US to install new Bahraini king
Nov. 23, 2011
The US is planning to replace the Bahraini ruler, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, over his failure to end months of protests in the country.
According to a report published by Islam Times, Washington has urged King Hamad to restore peace and stability to the country by end of 2011 even at the price of his resignation.
The report also says that Washington wants to replace King Hamad with a Sunni ruler upon agreement with Saudi Arabia.
It also said that the US has announced it will not tolerate Manama's delay in crushing nationwide anti-government protests.

Unfortunately, just like Yemen, Syria and Libya - the USA may be the terrorists.

Bahrain bomb blasts kill 2
5 November 2012
Two foreign workers have been killed and a third seriously injured by bomb blasts in Bahrain, officials say.
Police said there were five explosions caused by home-made devices in two areas of the capital Manama on Monday.
One of the men died at the scene when he kicked a device in Gudaibiya. The second died in hospital after being injured by an explosion near a cinema.

A third explosion in Adliya injured another man working as a cleaner. Officials said the victims were Asian.
Their nationalities are not known, but the biggest expatriate communities in Bahrain are Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi.

According to the 2010 census, there are more than 660,000 foreign nationals living in Bahrain - the vast majority of whom are described as Asian - out of a total population of 1,235,000.
The head of Capital Governorate Police urged all residents of Bahrain not to touch strange objects and to notify the authorities if they saw one.
An investigation into who caused the blasts, which the official Bahrain News Agency described as an "act of terrorism", is under way.
Last month, a policeman was killed by a bomb explosion while on patrol during an anti-government protest in the village of al-Akr. Another later died of burns he suffered after being hit by a Molotov cocktail in April.

IRAN, Bahrain and Saudi dispute
Apr 6, 2013
Tehran seeks to expand its influence in the region, describes Bahrain as the 14th province of Iran.
Saudi Arabia and Bahrain offer a glimpse into the ongoing war in the region.

Bahrain is a tiny island emirate home to a Shia Muslim majority ruled over by the Sunni Muslim Khalifa monarchy.
Sunni Islam is the terrorist part.  Muslim Brotherhood are Sunni, Barak Hussein Obama is Sunni put in whitehouse by Saudi royals.
Shiites crushed in March 2011 following the entry of Saudi, Kuwaiti and United Arab Emirates forces. Tensions remain high.

Saudi Arabia is a main regional rival of Iran.
They are separated by sectarian loyalties, strategy toward the West and competition for dominance in the Gulf.

In Bahrain, recent revelations have centered on two cases.
In the first, a Bahraini citizen convicted in July 2011 of transferring military information in Bahrain to Iranian diplomats in Kuwait had his 10-year sentence confirmed this week.
He sought to photograph military installations in Bahrain and homes of USA Naval employees in the Gulf.

In February 2013 Bahraini authorities arrested 8 Bahraini citizens accused of membership in an Iran terror cell who planned to attack Bahrain airport and assassinate Bahraini officials.

Shia majority in Bahrain and the Saudi Shia minority face real repression and discrimination.
The existence of real and justified grievances does not, however, cancel out the evidence of Iranian subversive activity.
It was the shia who were so happy to see USA troops entering Iraq in 1992.

Bahrain clashes continue
April 19, 2013
Heavy clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces have continued in Bahrain, ahead of Grand Prix.
Demonstrators blocked roads with burning tyres, and police fired tear gas and stun grenades, as violence over the past week intensified.
The main opposition society al-Wefaq has called for a big protest on Friday.  Yep.  Friday is the Muslim holy day when they riot.  Their devil god.
Activists demand race canceled due to Bahrain poor human rights record.  Haha!  Islamic nations dont have human rights!

Bahrain Prahblemz
Jan 27, 2014
Bahrain protests follow the funeral of a man shot by police in self defense as he attempted to run them over with his car. He was plotting to smuggle weapons and explosives into Bahrain.
Tensions between the Shiite opposition and the Sunni-led government.
The Shiite majority demand reforms. Sunni protesters whine about discrimination.
Earlier in January, Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa held talks with main opposition chief Sheikh Ali Salman for the first time since the Shiite demonstrations began 3 years ago.
The US Navy Fifth Fleet is in Bahrain.

7 years in prison for offending Bahrain king
February 05, 2014
Offending King Hamad can now result in up to seven years in prison, Bahrain announced Tuesday. The news comes just days before the third anniversary of the Shiite-led, Arab Spring-inspired protests against the kingdom’s Sunni monarchy.

Bahrain amended its 1976 penal code to carry a minimum one-year and maximum seven-year sentence, including a fine of up to US$26,000, for "publicly offending the king of Bahrain, its national flag or emblem,” state news agency BNA reported.

The prison sentence could rise above seven years if the “offense was committed in the presence of the king," BNA added.
Prior to the law change, the same charges against the monarchy carried a minimum sentence of a few days.

Bahrain convicted and jailed two activists for one and four months, respectively, in 2012 for Twitter comments that supposedly insulted King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Social media comments are included in the new edict.
Rodney Shakespeare, chair of the Committee against Torture in Bahrain, told RT that the tightened restrictions on dissent show a kingdom in its final throes.

“The only thing it will do is make the Khalifa regime even more ridiculous, even more pompous,” he said. “This is something in the last stages of their power, before they get overthrown; in particular, they get overthrown by members of their own side.”
Also on Tuesday, a criminal court in the capital of Manama sentenced 23 Shiites to five years in jail for taking part in unlicensed protests and alleged attacks with petrol bombs, AFP reported. Another Shiite received three years in jail.

Saudi Prince Arabic News Channel Alarab
February 1, 2015
-  The fight for Arabic news viewers is heating up.
A new pan-Arab channel known as Alarab took to the airwaves Sunday from Bahrain, promising an objective, fresh and unbiased view of world events.  It is backed by Saudi billionaire and royal family member Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

Alarab's lead story was the purported beheading of Japanese journalist Kenji Goto by ISIS.
Then it reported Bahrain's decision to strip the citizenship of 72 nationals. Notably, its guests included prominent opposition activist Khalil al-Marzooq.  The channel faces stiff competition from the MB Qatar-based Al-Jazeera and Sky News Arabia and Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya.

Hezbollah threatens Bahrain
February 3, 2015
-  Hezballah terrorists have global ambitions far beyond Lebanon.
They sent thousands of terrorists into Syria, Iraq, Yemen and now threaten Bahrain.
But their expansions undermine Hezbollah support at home. Their appetite for fighting Israeli is waning.

Nasty Nasrallah issued a veiled threat to Bahrain, although he said protests should remain peaceful. Weapons can be sent to the most secure countries. Fighters and gunmen can enter and small groups can sabotage a country.  Long article
