Tectonic pressure on the New Madrid fault
June 30, 2010
The tectonic pressure on the new madrid fault is great.
The surface rupture of the roads and highways is out of control.
Buildings are cracking and shifting, flagpoles vibrate, roads blow up potholes, sidewalks are sinking and sinkholes are opening everywhere.
Any time day or night, you can literally feel the earth "vibrate" below your feet.  Some bridges have been shut down or are scheduled for closing because they are unsafe.
In Momence Illinois, some of the buildings are beginning to sink.  The same in Cedar Lake Indiana.
I believe we are about to get hit with a earthquake of biblical proportions.

Earthquakes coming to United States
Pastor David Wilkerson, The Vision 1974 Chapter 2  (edit)
The United States is going to experience one the most tragic earthquakes in its history. It will be the biggest most disastrous earthquake in history. It will cause widespread panic and fear. A Japan quake may precede this.  I am not convinced that this earthquake will be in California, but where it is least expected, in an area not known as an earthquake belt. It will be so high on the Richter scale that it will trigger 2 other major earthquakes.

Various things could be tied together.
We live on one single earth.
We call seas and waters by different names but they are one sea.
Louisiana and Mississippi states are next to each other so its logical the waters would be affected all over there and in the Gulf of Mexico.  See a map.

Truth And Consequences
Special In-Depth Report
A Review Of The Gulf Oil Eruption, And What The Future Holds That You Are Not Being Told

Scenario Four
Killer Earthquake/s - New Madrid Fault
June 2010
In this scenario, the gusher relieves enough pressure on surrounding rocks and tectonic plates that there is a sudden massive earthquake affecting the New Madrid Fault.
This in turn collapses the cavity and stops the gusher. That's the good news.
Unfortunately, lots of people are dead or injured.

"A study commissioned by (FEMA) indicates that a major earthquake
on the New Madrid fault would kill 3,500 people and leave millions homeless.
It found that more than 80,000 people would be injured by a 7.7-magnitude quake."

How does this tie in to the Gulf of Mexico?
It does so via the work of a retired geologist-geophysicist,Jack M. Reed.
"(He) studied the Gulf and the New Madrid Fault for something like 40 years (and) believes the origin of the earthquakes lies beneath the Gulf of Mexico.

"(He also) says the accepted theory of a quiet geologic evolution of the Gulf of Mexico Basin is fundamentally flawed and needs to be revised."

If Reed is correct and such earthquakes have their beginnings in the Gulf of Mexico, then it seems to be within the realms of possibility that
a big earthquake could happen much sooner than anyone has expected.
Then again, they always do catch us by surprise, no matter where they occur.
Moreover, human nature being what it is, it is very unlikely that this report will spur many people into taking evasive action - such as leaving for a safer place to live.

These were some highlights from this article on Scenario Four that could relate to the upcoming earthquake.
I remember when we discussed about all the people who had dreams and visions pertaining to a major split in the continent.
I think this time is now about to happen in the near future.

I'll throw out another scenerio - if/when Obama is able to twist Bibi's arm to divide the city of Jeruselum(and give the PA/Hamas the entire Gaza Strip et al)...LOOK OUT!

I pray the Lord continues to stall this treaty the Obama admit is trying to pull, but you can't deny it will come with heavy consequences.

I believe since the beginning of time, God has everything programed to happen in the Earth below and the heavens above to do what He needs to happen according to His purpose.
The timing and severity of every event is done to His perfection.

When mankind does something out of His will, He has something to either warn or punish those who fight against Him.

I'm sure His desire is that we repent and turn to Him so that we have eternal life.

Smile  Poppa, that is a very good post.
Stan Deyo knows a great deal about Earth.

It has been my belief for years - BEFORE I had any idea others had predicted it -
that when the USA demanded Israel split Jerusalem,
GOD would split America in half along the Mississippi River.

CATASTASTROPHE! * Oil Gusher in the Gulf of Mexico
This thread is many pages about the many thoughts and theories and facts about the oil rig and ensuing disaster.
It may NOT be oil.  Its a volcano, not of dead dinosaurs.

All that material CANNOT be erupting out of our Earth without being displaced.
And the gusher is smack dab at the south end of the New Madrid fault zone.

It may even be influencing earthquakes globally.
If you stub your toe or smash your finger, your entire body feels pain.

Midwest states prepare for possible earthquake
Sep 2010  Nearly 300 Guardsmen and Airmen from 38 states are attending a 3 day workshop on the potential for a major quake along the New Madrid Seismic Zone.
"We are here today and over the past couple of days in order to develop an unified response effort in the event that we have an earthquake of 6.0 magnitude or greater," says Capt. Heathscott
Heathscott says the quake of 1812 registered a 7.8 on the Richter Scale, devestating an area from Arkansas to Kentucky.

"At the time the area was sparsely populated, but today you have St. Louis and you have Memphis within the potential area of destruction.
You also have 160-200 smaller communites who are going to be in just as much need."
Heathscott says this indicates that a huge response effort may be needed, "We understand communications are going to be down.
In your worst case scenario, your railways in and your possible airways in will be very limited.
Communication will be key, but identifying those things now will help figure out a plan to move in."
Lessons learned from earthquakes in other countries and the emergency response to Hurricane Katrina are helping Guardsmen better plan for a large disaster says Heathscott.

Heathscott adds, "It's a huge part of our plan now. How do you receive these mass numbers of personel that are coming in and all the equipment and logistical requirements. So, large amount of planning.
It's a huge coordinated effort not only with the Guard but with a lot of other agencies."
The guardsmen are hoping they don't have to stop and think about what to do next, but already have a plan in place where they can act quickly.
THe workshop will wrap up Thursday with a meeting of guardsmen from around the country.

3.0 quake NE of BATON ROUGE, Louisiana
August 2,  2010
This small quake would NOT be something I would normally report, but for its LOCATION.
There have been daily quakes all along the Mississippi River since the oil rig blew in the Gulf.
That New Madrid fault extends all along there.  A major quake would collapse those bridges and separate the eastern USA from the west.
This is what is prophecied to occur when Obama demands Jerusalem be split for the enemies of GOD, the Palestinians.

4.2 Earthquake in Eastern Missouri This Morning
June 07 2011
(Sullivan, MO) - The U.S. Geological Survey says a 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit 14 miles east southeast from Sullivan, Missouri at 3:10 am Tuesday.
The quake happened 3.2 miles below ground, according to the U.S.G.S., and was centered in rural Washington County, Missouri, east southeast of Sullivan.
St. Louis television station KTVI reports police in Sullivan, Missouri received many phone calls after the shaking, but no injuries or damage were reported.
The epicenter was less than 15 miles from the Sullivan exit from Interstate 44.

New Madrid Mega Quake Being Engineered?
Feb 25, 2013
I have heard this before, a couple years ago.  Maybe true, but GOD is still in control.
The Obamafia are trying to drive a stake right into America's heartland.  And also Jerusalem, the Heartland of Israel, which will curse America further.
For decades I have said when USA pushes Israel to divide Jerusalem, God will split USA along the Mississippi River.

Natural disasters are on the rise, and evidence increases they might not be completely natural.
Man conducting weather and earthquake wars
Will the Louisiana Sink Hole Trigger the Mississippi BIG quake?
HAARP based in Alaska is under constant scrutiny, as researchers track its relationship to weather modification and earthquake activity.

Earthquakes rattle nerves in local area
Apr 5, 2013
PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO. - On shaky ground. Two tremors in the New Madrid Seismic Zone this week have people wondering if a big earthquake could be coming.
The two are considered minor. No damage has been reported from either.
Thursday night's quake struck around 7:27 local time. It was centered about six miles northeast of Caruthersville, Missouri and measured a 2.7 on the Richter Scale. Tuesday night a similar quake hit near Portageville, Missouri.

The U.S. Geological Survey considers the New Madrid Seismic Zone the most active in North America east of the Rockies.
But it's been about 100 years since a major earthquake hit this area. Still, the two recent quakes are leaving behind some rattled nerves.

The only thing getting shaken Friday in Caruthersville, Missouri is the salad at Grandad's Deli.
"It's a scary thought," said Sharon Russell, owner.
Russell said they were busy Thursday night and didn't notice the tremor.
"We were kind of rocking in this little place last night, so we didn't feel it," she said.

But now, the week's two tremors are the talk of the town. Alexis Avis shook with the first.
"The first one I felt, I was in bed. And I thought I could tell it was an earthquake," she said.
Avis said the two so close together put her on alert.

"New Madrid is always putting out a lot of small ones," said Dr. James Conder, Assistant Professor of Geology at SIU-Carbondale.
Dr. Conder believes there's really no reason for alarm but said it's natural for people to wonder.
"It really should spark some curiosity," he said.

Dr. Conder said some evidence shows the New Madrid may be running out of energy, and the recent quakes are its last breaths. But that's just a theory. He warns a larger one could hit at any time.  If it does, the damage region-wide could be catastrophic.

"We have very thick soils that shake like Jello, everything would get bounced around a lot," said Conder.
That's a circumstance Sharon Russell doesn't want to consider.
"How big does it have to be before you really feel the effects of it?" said Russell.
Professor Conder said researchers would become concerned if the frequency and intensity of those quakes increases in months and years to come.

MISSOURI - Another major earthquake on New Madrid is inevitable
May 27, 2013
A massive earthquake along the New Madrid fault kills or injures 60,000 people in Tennessee.  A quarter of a million people are homeless.
The Memphis airport goes off-line. Major oil and gas pipelines across Tennessee rupture, causing shortages in the Northeast.
In Missouri, another 15,000 people are hurt or dead. Cities and towns throughout the central U.S. lose power and water for months.
Losses stack up to hundreds of billions of dollars.

Fortunately, this magnitude 7.7 temblor is not real but rather a scenario imagined by the Mid-America Earthquake Center and the Institute for Crisis, Disaster and Risk Management at George Washington University. The goal of their 2008 analysis was to plan for a modern recurrence of quakes that happened along the New Madrid fault more than 200 years ago, in 1811 and 1812. No one alive has experienced a major earthquake in the Midwest, yet geologists say it’s only a matter of time. That puts a lot of uncertainty on disaster officials. Their earthquake precautions — quake-resistant building codes, for example — have never been reality tested. Some question if enough has been done to strengthen existing buildings, schools and other infrastructure. It is difficult to prepare for a geological catastrophe the public cannot see and has never experienced. “We mostly react to disasters, and it’s been extremely rare that we get ahead of things,” said Claire Rubin, a disaster response specialist in Arlington, Va. “A lot of hard problems don’t get solved. They get moved around and passed along.” Steven L. Lueker is among disaster response officials who worry about the New Madrid fault and another fault to the north, in the Wabash Valley. He’s the emergency management coordinator for Jefferson County in Southern Illinois, and he rattles off likely impact statistics. One of the most important: The New Madrid fault is expected to generate a large-scale earthquake within the next 50 years. “I may not be here when it happens,” said Lueker. “Or it may happen while we’re talking. You don’t know.” When it does happen, Lueker said Mount Vernon, the Jefferson County seat, likely will be a staging area for support flowing into Tennessee and Missouri — unless the Mount Vernon airport itself is too damaged. He doesn’t — can’t — know.  Uncertainty is the maddening aspect of earthquakes. They can’t be predicted, even very big ones. We know they happen frequently along the Earth’s tectonic plates. We also know there are no such plates in the central United States, yet that part of the country has had major earthquakes in three zones: the New Madrid fault, which on computer models looks like Harry Potter’s scar slashing across Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee; the Wabash Valley fault in Illinois and Indiana; and the East Tennessee Seismic Zone that runs into Alabama.  These are not like the faults in California, which last had a major earthquake in 1994, when the magnitude 6.7 Northridge temblor killed 57 people and caused $20 billion in damages. The mid-continent faults rupture less often; New Madrid gets the shakes maybe 200 times a year, about a tenth the number in California. And earthquakes in the central United States tend to be smaller. The New Madrid fault appears to have a big rupture every 300 years or so; the Wabash Valley has one perhaps every 500 years.  But when quakes do hit the central United States, geology means they are felt much farther away, because the Earth’s crust in the region does not absorb the shock waves in the way it does in the Western United States. “The Northridge earthquake was barely felt in Las Vegas, 250 miles away,” said Gary Patterson, director of education and outreach at the Center for Earthquake Research and Information at the University of Memphis. “Here, a large quake would be felt 1,200 miles away in Canada.” Not everyone thinks the New Madrid fault will produce another big earthquake. Seth Stein, a geologist at Northwestern University, has argued that the small quakes occurring along the fault are not the kind that suggests the Earth is gathering energy for a large one. “He’s a smart guy,” said Patterson. “But it’s interesting that you have to go 500 miles away from the fault to find a scientist who disagrees with the consensus” that another New Madrid quake is inevitable.  At the same time, Patterson and others concede it is difficult to explain why the faults in the central United States are active at all. –DDC
