of strength.

The Council was formed by Rabbi Zalman Melamed of Beit El and includes leading religious Zionist rabbis who are the spiritual leaders of communities in Judea and Samaria.

'Gog and Magog' is a reference is to chapters 38 and 39 in the book of Ezekiel, a part of which is read on the intermediate Sabbath of Sukkot (Tabernacles). These chapters describe a vision of a war where the world is united against Israel that will precede the final redemption of Israel and the world. The prophecy's symbolism involves a prince called Gog of Magog, leader of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, who leads a coalition that includes Persia (Iran), Cush, Phut, Gomer, and Beit Togarmah against Israel. There are various opinions regarding the modern identity of these nations.

As a sampling of passages from Ezekiel 39 shows, the prophesy predicts that the coalition will be defeated by Israel, at a time following Israel's gathering from its exile:

And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say: Thus saith the Lord G-d: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; and I will turn thee about and lead thee on, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel; and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the peoples that are with thee; I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field, to be devoured.

Therefore thus saith the Lord G-d: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have compassion upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name. And they shall bear their shame, and all their breach of faith which they have committed against Me, when they shall dwell safely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations.

And they shall know that I am the Lord their G-d, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there; neither will I hide My face any more from them; for I have poured out My spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord G-d.'

The dramatic flotilla incident and the international reactions to it have sparked intense emotion, and unusual unity, among the Jewish public in Israel.  (IsraelNationalNews.com)

Israel says doesn't want clash with 'Rachel Corrie' ship

Israel says doesn't want clash with 'Rachel Corrie' ship

Foreign Ministry calls out to last flotilla ship en route to Gaza, asking it to sail directly to Ashdod. 'We have no interest in boarding ship,' statement says. 'If cargo contains no weapons we will convey it to Gaza'

The Foreign Ministry said Friday that Israel "has no interest in a confrontation" with activists on board the Irish vessel Rachel Corrie, currently making its way towards the Gaza Strip as part of the flotilla that arrived Monday.

If the Corrie sails directly to the Ashdod port, we will secure its crew and refrain from boarding it. Israel is prepared to receive the ship and unload its cargo. After it is checked to make sure it contains no weapons we will be prepared to transfer all of the goods to Gaza," he added.

Gal also invited the activists on board to accompany the shipment to the Gazan border. "We will cooperate with the UN and international organizations in order to ensure that all of the cargo is put to the use of Gaza's citizens," the statement said.

An Irish Nobel Peace Prize laureate on the ship, Mairead McGuire, said activists were determined to press on but would offer no resistance if Israeli forces came aboard.

"We will sit down," she told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from the ship. "They will probably arrest us ... But there will be no resistance."

Maguire told Irish radio RTE that though the crew realized Israel wanted them to sail the Rachel Corrie to Ashdod, they had no intention of doing so. She said their aim was "to break the siege on Gaza" and that they were not afraid. She added that Israel had not contacted the ship.

On Friday morning Audrey Bomse, one of the organizers of the Gaza aid flotilla, told Ynet that following Israel's sabotage of press vessels meant to follow the Rachel Corrie it would be recalled to Ireland and undergo repairs.

But Greta Berlin, of the Free Gaza Movement, told Ynet the ship would continue its route to Gaza and may arrive by Friday evening.

Bomse told Ynet that as the ship left Cyprus a malfunction was detected in two of the accompanying vessels, Challenger 1 and Challenger 2. According to her, Israel admitted to resorting to "grey" measures to stop the flotilla.

Turkish air, sea, land forces mass in northern Cyprus
Turkey and Israel on the Brink of War or New Ship Intifada?

Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a radical islamist and anti-Israel.

Turkish generals are drawing up plans to break Israel’s Gaza blockade and avenge 9 deaths, while Israel is bound by its war on terror to thwart them.

Debka sources reports that Turkish air, sea, land forces mass in northern Cyprus 150 km from Israel. It becomes clear that the personal involvement of Turkish PM Erdogan in the
Free Gaza Flotilla is his follow up on his verbal assault on Israeli president Shimon Peres in Davos, january 30, 2009 after Operation Cast Lead (the Gaza war, 2008/2009).
Erdogan is beating his drums of war on Israel.
The Gaza Flotilla was not about bringing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, but only to provoke Israel’s Navy and to breach the naval blockade to Gaza.
It was anticipated as a win-win situation for Turkey at the cost of 9 dead “suicide militants.”
Turkey’s sole aim is to delegitimize the state of Israel and to confirm the legitimacy of Hamas for the world leaders and to stage a new Middle East war.
And he will continue to do so in bringing more and bigger Turkish ships to Gaza. Israel walked into a Turkish trap.

Early Wednesday, June 2, US president Barack Obama stepped into the fast-deteriorating flotilla crisis to stop it from spinning out of control. In secret phone calls, he asked Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu to release all the remaining passengers without delay as well as the six ships. He then tried to reason with the incandescent Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan, who had just branded the Israeli raid a “bloody massacre.”

Offering deep condolences for the loss of life aboard the flotilla, the US president said better ways must be found to bring humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza without undermining Israel’s security. He supported the UN Security Council’s call for “a credible, impartial and transparent investigation” of the event, but refused to condemn Israel or take the inquiry out of its hands.2

Debkafile reports from Ankara that Erdogan declined to be talked round, declaring that if America did not punish Israel for insolently “trampling on human honor”, Turkey would.3

Israel is preparing for Ankara’s next steps that would defy President Obama’s bid to find a way out of the crisis between the two former allies. In Jerusalem, Erdogan’s accusations were deemed an unfounded and unjustified assault considering the evidence that he had consorted with terrorists, including an al Qaeda offshoot, to bring Israel under pressure in support of the Palestinian extremist Hamas.4

This evidence released by the IDF Monday night, June 01, described how the Turkish Marmara, the flotilla’s lead vessel, had been commandeered by terrorists indirectly supported by the Ankara government’s subsidy to the Turkish Insani Yardim Vakfi – IHH, which is listed by the American CIA as an al Qaeda-linked Islamist terrorist organization with bases in Turkey, Bosnia and Bulgaria.5

How did the Israel intelligence agencies than “missed spotting the terrorist presence aboard the putative aid-for-Gaza convoy and let a naval force undertake the mission to divert the ships to Ashdod, without preparing them for a violent confrontation with a determined, well-organized group of violent men?

Those passengers attested to more than a hundred members of terrorist organizations aboard acting like a quasi-military group with a command hierarchy, whose leader forced the other four or five hundred passengers to fall into line behind them. The group was split into sub-sections, each in charge of a section of the ship before and after it set sail from Istanbul. Its members were all armed with an assortment of chains, iron bars and knives as well as night goggles and gas masks.7

Although they appeared to hail from different terrorist organizations from various countries, they were all ordered to say they belonged to the IHH. The group kept the ship to a strict military regiment, including round-the-clock guards in the different sections of the Marmara.8

Each had an envelope stuffed with thousands of dollars.9

Debkafile’s intelligence sources disclose that, when first brought in, the Turkish terror activists refused to answer questions. By Tuesday nightfall, a few began talking and admitted to being members of IHH and its ties with al Qaeda’s Balkan outfit. Throughout the interrogations, Israel intelligence was in contact with colleagues in Western services for help to identify them by means of fingerprints and other physical features. Our counter-terror sources report that Israel must now decide whether to prosecute some of the activists, including Israeli Arabs, on board the Marmara, on charges of collaborating with an international terrorist organization.10

After surrendering to Turkey’s ultimatum to release all the passengers, including the seven members of Islamist terrorist groups who assaulted the Israeli boarding party, debkafile reports the Netanyahu government faced a fresh ultimatum from Ankara: Lift the Gaza blockade at once. In his televised message to the nation Wednesday night , Netanyahu pledged “to continue to uphold our right to self-defense against terror.”11

Furthermore, the Irish vessel Rachel Corrie, which was left out of the flotilla after it developed technical trouble, was discovered to have changed course from a direct route to Gaza and headed for a stopover at a Turkish port. debkafile’s counter-terror sources disclose suspicions in the Israeli government and naval command that the Irish ship would take aboard a new batch of trained Turkish IHH terrorists and head for the Gaza Strip. They might even be the same IHH activists who attacked Israeli commandos on the Marmara and were deported Wednesday.12

Erdogan has resolved that this group which he personally sponsored will reach Gaza Port by hook or by crook. It is also feared in Jerusalem that he may attach an escort of Turkish warships and air force jets to accompany the Rachel Corrie and make sure the ship breaks through the blockade to its destination.13

The Irish ship was first scheduled to anchor Saturday, June 5, but its detour to Turkey will delay its arrival by a couple of days.14

According to a STRATFOR source, one Turkish patrol ship is circling the area near the Gaza coast, but is not entering Israeli territorial waters. There is no sign yet of readiness on the part of the Turkish navy to provide escorts to aid ships making their way to the Gaza coast. The source indicated that the patrol ship is only in observation mode for the time being.15

When it comes to war between Turkey and Israel, what about NATO? Turkey is member of the NATO since 1952 and is an important ally of the NATO in the War on Terror.

Article 5, the cornerstone of the alliance, says ”an armed attack” against any of the allies in Europe or North America ‘’shall be considered an attack against them all.” It commits NATO members to take the necessary measures, including the use of force, to restore security.

At the same time, Turkey has recently become part of the Syria-Iran-Hizballah-Hamas bloc and when war breaks out between Turkey and Israel, they will not sit by and do nothing. Israel could be faced with a northern front in Israel, Lebanon (Hizballah) and Syria as well, and in de Gaza Strip with Hamas. And than there’s the possibility of a new Intifada within the Israeli borders and the West Bank.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again threatened Israel with destruction for any action it may take anywhere and its Western supporters with international trial as war criminals.16 Iranian President Ahmadinejad “vowed Friday to keep supporting the Palestinian militant group Hamas until the “collapse of Israel.” Given the close ties between Iran and Hamas, it would be irrational simply to dismiss the possibility that Iran (once it has a nuclear weapons capability) would contribute to that collapse by supplying Hamas with a suitable tactical nuclear device.17

Israel urges ship to divert course

Israel urges ship to divert course

June 4, 2010   18:51    Israel NEWS

Free Gaza founder says 'Rachel Corrie' won't cede to request.

In a last minute effort to avoid a naval raid on the Gaza bound ship Rachel Corrie, the Foreign Ministry Friday urged the activists on board to change course and head for the Israeli port of Ashdod.

The ship is expected to close in on Gaza Saturday morning. It's the second attempt this week by the Free Gaza Movement to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza as well as its closure of that area's land passages to all but humanitarian aid.

On Monday morning, nine activists were killed during an IDF sea raid of the Free Gaza Movement's flotilla of six ships which had wanted to reach the Gaza shore.

"I want to once again deliver a message that has been delivered in both public and private channels to the Rachel Corrie ship heading toward Gaza," Foreign Ministry Director General Yossi Gal said in a statement he released to the press.

He also held a short press conference for the foreign media to deliver the message on camera at the instruction of the septet forum of senior cabinet members which met late Thursday night.

The cabinet agreed that Israel must maintain the naval blockade of Gaza so that it could prevent Iran and terrorists groups such as Hizbullah from sending weapons to Hamas.

Israel's navy is prepared to intercept the ship and Netanyahu has instructed it not to harm the activists.

The Foreign Ministry said it hoped the activists on board would reconsider their position.

"We have no desire for a confrontation," said Gal. "We have no desire to board the ship. If the ship decides to sail the port of Ashdod, then we will ensure its safe arrival and will not board it," he said.

"Israel is prepared to receive the ship and to offload its contents. After an inspection to ensure that no weapons and war materials are on board, we are prepared to deliver all of the goods to Gaza," Gal said.

"Representative of the people on board and relevant NGOs are welcome to accompany the goods to the crossings," he said.

Free Gaza co-founder: We won't cede to Israel's request

Greta Berlin, a co-founder of the Free Gaza movement, said those on board the ship had no intention of ceding to Israel's request. Nor, she said, were they impressed by Netanyahu's statements Thursday to UN Middle East envoy Tony Blair, in which he promised to increase the amount and variety of goods which could enter Gaza by land.

"We do not trust Israel anymore," said Berlin.

"Our mission is to break the blockade of Gaza," she told The Jerusalem Post. Unlike the six ship flotilla which had close to 700 people, the Rachel Corrie, she said, had only 20 people on board. These people are all non-violent, she added.

The Foreign Ministry in Ireland said it had been in touch with the Israeli government regarding the rights of its citizens on board the ship, but did not elaborate.

In Washington, the State Department said US officials had been in touch with "multiple" countries, including the Israeli and Irish governments, about the latest effort to reach Gaza by boat.

"Everyone wants to avoid a repetition of [Monday's] tragic incident," spokesman P.J. Crowley said. He added that the US had been in contact numerous times with Israeli authorities in recent weeks. "We urged caution and restraint," he said.

International condemnation continued Friday, with protests in Syria, Greece, Bahrain and Malaysia, where some demonstrators burned Israeli flags and carried mock coffins. In Norway, the military canceled a seminar scheduled for later this month because an Israeli army officer was to have lectured.

Nobel laureate, former UN assistant head on board ship

Israel has allowed ships through five times, but has blocked them from entering Gaza waters since a three-week military offensive against Gaza's Hamas rulers in January 2009.

Israeli claims that went it intercepted Monday's flotilla of ships activists on one of them, the Marmara, ambushed the soldiers after they descended onto the board from helicopters. The military and Turkish TV have released videotape that backs up that claim. Returning activists admitted fighting with the Israeli commandos but insisted their actions were in self-defense because the ships were being boarded in international waters by a military force.

The Marmara, which was carrying hundreds of activists sponsored by an Islamic aid group from Turkey, the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedom and Humanitarian Relief. Israel outlawed the group, known by its Turkish acronym IHH, in 2008 because of alleged ties to Hamas.

The Rachel Corrie is owned by the Free Gaza Movement. It set sail from Ireland. It is flying a Cambodian flag and is funded by money raised by a former prime minister of Malaysia. Among the passengers are two well known Irish citizens, Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire and Denis Halliday, a former UN assistant secretary-general. Also on board are  Malaysian journalists, a member of its parliament and a former political secretary.

Rachel Corrie rejects docking at Ashdod

Their aim is to break the siege on Gaza.

THERE IS NO SEIGE OF GAZA!

Dublin Ireland says reached deal with Israel by which Corrie ship would dock at Ashdod, but crew refused.

The Corrie crew indicated that they are ready to accept inspection of their cargo at sea, prior to docking in Gaza.
I dont believe Israel shd let the camel's nose under the tent!

Israel is not willing to allow any breach of their naval blockade of Gaza.  GOOD.

Israeli troops board the Corrie after 4 calls ignored

Israeli troops board the Corrie after 4 calls ignored

That idiot Obama and world press keep calling May 30th a 'tragic incident.'
It was NOT tragic!  Suicide terrorists challenge Israel and die.  That is not tragedy, that is justice!

Perhaps the REASON Israel intercepts the ships outside Israel's territorial waters is because the ships intended to enter Gaza territorial waters, which would cause a whole new problem.
PLUS nearer to Gaza the Hamas terrorists in their boats would join the Corrie.

A lot of foolish ignorant trash talk on debka link.  Gaza does not need aid, those Hamas simply want the freedom to dock shiploads of weapons from Iran.

Israeli troops board Rachel Corrie after 4 calls ignored.
Erdogan may join next flotilla
Won't be deflected from challenging Gaza blockade

After 4 calls to change course from Gaza to Ashdod were ignored, Israeli troops boarded the Rachel Corrie 28 miles out to sea and are sailing it to the Israeli port of Ashdod
after the ship's pro-Hamas passengers stood by their determination to break the Israeli blockade.  No injuries were reported.

The Israeli Navy has orders to keep the ship from entering Gaza and the pro-Hamas activists aboard the ship reached its climax.
Israeli calls transmitted to the Rachel Corrie with her 20 passengers ever since dawn met with no response.

Turkish PM Erdogan is considering being part of the next flotilla and using his navy to break the blockade on the assumption that Israel would not dare stop him.

The Corrie rejected a deal to allow Israeli inspection of the cargo before sending it to Gaza

Foolish Turkey demands Israel apologize for their May 30 commando raid on the terrorist flotilla for Gaza.  FACT - It is Turkey who owes Israel an apology!

Erdogan said Hamas is not a terrorist organization. What a fool.

Sweden ports to block Israel ships

SHAME on ALL of YOU!
You are cursing your nations by defending terrorists against Israel!

June 5, 2010

Week-long ban is initiated by Swedish Port Workers Union, who says act is reaction to the 'unprecedented criminal attack on the peaceful ship convoy.'

Swedish dockworkers will launch a weeklong blockade of Israeli ships and goods arriving in the Nordic nation to protest Monday's attack on a Gaza-destined aid flotilla.

Nine activists died after Israeli troops intercepted the convoy.

Swedish Port Workers Union spokesman Peter Annerback says workers will refuse to handle Israeli goods and ships during the June 15-24 blockade.
The union has some 1,500 members and supports Ship to Gaza, which took part in the flotilla.

It says the reason for the blockade is "the unprecedented criminal attack on the peaceful ship convoy."

It was unclear Saturday how much the blockade would affect trade between the two countries since the union still needs to identify cargos with Israeli origin.

Australia

Earlier Saturday, thousands of Australian demonstrators flocked to Sydney's Town Hall Saturday to protest Israel's lethal raid on a flotilla headed for Gaza last week.

An Israeli flag was burnt as demonstrators mostly from Sydney's large Turkish and Lebanese communities railed against the Jewish state.

Huseyin Erbis, 28, told Australia's AAP news agency that Israel deserved international censure for the blockade of Gaza and its effect on Palestinians.

"They criticize the Muslims but really our prophet was always kind to the Jewish people," he said.

The Sydney protest was replicated in cities around Australia.

New Zealand

Anti-U.S., Israel demonstrations had also taken palce in several New Zealand cities, as Pro-Palestinian protestors set fire to flags of
Israel and the United States.

The throwing of shoes has become a symbol of opposition to US and Israeli policy in the Middle East,
following the example of an Iraqi journalist who threw one at then-president George W Bush during a press conference in December 2008.

"The sole of the shoe is dirty and holding it up that to a person or a place is an insult," John Minto, protest leader of the Global Peace and Justice organisation, told reporters.

He said it was the Middle East equivalent of the biggest traditional insult of New Zealand's indigenous Maoris - baring the buttocks

Up to 300 protestors marched through Auckland urging the government to expel Israel's ambassador in protest at last week's action by Israeli forces against a peace flotilla en route to Gaza.

Similar demonstrations were reported in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

White House linked to flotilla organizers

White House linked to flotilla organizers

Israel official ties president's adviser to controversial 'Free Gaza Movement'

June 05, 2010       Jerome R. Corsi

John Brennan, top adviser to President Obama is the contact person within the White House for communications with the Free Gaza Movement over
plans to challenge Israel's blockade of the terrorist Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to a reputable source close to the Netanyahu government.

The source, a career official whose reliability was established through his tips for the book, "Why Israel Can't Wait," identified John O. Brennan, deputy national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism, as the contact.

The allegation raises the bizarre possibility that the Free Gaza Movement's flotilla action in the Mediterranean was being coordinated with the White House, something that would align with a shift in U.S. policy toward Israel being debated within the Obama administration.

Mike Hammer, a National Security Council spokesman, told WND flatly the report "is not true."  (Hammer is anti-Israel)

His response was followed quickly by another denial, when WND asked if Hammer also rejected the claim Brenner was a key force within the White House pushing for a change in U.S. policy toward Israel in demanding an end to the blockade.

"John Brennan is quite busy in his job as the president's counterterrorism and homeland security adviser, relentlessly working to keep the country safe," Hammer said in a e-mail to WND. "The administration has others who are responsible for our Middle East policy. So, again, not true."

However, Brennan's activities in his "counterterrorism" work have involved him in situations with domestic groups known to have ties to Middle East terrorism.

Brennan participated in a meeting with Muslim law students, facilitated by the Islamic Society of North America, a group that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a case where the founders of the Holy Land Foundation of Texas were given life sentences "for funneling $12 million" to Hamas, the group currently in political control of Gaza.

At a meeting with Muslim law students at New York University, Brennan declared himself a "citizen of the world" who believed the United States government should never engage in "profiling" in pursuit of national security.

The New York Times reported this week that the Obama administration's policy toward Israel was changing in a re-evaluation that now considers Israel's blockade of Gaza to be untenable. But Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted in a special press conference in his office Thursday that "Israel will not apologize for defending itself," which strongly suggested Israel fully intends to continue its blockade.

Brennan tilts toward Islam

In a speech delivered Aug. 9, 2009, to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and archived on the White House website, Brennan commented that using "a legitimate term, 'jihad,' meaning to purify oneself or to wage a holy struggle for a moral goal" to describe terrorists "risks reinforcing the idea that the United States is somehow at war with Islam itself."

In reporting on Brennan’s speech to the CSIS, WND noted his specific advice regarding the Middle East, namely, that U.S. foreign policy should encourage greater assimilation of the Hezbollah terrorist organization into the Lebanese government.

In a July 2008 article in The Annals, a publication of the American Academy of Political and Social Sciences, Brennan argued it "would not be foolhardy, however, for the United States to tolerate, and even to encourage, greater assimilation of Hezbollah into Lebanon's political system, a process that is subject to Iranian influence."

Continued Brennan: "Hezbollah is already represented in the Lebanese parliament and its members have previously served in the Lebanese cabinet, reflections of Hezbollah's interest in shaping Lebanon's political future from within government institutions. This involvement is a far cry from Hezbollah's genesis as solely a terrorist organization dedicated to murder, kidnapping and violence."

At the August 2009 press conference for the CSIS, Brennan declared, "Hezbollah started out as purely a terrorist organization back in the early '80s and has evolved significantly over time. And now it has members of parliament, in the cabinet; there are lawyers, doctors, others who are part of the Hezbollah organization."

Middle Eastern terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah frequently maintain civilian units of doctors and lawyers so as to emphasize their outreach with local politicians and increase their political acceptance in the international arena.

Conceivably, the Istanbul-based Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief, better known by the Turkish acronym IHH, would fit Brennan's definition of the charitable side of organizations such as Hezbollah, despite IHH's ties to al-Qaida that have been documented by experts such as former investigating judge Jean-Louis Bruguiere, who led the French judiciary's counter-terrorism unit for nearly two decades before retiring in 2007.

The IHH, in fact, is not included on the U.S. State Department's current list of 45 groups designated as foreign terrorist organizations. Both Hezbollah and Hamas are listed.

In his speech to the New York University law school students posted on YouTube by the White House, Brennan included a lengthy statement in Arabic that he did not translate for his English-speaking audience.

Noting that he spent time spent as an undergraduate with the American University in Cairo during the 1970s, Brennan proceeded to use only the Arabic name "Al Quds" when referring to Jerusalem, commenting that during his 25 years in government he spent considerable time in the Middle East, as a political officer with the State Department and as a CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia.

"In Saudi Arabia, I saw how our Saudi partners fulfilled their duty as custodians of the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina," he said. "I marveled at the majesty of the hajj and the devotion of those who fulfilled their duty as Muslims of making that pilgrimage."

Obama's Chicago radical pals at center of Free Gaza Movement

Weather Underground terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Jodie Evans, the leader of the radical activist organization Code Pink, were top supporters of the Free Gaza Movement, a coalition of leftist U.S. activists and pro-Palestinian groups that organized the six-ship flotilla that attempted to run the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

Obama began his political career in Chicago at a 1995 fundraiser held in the Chicago apartment of Ayers and Dohrn, held to introduce Obama as the candidate hand-picked to run for the Illinois Senate seat held by admitted communist Alice Palmer when she decided to step aside to run that year for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Ayers, Dohrn and Evans were involved in provoking chaos on the streets of Egypt in an attempt to enter Hamas-controlled Gaza with the Free Gaza Movement to join in solidarity with Gaza's population and leadership.

               Seized ship enters Ashdod Port

June 5   19:24

The Corrie ship, with 19 Irish activists and a Malaysian crew on board, entered the Ashdod Port Saturday afternoon accompanied by Navy ships.
The Rachel Corrie takeover ended in 5 minute

Navy commandoes boarded the ship in a peaceful operation and without any injuries. Activists on the ship displayed no resistance and even offered a ladder to the soldiers.
The IDF utilized electronic shielding to paralyze communications on the seized vessel.

'Regarding additional ships, we have no concrete information.'

Addressing the possibility that Turkey will initiate additional Gaza-bound flotillas, accompanied by Turkish missile boats, the official said
'Its clear to all of us that this would be a diplomatic incident with major implications. I won't voice an opinion on the matter.'

Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Bypasses Fatah Members

THIS MAY ONLY BE FOR SHOW.... FAKE.  DONT BE FOOLED!
BOTH HAMAS AND FATAH (Abbas) are terrorists, but Abbas deals with the USA.
This may only be designed to anger and outrage.  IT DOES show the UN favors terrorists.
Pretty much all NEWS sources are dishonest also

June 6, 2010      IsraelNationalNews.com

Hamas is using its stranglehold on Gaza to prevent humanitarian aid from reaching supporters of the rival Fatah party, according to the German newspaper Der Spiegel.

Previous reports have revealed that Hamas confiscates some of the aid and equipment that reaches Gaza for its own terrorist organization and army.
It has also confiscated tens of thousands of dollars from Gaza banks and sold them on the black market.

The terrorist organization routinely uses the tunnel smuggling system to extort high taxes and control the target destination of supplies.

Der Spiegel provided evidence that Hamas also keeps aid from reaching Gazan members of Fatah, which is based in Judea and Samaria under Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
His powers were stripped in the bloody war three years between the parties’ militias.

Fatah Supporter: We Get Nothing

The newspaper quoted Gaza resident and Fatah supporter Zaed Khadar as saying, “People who are not in with Hamas don't see any of the relief goods or the gifts of money.
Hamas supporters get pre-fabricated housing, furnishings and paid work. We get nothing.”

His neighbor, Hamas supporter Aderauf al-Batsch, received a brand new house as a gift from de facto Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas. Al Batsch claimed,
"The construction ministry held a lottery to win a new home. And I just happened to be the winner. Sometimes in life you get lucky.”

Even Hamas supporters were not able to receive aid last week, after Hamas temporarily refused to allow Israeli authorities to transfer overland the
goods and commodities that were on the flotilla, whose organizers tried to sail to Gaza to break the Israeli sea embargo.

"We will not take any bloodstained aid. If we accept the delivery of aid then we are legitimizing Israel's violent actions," Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan told Der Spiegel.

However, Hamas left itself off the hook by saying it would allow the aid to enter Gaza if Turkey requested the movement of goods for Gaza residents.

Turkish troops deployed in Cyprus

Turkish troops deployed in Cyprus
TURKEY  -  Dangerous Enemy of Israel

Sunday, June 06, 2010   /     Sivan 24, 5770
  DEBKA

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan is clearly spoiling for more trouble with Israel. This is manifested by the steps which are revealed here by debkafile's military and intelligence sources.
The peaceful outcome of the Rachel Corrie incident Saturday, June 5, and Israel's efforts to keep the crisis under control have had no effect on his determination to raise rather than de-escalate Turkish-Israeli friction.

Friday, Erdogan made sure his close aides leaked word to the media that he was preparing a large wave of flotillas to challenge Israel's blockade, to be escorted next time by armed Turkish warships with himself possibly on board.

To this, our sources add:

1. The prime minister's office in Ankara is forking out millions of dollars to the IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi), the Istanbul-based terrorist group linked to al Qaeda and Hamas, with orders to purchase 8-10 large ships for a formidable fleet to challenge the Israeli Navy and its enforcement of the 20-mile blockade of the Gaza Strip.

This is the second time he is recruiting the IHH terrorists who assaulted Israeli commandos boarding the Mavi Marmara on May 31, leaving nine people dead and 45 injured in consequence.

The Washington Post Sunday called for the Erdogan's government's ties to the IHH to be one focus of any international investigation into the Marmara incident, pointing to its support for Hamas,
which the United States has named as a terrorist entity. The paper called foreign minister Ahmet Davutogolu's statement that the Israeli attack "is like 9/11 for Turkey" obscene.

2. Last week, ahead of the Marmara incident, Erdogan began deploying at the Turkish end of Cyprus air, naval and marine units, holding them ready to combat Israeli takeovers of Gaza-bound vessels. He was only restrained from sending them into action by the last-minute intervention of President Barack Obama's NSA James Jones and President Nicolas Sarkozy's chef de bureau who, according to debkafile's Washington and Paris sources, threatened him with isolation in NATO and Europe if he went ahead.

Saturday, the Turkish leader had his aides leak to the media that he was seriously thinking of leading the next flotilla in person to dramatize his confrontation with Israel.

3. At home, the Turkish prime minister shored up his intelligence ranks ahead of his planned showdown with Israel, replacing professional directors for the first time in modern Turkish history with civilians, radical Muslims close to him personally.

debkafile names them for the first time here as Hakan Fidan, the former head of TIKA, the Turkish International & Development Agency, who is appointed head of the Central Turkish Intelligence Agency - MIT,
the equivalent of the Israel Mossad; and Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler, who is the new Undersecretary for Public Order and Security, who in fact directs Turkey's special operations against terrorists.

By these appointments, the Turkish prime minister put paid to any lingering hopes still cherished by some circles in Israel of preserving the long-held back channels to Ankara.

And finally, Turkey's state prosecutors are instructed to prepare charges of murder and piracy on the high seas against Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu,
defense minister Ehud Barak and chief of staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazy.

Iran offers to provide military escort
June 6, 2010
- IRAN!  Its hard not to laugh!  But it would NOT be funny!
Iran offers to provide military escort to cargo ships trying to break Israeli Gaza blockade.
This is no surprise.  Turkey has been aligning with Iran and Syria against Israel for several months.

Netanyahu: Israel will NOT allow establishment of Iranian port in Gaza
PM says passengers on Gaza bound ship Rachel Corrie were peace activists, as opposed to violent clashes with 'Islamic radicals' on Gaza flotilla earlier this week.

Speaking after he was updated Saturday on the peaceful takeover of the Gaza bound aid ship "Rachel Corrie," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would "not allow the establishment of an Iranian port in Gaza."

Cruise missiles in shipping boxes

Cruise missiles in shipping boxes

Remember back in April there was in the news about the Russians having a missile they can launch from cargo ship containers.

There was fear that terrorist would be sold these weapons for a surprise attack against the west.

This would be a perfect opportunity for Iran to start an attack against Israel.

A cruise missile in a shipping box on sale to rogue bidders
Defence experts are warning of a new danger of ballistic weapons proliferation after a Russian company started marketing a cruise missile that can be launched from a shipping container.

Club - K container missile system. Stills from an animated film being used to market a missile system that allows cruise missles to be launched from a freight container.
This can be loaded onto a lorry, ship, or train as desired tomove into position before launching missiles

It is feared that the covert Club-K missile attack system could prove "game-changing" in fighting wars with small countries, which would gain a remote capacity to mount multiple missiles on boats, trucks or railways.

Iran and Venezuela have already shown an interest in the Club-K Container Missile System which could allow them to carry out pre-emptive strikes from behind an enemy's missile defences.

Israel, Turkey, Gaza in covert sea war

Israel, Turkey, Gaza in covert sea war

Well news FINALLY caught up to me!
 Very Happy

Monday, June 07, 2010   /     Sivan 25, 5770    DEBKAfile Exclusive

The Israeli commando raid on a Turkish ferry heading to break the Gaza blockade, in which 9 activists were killed, is turning out a week later to have kicked off a semi-clandestine sea war between Israel, Turkey and the Gaza-based Hamas.

June 7, Hamas frogmen were on their way to a large-scale attack on an Israeli target when their boat was intercepted by Israeli commandos and  armed Palestinians killed.
Turkey is investigating suspicions of Israel's hand behind a deadly Kurdish terrorist attack on its Iskenderun base on May 31.

Our military sources disclose Iskenderun's quietly growing role in the last two months as a military hub in potential confrontations by Syria and Hizballah with Israel.
In mid-May, Turkey moved anti-air missile batteries into the port to defend targets in Syria and Lebanon against potential Israeli air strikes from the eastern Mediterranean.
This is the first time Ankara has provided Syria and Hizballah with an air defense umbrella and come down on their side in their conflict with Israel.

Some hours after Israeli commandos clashed with armed men aboard the Mavi Marmara,
Kurdish PKK rebel fighters attacked the Turkish naval base at Iskenderun on the Syrian border, killing seven Turkish seamen and injuring another six.
If Ankara can prove its suspicions, it will be able to claim that Israel is involved by proxy in terrorist attacks on Turkish soil.
Diplomatic relations still in force despite the frictions between the two countries will then be severed, one step before a declaration of war.

Following the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan's fiery abuse of Israel, Interior Minister Besir Atalay said Sunday, June 6: "We have been working hard, especially to ascertain what happened in the Iskenderun incident."
Local media have suggested he is looking for Israeli covert invovlement in the planning and execution of the deadly attack on the Turkish naval base in revenge for the violence on the Marmara against the Israeli naval boarding party.

Early Monday, June 7, an Israeli Navy Commando force intercepted a large group of armed Palestinian frogmen, members of the Hamas sea commando, on their way from the Gaza Strip to the Israeli shore to the north early Monday, June 7.
Palestinian sources confirmed at least four wet-suited terrorists were killed, and another four were missing in the wake of a shootout in the Nahal Aza area of the Gaza Strip near Nuseirat between their boat and Israeli troops.

The IDF spokesman reported there were no Israeli casualties. debkafile's military sources report the Hamas seaborne unit aimed to prove itself capable by striking an Israeli target of retaliating for the thwarting of the Turkish-led campaign to break the Gaza blockade.

Shortly afterwards, a Palestinian Qassam missile squad was spotted on land near Jebalya preparing to fire into Israel. It was knocked out by the Israeli Air force.

Cross-fire from Gaza on Israeli border patrols is frequent, almost daily and Hamas still launches several Qassam missiles and mortar bombs into Israel every week,
but attempts attacks by Hamas or related groups from the sea are a new development.

Flotilla raid step towards Israel's annihilation, said IRAN

Ahmadinejad: Flotilla raid step towards Israel's annihilation

Tuesday, June 08, 2010   /     Sivan 26, 5770
      ynet

Iranian president tells worshippers at Istanbul mosque, 'Turkey, Iran are brother nations' says Israel 'creating crimes that have been unprecedented in history of mankind'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke before worshippers at the end of a prayer service at an Istanbul mosque on Monday, and said the "Zionist regime's'" recent raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla is a major step towards its total annihilation, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

The IRNA report demonstrates a more extreme tone than the one expressed earlier by Ahmadinejad in an interview to a French television station, in which he said the soldiers involved in the raid should be prosecuted for their "inhumane" conduct.

Ahmadinejad arrived in Istanbul to attend an international summit hosted by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Turkey is the Iranian leader's first stop in a series of visits around the world, possibly in an attempt to prevent a fourth round of sanctions against his country. He is also slated to visit China – a permanent UN Security Council member with a veto right.

“The materialist powers have imposed the Zionist regime resorting to military force against the world nations, particularly against the Middle East and regional nations, and they have thus been creating many unmatched crimes in the course of sixty some years of its history, that have been unprecedented in the history of mankind, the last of which has been invading the Gaza Peace Flotilla," the Iranian president told the crowd, which responded with applause and chanted "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".

Ahmadinejad thanked the government in Ankara and the Turkish people, and described Turkey and Iran as "brother nations" and said the two countries are the “standard bearers of humanity and moralities.”

He stressed that “everyone should know that the relations between the two countries are friendly brotherly and deep rooted today and that the two countries will stand side by side till the end of the line.”

“The future of the two countries is bright and their victory in the campaign against the oppressors is near, after which we will all attend the celebrations for our victory," he added.

Earlier, Ahmadinejad gave an interview to the French television station TF1, in which he criticized the Israeli raid on the Gaza flotilla. "What happened there was inhumane and intolerable. Nowhere on earth do humanitarian activists come under military attack," he said, adding that the soldiers who took part in the operation should stand trial.

American blog exposes two pictures initially issued by IHH group, later distributed by British news agency and cropped to conceal pool of blood, knives held by 'peace activists'

British news agency Reuters has cropped out knives and blood traces from at least two photos distributed by the IHH organization and showing the Navy raid on the Gaza-bound Marmara ship, the "Little Green Footballs" blog claimed.

Photos released by Turkish daily Hurriyet were distributed to foreign media by the news agencies. While Associated Press issued the photos untouched, Reuters cut the pictures thereby concealing the image of one of the boat's assailants holding a knife as well as a pool of blood.

"That’s a very interesting way to crop the photo," the blog stated. "Most people would consider that knife an important part of the context. Cropping out a knife, in a picture showing a soldier who’s apparently been stabbed, seems like a very odd editorial decision. Unless someone was trying to hide it."

In a later post, the blog shows a second photo which appeared to have been cropped as well. In this case too a knife held by one of the attackers was edited out.

"Now we have two pictures from the 'peace activists' that were cropped by someone at Reuters to remove knives in the hands of the activists, as they attempted to take soldiers hostage," the blog noted.

In response Reuters stressed that they did not intentionally edit the photos but innocently cut them in way that left the margins out. The agency also removed the photos from its server and replaced them with the pictures in their original form.

This is not the first instance in which Reuters has been found tampering with pictures. During the Second Lebanon War the news agency admitted to graphically editing a picture of Lebanon and adding in smoke above the houses shown. The Little Green Footballs blog exposed the matter in that case too.

Reuters selectively cropping photo, editing images to improve depiction of Muslim attackers

Is Reuters cropping news photos to improve the image of Muslim flotilla attackers?

Activists on a six-ship flotilla headed to the Gaza Strip had planned to lynch the Israeli commandos who stormed the ship, according to indications at the scene encountered by Israeli forces.

Israeli navy commandos raided the flotilla, encountering heavy resistance and live fire from the activists. Several activists were killed and dozens were reportedly injured, as were several of the Israeli commandos.

During the boarding of one of the ships, the Marmara, pro-Palestinian activists onboard attacked Israel Defense Forces Naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs, an IDF spokesperson said.

Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs spotted the purported alteration after comparing one photo released by Islamist website IHH to another released by Reuters.

The following May 31 photo of a bloody Israeli commando being taken hostage aboard the Marmara appeared on IHH. A knife can be seen on the right side as well as the bloody hand of another wounded person:

One of the "peace activists" can be seen holding a knife.
Reuters ran the photo June 6, cropping the knife out of the picture.

Iran's Gaza-bound ships ready for clash with Israel

Iran's Gaza-bound ships ready for clash with Israel

June 8, 2010        debka

An Iranian sea convoy will back up the Turkish campaign to break Israel's blockade of Gaza.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad assured Turkish leaders whom he met in Istanbul Tuesday, Jan. 8 that the vessels due to enter the disputed waters within days will not shrink from a head-on clash with Israel's Navy and Air Force exclusion forces.
"We'll breach the Gaza blockade," the Iranian president vowed. The Iranian Red Crescent vessels will carry "volunteer marines" of the Revolutionary Guards "who will teach the Israelis a lesson."

Tehran's "humanitarian convoy" for Gaza will consist of three Iranian vessels flying Red Crescent flags.

He promised Turkish leaders to attach Iranian warships and submarines to the Red Crescent ships for their voyage through the Red Sea, the Suez Canal and into the Mediterranean. For some months, one or two Iranian submarines have been deployed in the Mediterranean using Syrian naval port facilities.

The showdown between Turkey and Israel, said Ahmadinejad, "will change many issues in the world and mark the final countdown for Israel's existence. It shows that it has no room in the region and no one is ready to live alongside it."

British Foreign Secretary William Hague condemned Iran’s plan to send aid boats to Gaza, warning that the move would deliberately aggravate an already tense situation. “It is not helpful, and probably it is not designed to be helpful, he said.

Russian Prime Pinister Vladimir Putin, for his part, promised to join Ankara in bringing the Israeli attack on the Turkish flotilla before the United Nations.

The Iranian and Turkish leaders meeting in Istanbul Monday and Tuesday  finalized a plan to synchronize the flotilla's approach to Gaza's shores with the UN Security Council vote on sanctions against Iran, whereupon Turkey, Brazil and Lebanon, who are SC members, will halt the procedure and turn the session around to the unfolding sea battle between Iran and Israel. The sanctions vote will be buried by the sounds of war.

Monday, June 7, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton predicted "Iran would pull some stunt in the next couple of days" to divert attention from the unity within the Security Council.

According to our sources, the Iranian convoy will consist of a cargo ship loaded with food and other essentials, medicines and building materials; the second will carry the "volunteer" marines; and the third will be a floating hospital to be anchored permanently in Egyptian Mediterranean territorial waters opposite the divided Gaza-Egyptian town of Rafah. Small boats will ferry patients between Gaza and the hospital ship.

Tehran calculates that the Israeli navy will not attack boats carrying sick people and will be constrained from venturing into Egyptian territorial waters to hit the floating hospital. By this means, Tehran will dismantle Israel's sea blockade while also gaining a military presence off the shores of Gaza.

AS details of this scheme are drawn up in Istanbul, Israeli leaders are spending hour of hour, day after day, quibbling over the format of an inquiry commission for studying the legal aspects of the hapless commando raid they ordered against the Mavi Marmara on May 31.

Have they formed any plans for countering the Iranian-Turkish scheme to drive Tehran's flotilla through the Gaza blockade? And if so, where will the interception take place? On the Red Sea, where the Iranian Navy has a large presence, at the entrance to the Gulf of Suez or close to Gaza?
An Israel operation against Iranian vessels on any of these sea lanes would pose formidable difficulties.

Iranian ships ready to sail to Gaza

Iranian ships ready to sail to Gaza

June 13, 2010, Sunday   |    1 Tammuz, 5770

I have been waiting for this news.  Originally they said they'd arrive LAST WEEK.
I thot we should just take out Iran leadership.  I didnt think the Persian people wanted war. 100,000 indicates they DO.  sad.  Sad

The Iranian Red Crescent has equipped and loaded 2 ships with aid, and is waiting for permission from the Iranian Foreign Ministry to set sail for Gaza, AFP reported on Sunday.
A third ship is planned for next week.

An Iranian Red Crescent official, Mojtaba Majd, said that over 100,000 Iranians have volunteered to sail on the ships.
He said that the problems involved may prevent Iran from sending volunteers, however "the important issue is that the people of Gaza know that more than 100,000 Iranians are ready to come to their help."

One of the ships, which is carrying food and medicine is expected to leave this week.  The Red Crescent has promised to send two ships by Friday and a third next week.

A plane is also planned to fly to Egypt carrying 30 tons of medical aid.

The Iranian decision to send ships to Gaza, follows the international outrage over the Israeli commando raid on the Turkish ship, the Mavi Marmara, which was part of a flotilla seeking to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

An Iranian Red Crescent ship was sent to Gaza during 'Operation Cast Lead' but was turned back by Israeli warships.

ARMED!! * Iranian aid ships head for Gaza

ARMED!! Iranian aid ships head for Gaza

June 14, Monday

State radio says one vessel left port Sunday, another will depart by Friday, loaded with food, construction material and toys
Reuters

Iran is sending aid ships to blockaded Gaza, state radio said Monday – a move likely to be considered provocative by Israel which accuses Tehran of arming the Palestinian enclave's Islamist rulers, Hamas.

One ship left port Sunday and another will depart by Friday, loaded with food, construction material and toys, the report said. The boats would be part of international efforts to break Israel's isolation of the Gaza Strip.

State to form new Gaza policy

Minister Katz to outline new plan for transfer of goods to Strip, including more open crossings

"Until the end of the Gaza blockade, Iran will continue to ship aid," said an official at Iran's Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation.

While Israel has long suspected Iran, which rejects the Jewish state's right to exist, of supplying weapons to Hamas, Tehran says it only provides moral support to the group.

Israeli troops two weeks ago boarded a flotilla of Turkish aid ships heading to Gaza on May 31 and killed nine pro-Palestinian activists, most of them Turks.

Public opinion in Muslim countries was outraged by the killings. An official of the Iranian Red Crescent Society's youth organization said some 100,000 Iranians had volunteered as potential crew for aid ships, Iran daily reported.

A senior Iranian official said earlier Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards were ready to provide a military escort to aid ships heading to Gaza if Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei so commands.

But the Guards' deputy head, Hossein Salami, said there were no plans to do so. "Such a thing is not on our agenda," he was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency Monday.

Any such military mobilization would risk a major confrontation with Israel, which fears Iran's nuclear enrichment program is aimed at developing atomic bombs.

The Jewish state regards Iran's nuclear ambitions as a mortal threat. Iran says its nuclear program is meant solely to yield electricity or isotopes for medicine and agriculture.

Netanyahu yields on Gaza blockade

Netanyahu yields on Gaza blockade

June 14, 2010   debka

Gaza Port prepares for end of Israeli blockade

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, after responding to US pressure for establishing an independent public probe of the May 31 flotilla incident, is also quietly falling back under the international clamor to ease the sea and land siege of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip by installing international supervisory mechanisms in place of the Israeli military and navy.

Monday, the Israeli cabinet was asked to approve the commission headed by former Israeli Supreme Court Justice Jacob Turkel, International Law Prof. Shabtay Rosen and ex-Technion President Ret. Maj. Gen. Amos Horev. The two foreign observers are former First Minister of Northern Ireland David Trimble, currently a UK Conservative Party life peer, and former Judge Advocate General of the Canadian Armed Forces Ken Watkin.
Ret. Gen. Giora Eiland leads a separate probe ordered by the chief of staff.

Claiming that the independent inquiry "preserves the IDF's freedom of action," the prime minister and defense minister Ehud Barak are concealing their near-surrender to international demands to relinquish Israeli military control of sea and overland traffic to the Gaza Strip.

debkafile's Washington sources report that the Obama administration is weighing various alternatives to Israel's military blockade such as using NATO's Operation Active Endeavour counter-terror forces, composed of US, Canadian and European vessels to which Turkish and Israeli warships would be co-opted; some other arrangement for distancing the Israeli military and Navy from freighters destined for Gaza Port, such as the hiring by the UN Security Council of private monitors from the world's biggest marine insurance company Lloyds of London to make sure that the vessels are not carrying weapons or other military cargoes.

In the 1990s, Lloyds fulfilled this function for goods bound for Saddam Hussein's Iraq then under UN sanctions. The cargoes were inspected at the Jordanian port of Aqaba before being cleared for Iraq.

In Brussels, European Union foreign ministers, declaring Israel's siege of Gaza is unacceptable and unproductive, decided Monday, June 14, to increase the pressure on Jerusalem to force it to accept their mechanism, which would post EU monitors at the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, the Karni crossing between Gaza and Israel and in Cyprus, to inspect future aid ships to make sure they are not carrying arms.
Israel is still fighting a rearguard action to keep the IDF and its Navy in control of the traffic destined for Gaza. Their proposal for cargo inspection to take place at Ashdod port has little chance of international acceptance. Netanyahu and Barak may be pushed into consenting to examinations to take place at sea, at a Greek port or at Gaza Port.

(debkafile recalls that the European monitors posted at the Gaza crossings in 2005, as part of a US-sponsored deal between Egypt and Israel following Israel's disengagement from the Gaza Strip, were put to flight by Hamas gunmen shortly after they took up their positions.)

Our Middle East sources note that any of the options rammed through by the US and Europe will represent a net gain for Hamas and its sponsors, especially Iran, and downgrade Israel's ability to defend itself against an acknowledged terrorist force. Mahmud Abbas's Palestinian Authority in Ramallah will be correspondingly weakened and eventually destabilized by the strengthening of Hamas by the West.

Sunday night, June 13, The White House in Washington backed Israel's formation of a public inquiry into the flotilla incident as "an important step forward." Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Israel's panel can meet the standard of a "prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation."

Justice Minister Yacov Neeman said in a radio interview that, without international pressure, no inquiry would have been necessary: Israeli commandos' action in upholding the embargo on the Gaza Strip and defending themselves against terrorists aboard the Turkish flotilla were fully justified and fully in keeping with international law and standards.

debkafile's political sources note that international figures have been introduced to a panel for inquiring in Israel's military activities for the first time in its history.

The White House commendation empowers the two foreign observers to query the commission's proceedings and disqualify its findings, leaving Israel holding the bag.

Israeli Navy braces for Iran flotillas

Israeli Navy braces for Iran flotillas

June 15, 2010, Tuesday   |    3 Tammuz, 5770

Commander: We'll assume provocateurs on board Iran ships.

The navy will operate under the assumption that groups of provocateurs are aboard any future ships that try to break the Israel-imposed sea blockade on the Gaza Strip, Deputy Commander of the Navy Rear-Admiral Rani Ben-Yehuda told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

Two Iranian cargo ships carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza will leave next week, and one of them will be sailing via Istanbul, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Monday. Another flotilla is also expected to soon leave Lebanon for the Gaza Strip.

The announcement quoted Muhammad Ali Nouraee, an aid official, who said one load of cargo will be sent to Turkey, and then shipped to Gaza from Istanbul, while the other will leave from the port of Khorramshahr.

'Intelligence does not indicate weapons on board'

Ben-Yehuda said that while Israel did not have intelligence indicating that the Iranian ships were carrying weaponry, he said that the navy’s assumption would be that provocateurs are onboard.

“I recommend that humanitarian activists who are planning on participating in these new flotillas think very hard because they cannot know who is on these ships,” he said. “We believe that there will be groups that will try to cause provocations and repeat what happened on the Marmara.”

'There are growing signs dozens had terror ties'

In a wide-ranging interview that will appear in Friday’s Frontlines section, Ben-Yehuda defended the Navy commando raid on the Mavi Marmara Turkish passenger ship two weeks ago, which ended with nine dead passengers, all of whom, according to the IDF, were hired mercenaries.

“There are growing signs and proof that there were dozens of people on the ship who had connections with terrorist organizations from around the region and the world,” Ben-Yehuda told the Post. “Some of them were even known to us from past incidents they were involved in.”

Ben-Yehuda said that the nine passengers killed were all Turkish and members of the violent group that attacked the navy commandos from the Navy’s Shayetet 13 (“Flotilla 13”).

The outcome of the operation, Ben-Yehuda said, was not what the Navy had anticipated.

“We expected light resistance but never expected to meet a group of terrorists,” he said, adding however that in the final analysis the operation could be deemed a success.

“No innocent people were killed, only the terrorists,” he said. “When you go into a building that terrorists have taken over and you kill the terrorists, this is also a success.”

In addition, three Iranian parliamentarians are planning to visit Gaza via Egypt, Iranian news agencies reported Monday.

Lawmaker Mahmoud Ahmadi Bighash was quoted as saying that he and two other members of the Majlis, the Iranian parliament, would travel to Gaza by way of Egypt later this week.

Bighash said that some 200 of the 290 Iranian MPs had wanted to make the visit, but the three-man team would go instead. He said the Egyptians had expressed a willingness to allow the Iranians to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing.

Iranian MP Mahmoud Ahmadi-Biqash said on Sunday that the Egyptian government has agreed to issue visas to 70 Iranian parliamentarians who have registered to travel to the Gaza Strip.

As organizers of Iranian flotilla spread inconsistent and vague information, Navy preparing to intercept ships under conditions of uncertainty

The recent deadly Navy raid on the Gaza-bound Marmara ship greatly damaged Israel's image in the world, the political echelon continues to insist that all flotillas attempting to reach the Strip must be stopped.
Nonetheless, the preparations for the next Navy operation – which include an examination of different methods – are being held under conditions of uncertainty.

The decision makers have learned their lessons, and when the picture becomes clear the top seven-minister forum will likely convene and discuss the preparations.

The different flotilla organizers are keeping a low profile and spreading inconsistent and vague information, in an apparent attempt to
"put the Israeli Navy to sleep" and perhaps try to gain wide media exposure during a surprise collision.

One ship has already left Iran, and the second one is reportedly about to set sail.
Or perhaps two ships and a plane?
These are only some of the reports regarding the upcoming flotilla, which is organized by the Iranian Red Crescent – an organization used by Iran's authorities in their intelligence activities.

As far as Israel knows, the ship is sailing from a port in Shatt al-Arab and will head south to Bandar-Abbas in the Straits of Hormuz.
From there, the Iranian ship is slated to leave for Gaza, but its current location is unclear.

Despite the vagueness, the information and working premise in the defense establishment is that at least one ship has already set sail.
It should be noted that Hamas has objected to the presence of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and hundreds of volunteers onboard.

Lebanon ship could reach Gaza within hours

Israel is particularly concerned by the ship slated to leave from Lebanon due to the short sailing duration.
Members of the Breaking the Siege movement can reach the Gaza coast within hours, forcing the Navy to be on a heightened state of alert.

There is no connection between my boats and Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran," promises Palestinian businessman Yasser Kashlak, who has presented two ships slated to sail from Lebanon to Gaza.
According to him, more than 50 vessels will take part in "Freedom Flotilla 2".

The first boat, Naji el-Ali, is set to leave Beirut with 25 European activists onboard, including parliament members and some 50 journalists, including humanitarian equipment.
The second ship, Mariam, whose passengers will be mostly women, was presented on Sunday.

The "flotilla offensive" is expected to climax at the end of the month of Ramadan, which takes place on October 12, when organizations like Free Gaza and Viva Palestine seek to organize a flotilla of 10 to 15 vessels.

Second Iranian ship to set sail this weekend

Second Iranian ship to set sail this weekend

June 16, 2010, Wednesday   |    4 Tammuz, 5770

Iranian Red Crescent says ship carrying humanitarian aid, toys for Gaza Strip to set sail 'at start of next week'

Tehran's preparations for sending an aid convoy to Gaza are at their peak, and two organizations plan to send ships to the Strip.
One of the ships seems to have already set sail, and the other is slated to leave this Saturday. They are expected to arrive at Gaza's shores via the Red Sea.

"The ship will depart for Gaza in a special ceremony that will be attended by thousands of people at the start of next week," a statement on the Iranian Red Crescent's website said on Wednesday.

The Iranian work week begins on Saturday, but the statement did not specify which day the ship will leave.
The organization said earlier this week that it is still waiting for a green light from the Iranian Foreign Ministry before setting sail.

According to the statement, the ship is to leave from the Bandar-Abbas Port in southern Iran and travel directly to the Gaza Strip.
The first ship will be carrying humanitarian aid for the residents of the Strip, as well as a small team of doctors and aid workers.
Alongside the humanitarian aid, gifts will be sent to the children in Gaza, including baby cloths, toys and dolls.

In addition, the Iranian Red Crescent's youth organization said that "in light of the possibility that the Zionist regime may do something evil,"
they plan to send no more than 10 volunteers who have already undergone training. Their ages were not specified.

The Iranian Red Crescent said that so far, over 155,000 volunteers have signed up for the Gaza flotilla.
Registration will continue for a few more days, and is meant mainly as a way for Iranian citizens to identify with the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The organization plans to send another ship to Gaza, most likely a week later, carrying more aid workers such as doctors and volunteers.

Iran is eager to show that it cares more for the Palestinians than Turkey does, and is working fervently to have the blockade on the Strip lifted.

Earlier this week another Iranian ship reportedly set sail for Gaza.
The ship set sail on behalf of another organization that is not affiliated with the government, by the name of "The Iranian Company for the Protection of the Palestinian Nation."

The organization's head said this week that it plans to send aid to Gaza through land to Turkey, and from there set sail to Gaza, but did not specify when this would take place.

Netanyahu warns: Dark days ahead

Netanyahu warns of Dark days ahead

June 14, 2010  Monday

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu predicted rough waters ahead for Israel on Monday.
"Be prepared for difficult days," he told a Likud faction meeting, in which he also announced the establishment of an inquiry committee to probe the IDF flotilla raid.

"Dark forces from the Middle Ages are raging against us. I have received calls from concerned officials in the Balkans and Eastern Europe who are very worried about these developments."

Earlier, at the cabinet meeting, Netanyahu told ministers to expect "surprises", even from Israel's allies. However he said the committee would work in favor of Israel, and not against it.

"This committee strengthens our ability to fight in the international political arena.
If we had done nothing, I assume we would have had worse problems in the world.
There is a certain price we are paying, but under the present circumstances it is our best move," he said.

"The flotilla to Gaza was not a one-time thing. We find ourselves in the midst of a difficult and continuous battle against the State of Israel.
The flood of hate is being led by Israel's enemies all over the world
," Netanyahu added.

"They are trying to pinch us with the metal pinchers of missiles and terror, and revoke Israel's right to defend itself as well as the rights of IDF soldiers to protect their own lives."

But the inquiry committee, led by retired Supreme Court Justice Jacob Turkel and including observers from Ireland and Canada, does not appear to be in any particular hurry. Its members have not yet met with Netanyahu and Cabinet Secretary Zvi Hauser says no time schedule has been set yet.

Israel fears Lebanese fast flotilla

Israel fears Lebanese fast flotilla

June 17, 2010,  Thursday   |    4 Tammuz, 5770

IDF continues to track Iranian ships en route to Gaza.

While the IDF continued Wednesday to track the Iranian ships en route to the Gaza Strip, the Navy was put on high alert amid fears that another flotilla would be
launched from Lebanon, leaving – due to the short distance – little time to stop it.

A cargo ship left Iran earlier this week and is expected to try and break the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza as early as the weekend.

Another ship is scheduled to join at the beginning of next week.
The IDF is closely tracking the ships but is particularly concerned about the possibility that a number of ships will set sail from Lebanon, possibly even with Hizbullah operatives aboard.

“There is not a lot of time to stop fast ships that come from Lebanon
,” an IDF officer explained, “Practically, it means that the Navy has to be on high alert around the clock.”

The Navy will likely first try to stop the ships by calling on them to stop at sea and far from the Gaza coast.

This worked successfully during Operation Cast Lead when an Iranian ship tried breaking the siege but was turned back by the Navy without boarding.
If this fails, the Navy has prepared Flotilla 13, known as the Shayetet, to head up an operation like it did two weeks ago in stopping the international aid flotilla from Turkey.

Meanwhile, Bulent Yildirim, head of the Turkish organization IHH which was behind the last flotilla stopped by Israel, announced on Wednesday that his organization would send six more ships to Gaza in July.
He said that the family members of the 9 Turks killed on board the Mavi Marmara passenger ship have requested to join the next IHH flotilla.
(Turkey alone is responsible for the deaths!)

Also Wednesday, the International Red Cross distanced itself from the Iranian flotilla, which is reportedly being organized by the Iranian Red Crescent.
The Iranian boats, the ICRC said, were from the International Red Crescent, which is a different organization.

This is JIHAD - WAR - not an aid floatilla!!!

June 17, 2010,  Thursday   |    4 Tammuz, 5770

ISRAEL CAN NOT AFFORD to fight another POLITICALLY CORRECT WAR!!

If Arabs laid down their weapons, there'd be peace today.
If Israel laid down their weapons there'd be no Israel

IT APPEARS ALL HELL IS ABOUT TO BREAK LOOSE FOR ISRAEL THIS WEEK

Number of ships sailing to Gaza unclear, but it appears that 50 jihad ships will attack Israel this weekend, determined to break Israel's VALID, NEEDED blockade of Gaza.
Some ships left Iran on June 14th, with Iran Rev Guard aboard, others to join up en route.

One jihad ship, Mariam (Maryam), is named after Mary the mother of Jesus Christ (Isa), to whom a chapter in the Islamic Koran is named.
Israel is determined that ALL SHIPS trying to reach Gaza must be stopped.

Russia to sell missiles and S-300 and S-400 missile systems to Turkey.
That gets around sanctions on Iran.  They go to Turkey then Iran.

Turkey ALONE is responsible for the deaths of their terrorists in Gaza flotilla incident.
IF Israel is at fault in any way, its by falling into the jihad trap that was set for them by Turkey.

Egypt refuses to stop Iranian ships

*  Egypt refuses to stop Iranian ships

June 18, 2010,  Friday   |    6 Tammuz, 5770

Egypt has issued entry visas for hundreds of Iranians.
Egypt will NOT detail Iran ships.
Egypt has passively, so far, joined the jihad on Israel.

Kuwaiti paper says Egypt denied Israeli request to prevent Gaza aid ships from passing through Suez Canal

Egypt rejected Israel's request not to assist the Iranian ships slated to sail to the Gaza Strip in the coming days, Kuwaiti paper al-Dar reported on Friday. The report was not confirmed by any official Egyptian elements.

Facts regarding the Iranian flotilla to Gaza are vague and shrouded in mystery. As of yet, it is unclear whether the ships have already set sail, and the number of people on deck is unknown.

At the start of the week Iranian state radio reported that the first ship has already set sail and that another ship was slated to leave this weekend.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent, the ships are carrying humanitarian aid including gifts for the children of Gaza, baby cloths, toys and dolls.

The Kuwaiti report, which cites Egyptian sources, said the officers of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak appealed to Egyptian Intelligence chief Omar Suleiman and asked he prevent the passage of Iranian ships through the Suez Canal.

The Israeli sources argued in their request that Iran supports the Hamas organization, which is a terror group that also operates against the Egyptian authorities.

According to the paper's sources, the Egyptians rejected the Israeli request, and stressed in their response that, due to the international agreements on movement through the Suez Canal,
Egypt cannot prevent any ship from sailing through it
, unless it is a ship belonging to a state that is at war with Egypt, which is not the case with Iran.

The sources added that Cairo does not wish to be perceived as standing in the way of international organizations and Arab and Islamic states'
desire to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and break the Israeli siege on the Strip.

Meanwhile, the al-Dar report also cited sources from Iran's Interest Section in Egypt as saying that Cairo has issued entry visas for
hundreds of Iranian citizens who has requested to accompany the ships in a land convoy.

The visas permit entry to the Strip via Rafah crossing for Iranian Red Crescent teams and humanitarian aid volunteers.

Therefore they need to boast, brag and insult to make themselves insane enuf to attack.  They are fools who believe their own lies.

Lebanese flotilla for Gaza joined by Lebanese army

Lebanese flotilla for Gaza joined by Lebanese army

June 20, 2010,  Sunday   |    8 Tammuz, 5770

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

Hizballah commandos trained by Iran's Revolutionary Guards

Officers of Hizballah's Iranian-trained marine arm and surface rocket units were sighted Saturday, June 19, going in an out of the small Lebanese Navy's bases in Beirut and Juniya.
debkafile's intelligence sources report the Lebanese army and Hizballah are pooling their military resources to be ready for any Israeli action against Lebanese ships heading for Gaza.

The tiny Lebanese Navy, no more than a handful of fast coastal guard boats, has been placed on alert, as have Hizballah's coastal rocket positions.
The Shiite terrorist group has also deployed marines in Beirut harbour against a possible Israeli naval commando raid.

Lebanese ship or ships bound for Gaza are potentially a more dangerous spark for a regional conflagration than even the convoys Ankara and Tehran -
although all of them are pledged to the same mission of busting the Israeli blockade of Gaza and may mount a concerted assault.

All 3 are clearly coordinated:
The two-ship Lebanese convoy planning to sail 70 women from different countries to Gaza is funded by Yasser Qaslaq,
a Palestinian who in the guise of a Lebanese businessman acts as money courier between Tehran, Hizballah and extremist Palestinian organizations.

Israel's UN ambassador Gabriela Shalev warned Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that Israel reserves the right to use "all necessary means" to stop the Lebanese boats.
Attempts to sail from Lebanon, which maintains a state of war with Israel, she said, would raise regional tensions.

But instead of dealing with the mounting crisis, Ban again demanded that Israel accept an international investigation of its raid of a Turkish ship on May 31 and the nine deaths aboard.

Anxious to keep its head down, Hizballah claimed Saturday that it was not involved in the Lebanese flotilla, thereby trying to pass the buck to Beirut and Jerusalem.
But its spokesmen pointedly avoided a guarantee to stay out of it if the Israel navy boarded Lebanese ships.
The Iranian-backed terrorists, who in the name of "resistance" maintain a separate armed force armed with advanced weapons in
violation of several UN Security Council resolutions, could not stand aside if Beirut accused Israel of an act of war.

The first Lebanese boat heading out for Gaza waters therefore holds the potential of scuppering the Lebanese-Israel truce under the UN Security Council Resolution which cut short the 2006 war,
required the Hizballah militia to disarm, and posted UN-flagged German, Spanish and Italian naval units opposite Lebanon's Mediterranean coast.

Their mission was - and is - to prevent Hizballah receiving weapons smuggled by sea or taking up an active presence in Lebanese ports and anchorages.
However, the peacekeepers have never proved able to stop Hizballah building up one of the biggest rocket and missile arsenal in the Middle East - by sea and by land.

Today, the Lebanese army is reverting to its 2006 collaboration with Lebanon that permitted Hizballah missile teams to use its coastal radar stations to fire the
Silkworm C-802 missiles which crippled the Israeli Hanit missile boat.

Beset by international censure, the Israeli government does not appear to have a clear policy for contesting the expanding pressure by hostile nations and entities for
smashing its blockade against a Hamas regime which, like Hizballah, is dedicated to total war on Israel.
They have hit on a winning ruse: Civilian vessels are used for apparent "humanitarian aid" missions. Easing the goods embargo has not done Israel any good at all.

Egypt has folded under the pressure and rejected Israel's request to close the Suez Canal to Iranian ships
heading for Gaza by invoking the Istanbul Treaty which authorizes Cairo to deny access only to ships of nations at war with Egypt.
At the same time, Cairo could if it wished stop ships for inspection and keep them hanging about for a long period.

Not only is Egypt avoiding this, but its government and Tehran are in talks for Iranian flights bearing equipment for Gaza to land at Cairo and El Arish airports.
One will carry a large Iranian parliamentary delegation lead by Speaker Ali Larijani, who is determined to pose on the Gaza-Israeli border and make a speech opposite Israeli border positions.

This incident highlights Israel's error in abandoning the key southern Gaza Philadelphia route in 2005 after disengaging from the Gaza Strip.
Iranian ships can accordingly touch land by sailing along the seam line between the waters of Egypt and the Gaza Strip, exactly opposite the Mediterranean end of the Philadelphia route.
They can unload their cargo and send it into the Gaza Strip through the Philadelphi corridor without hindrance, unless Israel is prepared to venture into Egyptian territory to stop them.

Lebanese sources tell Al-Hayat that flotilla organizers had not filed for the necessary permits, adding that travel to an Israel-controlled port is illegal.
A reported Gaza-bound aid flotilla may not be allowed to depart from Lebanon, Lebanese sources told the Arab daily Al-Hayat on Sunday, saying it was illegal for a vessel leaving a Lebanese port to dock in a port under Israeli occupation.

Earlier Sunday, Haaretz reported that Israel had initiated diplomatic efforts designed to prevent the departure of at least one vessel, carrying 50 to 70 Lebanese women and food aid. Israel has been in touch with the UN, United States, France, Spain and Germany. It has also been speaking with the Vatican because the ship is expected to include several dozen Catholic nuns.

However, it is possible that the flotilla would not be allowed to leave Lebanese shores, as Lebanon forbids a vessel departing one of its ports to reach a port under Israeli occupation.
This fact has led Lebanon officials to estimate that organizers would submit a travel plan to a different destination, perhaps Cyprus, only to change course during the course of their voyage
.

Organizers failed to appeal the government for the necessary permits, which include authorizing their departure as well as their travel.

Lebanese officials told the Arab daily that the bureaucratic procedures needed to approve such an endeavor included authorizing the ship's permit by the Lebanese ministry of transportation, including the approving the intended travelers, as well as the type of cargo the flotilla is to hold.

A senior Lebanese official added that, regardless of the procedures required, Lebanese law did not permit the transport of weapons on board ships.

Lebanon's Minister of Labor Ghazi Al Aridi told Lebanon's Al-Nahar that no official "request regarding the flotilla had been submitted," saying that Lebanon would not "allow anyone to preach us over our support of the Palestinians, but there are rules and they must be followed."

Al Aridi added that a permit could be given to any port but Gaza, since it was under Israeli occupation.

Earlier Sunday, Israel informed the United Nations and - through diplomatic channels - the Lebanese government that it reserves the right to use all means necessary to stop ships seeking to breach the naval blockade on the Gaza Strip.

In a letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Israel warned that the attempt by the organizers to sail from Lebanon and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza could escalate tensions and affect peace and security in the region.

"Israel reserves its right under international law to use all necessary means to prevent these ships from violating the existing naval blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip," wrote Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gabriela Shalev.
