Dead Sea is drying up

Dead Sea is drying up
Sept. 22, 2013
Will the Dead Sea be eaten by sinkholes?  Huge chasms are appearing daily in the region.
The Dead Sea is drying up at a rate of one meter per year causing sinkholes.
There are now over 3,000 sinkholes around the Dead Sea on the Israeli side, the first appeared in the 1980s.
The Dead Sea is drying up at an incredible rate leaving huge chasms of empty space.
The Dead Sea spans 60 miles through Israel and Jordan.
Its water level has fallen to 423 meters below sea level.
As a result, the Seas water surface area has been reduced  by one third.

This IS BIG News!

Matthew 24:25  Behold, I have told you before.

Matthew 24:42  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Mat 24:43  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Mat 24:44  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Red-Dead pipeline
Dec 9, 2013
Historic Agreement to Link Red Sea and the Dead Sea.
Israel announces deal with Jordan to save Dead Sea and provide desalinized water to all.
Israel, Jordan, Palestinians to finally build Red-Dead pipeline.
Project aims to provide the region with millions of cubic meters of drinking water, while replenishing the salt lake.
Israel, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority to sign an agreement to build a pipeline from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.
Jordan and Israel keep their agreements, Palestinians NEVER do.

Representatives of the 3 parties are scheduled to gather at the World Bank in Washington for an official signing ceremony.
The Red Sea-Dead Sea canal, known informally as the Red-Dead project, is expected to cost $250-$400 million, to be raised from donor countries and philanthropic sources as well as a cash injection from the World Bank.

The surface of the Dead Sea lies 1,400 feet below sea level, and water would naturally flow to it from the Red Sea.
The project will be completed in four to five years.
A desalination plant in the Jordanian city of Aqaba, across the gulf from Eilat Israel will produce drinking water.
Israel will provide water for the Palestinians.

MidEast effort to keep the Dead Sea alive
DECEMBER 10, 2013
The Dead Sea has been rapidly disappearing for 50 years, one of the world’s natural wonders careening toward ecological collapse in a region more often focused on political conflict.
On Monday, Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority agreed on an ambitious plan to begin refilling the ancient salt lake with briny water pumped from the Red Sea — and relieve local shortages of fresh water at the same time.

In the first stage of what could become a massive joint initiative, private investors will be asked to finance construction of a large desalination plant in Jordan, on the Gulf of Aqaba. The plant would suck billions of gallons from the Red Sea and convert it to drinking water that would be shared by Israel and Jordan. Israel, in turn, would increase the amount of water it sells to the Palestinian Authority by as much as 30 million cubic meters a year.

Billions of gallons of “reject brine” — essentially, super-salty water created by the desalination process — would be pumped via a new, 100-mile pipeline and discharged into the Dead Sea, in quantities hoped to be large enough to buy some time and slow the lake’s disappearance.

‘Nature’s revenge’:
March 19, 2015
-  Huge sinkholes burst open on banks of Dead Sea as water dries up.
Environmentalists say mismanagement of water resources around the Dead Sea has produced more than 3,000 sinkholes.
The saline lake — bordered by Jordan, Israel and the West Bank — is evaporating at nearly four feet per year, which leaves behind the salt pockets responsible for the dangerous sinkholes, reported ABC News.

Gidon Bromberg, the Israeli director of EcoPeace Middle East, told the news site that the sinkholes are “nature’s revenge.”
The organization of Jordanian, Palestinian and Israeli environmentalists is dedicated to preserving their shared environmental heritage.

EcoPeace says the construction of dams, storage reservoirs and pipelines has caused the unique salt lake to dry up at a distressing rate. Water simply is not flowing in as freely as it once did from the typical sources, the Jordan River and various tributaries.

“They could develop overnight or over time,” Bromberg said to ABC News, “making them unpredictable and very dangerous.”

The first sinkhole appeared in the 1980s, but new ones appear every single day
. They grow in groups and collapse into one another to create massive craters, according to Bromberg.

In 2005, Smithsonian magazine said that roughly 1,000 sinkholes had been reported. The new 3,000-plus figure indicates that they have been appearing at an accelerated rate in recent years.

Bromberg fears that an overnight sinkhole might cause Route 90, which runs along the lake, to collapse.
“If nothing is done, it’s only a matter of time until someone dies,” he said.

Haaretz reports that Israel’s Transportation Ministry closed down a nearly 1,000-foot stretch of the highway in January after several meters on its eastern side sank roughly five centimeters.

The River from the Temple
Excerpts from Ezekiel 47
http://biblehub.com/niv/ezekiel/47.htm

water was trickling from the south side of the temple.
I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river.
This water flows down into the Arabah where it enters the Dead Sea.
When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.

Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows.
There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh
Fishermen will stand along the shore, fish will be of many kinds like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.

Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them.
Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.

The Nile And The Euphrates Are Drying Up: Both Rivers Are In The News And Both Rivers Are In The Bible (An Inevitable Famine Is Plaguing The Muslim World)
3/23/15

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi signed agreement on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will be a burden on Egypt. Controlling the Nile has dire consequences on agriculture and experts predict famine is on the horizon.

The Euphrates River and the Nile, both on the news and both are predicted to dry up causing cataclysmic events on the nations that depend on them. The Bible predicts that the Euphrates will stop the flow of water so that 200 million man army enters to make its way to invade Jerusalem and how the Aswan Dam in Egypt will be  completely destroyed.

The Bible also predicted that a war will erupt where Muslim nations will invade Israel, not just over the issue of Jerusalem but over the issue of food (Ezekiel 38:13) and that the price of wheat will skyrocket “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius …” (Revelation 6:6)

Sodom is being excavated
April 11, 2015
-  The ancient city of Sodom is being excavated on the NorthEast tip of the Dead Sea in Jordan.

They uncovered evidence of a cataclysmic event, similar to a nuclear type explosion, that leveled the city. After the cataclysmic event, pederasty was practiced (similar to Homosexual Adoption).

Since 2000, queer couples are adopting children in the U.S.

However, the Bible is clear on Homosexuality (sodomy). Throughout the Bible Homosexual behavior and practice is forbidden as a sin against God Himself ( Lev 18:22, Lev 20:13, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Romans 1 ).  God told man to leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, and then to be fruitful and multiply.

Jesus said in Luke 17 that the last days before his return would be like the days of Lot (Sodom), where homosexuality and pederasty were practiced. Like Sodom, where men broke the everlasting covanent with God by legislating homosexuality and pederasty, the prophet Isaiah predicted 2500 years ago that the entire world would be like this in the last days and would bring judgment on the world.

Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. 3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away , the world languisheth and fadeth away , the haughty people of the earth do languish . 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

ISIS's Latest Weapon: Damming the Euphrates
ISIS closes off all gates of Ramadi dam, threatening humanitarian crisis against pro-regime forces and all others left in region.

6/2/15

Islamic State (ISIS) group jihadists have closed the gates of a dam in the Iraqi city of Ramadi which they seized last month, posing a humanitarian and security threat, officials said Tuesday.

ISIS fighters have repeatedly attempted to control dams in Iraq, in some cases reducing the flow of water to areas under government control or flooding swathes of land to impede military operations, reports AFP.

Anbar provincial council chief Sabah Karhout said ISIS "closed all the gates" at a dam in Ramadi, capital of Iraq's largest province.

The move lowered the level of the Euphrates River and cut water supplies to the areas of Khaldiyah and Habbaniyah to the east, which are some of the last held by pro-government forces in Anbar.

The lower water level has also made it easier for ISIS to carry out attacks, Karhout said.

He called for the dam to either be quickly retaken or targeted in an air strike.

"Cutting the water to Khaldiyah and Habbaniyah will lead to a major humanitarian crisis not only in these areas" but also farther south, said Sheikh Rafa al-Fahdawi, a leader in the Albu Fahad tribe, which is fighting against ISIS.

Aoun Dhiyab, a former head of the Iraqi water resources department and an expert in water issues, said "the goal of (ISIS) is not to cut the water, but to reduce the level, to take advantage of it for military purposes."

"When the water level is reduced, it allows them to infiltrate from Ramadi to Khaldiyah and then easily move to other areas," he said.

Iraqi forces have launched a counteroffensive to try to recapture Ramadi but have so far either stopped on the city's outskirts or focused efforts on severing jihadist supply lines.
